- Q: For my 2002 gti 1.8L 4 cyl My buddy says to find a full exhaust system for around $500/600 bucks, because they will give better performance or something like that. I found one on amazon for $150 then one on O‘riely that‘s like $490, they both kinda look the same but I want good quality, i also found some for like $999, and I can‘t spend over $500 on one. Some one tell me what‘s the difference and what should I go with? Thanks
- I tend to go with FACTORY(as they bolt on and the holes match the studs VW Research Development Department tends to have more money to do best exhaust configuration Research than any custom exhaust garage. VW is no different than Chev or Ford (those are the companies with the money) so they do the research on every motor style. Then they choose the best one for that engine. Which would make sense; right? Otherwise they guess with every vehiclewhich is ludicrous. Sure, some clown with a pipe bender can make you an exhaust manifold and weld it up and spray paint it white or black or chrome But, they do not say invest $12,000 or more in designing it. They do not have the money nor the test faucilities to do that. They just bend pipe and weld it.and paint it. Theirs just makes more noise. Difference? Price. and advertising But they do not have the proof to back up their claims.
- Q: I‘m lookin to get a new exhaust system for my 1996 honda civic ex coupe that doesnt sound like a fart cannon and adds a bit of horsepower, any suggestions?
- I prefer the stock Honda brand.
- Q: I have a Toyota Tundra (2003, 6 cylinder). Do you have any suggested component changes?
- sure it wil get a small amount of horse power by changing them. but most likey you wouldnt see it so much as hear it like 15 to 20% gain maybe like only a few horse power like 5 to 15 more or less
- Q: What would be the best Exhaust System for a 2001 Ford Ranger Super Cab? For power and sound
- You read my mind, Flowmasters baby i have them on my 00 mustang gt and i love them loud and nice.
- Q: Hello, i am looking for an exhaust system for my 2007 audi a4b7. The thing is, it is an automatic, fwd CVT transmission. The exhaust system i was looking at was the 2.5 exhaust system by APR, But it is only available for FWD manual models. I have FWD Automatic, will the exhaust still fit in my car?
- Shouldn't be a problem.
- Q: wats the best exhaust system brand for audi r8 but i need one to make the gr8st sound nd it price plz thx
- The kind you can't afford.
- Q: I‘m looking for an exhaust system for my 2005 Audi a4 b7 2.0 non-turbo. there are so many different systems to fit all the type of engines, but just not for the non turbo. Is this because the other systems still fit or because its a rarer model than others. maybe there just isnt a exhaust out there for it? Just a little confused. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
- Usually Audi performance parts manufacturers do not produce exhaust products for non-turbo models because of a few reasons. One, most Audi non-turbo engines are not very tunable, meaning they do not upgrade easily. Secondly, the performance gains on non-turbo vs turbo models (as far as exhaust goes) is alot different. HP/torque gains in non-turbo models tend to be alot less significant than turbo models, pretty much making any products that the manufacturers would sell for non-turbos a waste of costs to produce. That is not to say that there are no companies that make an exhaust system for your model, but alot of the times they release these systems after a couple of years (at least that is what I have noticed) So to sum your question up.it is hard to find non-turbo performance parts (mainly exhaust) because there is a smaller demand for these parts, the performance gains are minimal next to turbo models, and they are a little harder to tune
- Q: i have a 63 chevy truck that a took the 292 straight six out of and put a 350 in but i cant find an exhaust system in a catalog or online. i know that they didnt make that truck with a 350 so thats part of the problem but alot of people put 350s in those trucks so where can i go to get my truck equipped with an exhaust system
- All you need to do is look for an exhaust system listed to fit your truck and a SBC engine. All of the 1955-92 in cars and up to 2002 in trucks V8 small block engines has same exhaust port pattern, spread, etc So if system will fit one small block it will fit all of them 265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, 400
- Q: if u can, will it pass inspection?
- why the hell dont you just put a muffler see people have this thing that if the car dosent have a muffler then it has more power that isn't the case my car use to have straight pipes thats how i bought it but it was too loud and it really didnt have power cuz it had no back preassure what so ever i might have just been runing with out an exhaust system at all but i put in a high flow muffler it quite it down and it gave it better performance put in bigger pipes put in a highflow muffler keep your catalyctic converter and if you have headers change them before you smogg it then you shood be ok ive been doing this for 5 years now
- Q: I really need to find out! I am doing a story for my Drivers ED class, and there are no good answers on the internet! And really, I hardly know anything about cars, so if you have to use words such as differential, or muffler, please at least tell me what they are. Thank you! :)
- first off all the exhaust gas is designed to go out the end of your tailpipe(end of the exhaust system) depending on where the hole is it can mess up the computer(if your car has one)allow carbon monoxide(burnt hydrocarbons i.e. gas and air)to enter your vehicle(enough of which will kill you-not good) and not keep the proper back pressure in the exhaust system(designed to help your engine run better) also it can sound loud and you get a ticket for improper equipment(major sucks)-have fun in Drivers Ed and earn that insurance decrease in payment and the proper manner to operate a moving vehicle
