- Q: im looking for a site that has direct fits for your car. systems like magnaflow, flowmaster, dynomax, or other performance exhausts
- I would go to each of those companies websites to check out their systems. You will get far more detailed information on the products and what they have available. From there you can shop different sites for best price.
- Q: i want to give my truck a better sound since im driving now, do any of you guys know a really good system for my truck? price isnt a problem. i have a 2001 GMC 2500hd crew cab
- It depends on how much work you are willing to put into it. I have always found that Borla cat back exhaust were pretty nice sounding ones. You can also just buy a muffler and put it where the stock one is. They make Flowmaster which also sounds nice, but just cheaper.
- Q: In my a6, the mufflers point down, making them unable to see bc they are behind the bumper. Would i have to get a new bumper to make them fit or is there something i can do with my bumper?
- if you purchase an exhaust system designed for your car you will not have any worries. if not then who ever installs it can cut off any excess pipping or they can even cut holes in your bumper to make them fit. professionally done of course. best bet would be to purchase one designed for that year make and model.
- Q: I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 2.0L, the car was just purchased 2 weeks ago, and before that had stored winters and no rainy days so needless to say, the underside of the car is remarkably rust-free and clean. But being it was stored, the header pipe ended up coming apart at the steel mesh area. It is going to cost 175.99 plus installation for the new header pipe, or I can spend an extra 80 and buy a full Catback Exhaust System for it. Is this worth it? Or should I just buy the header pipe by itself? Keep in mind that I don‘t want to have to spend a ton of money on installation whether it be by me or a garage.
- knee deep is correct in that it a cat back is truly from the catalytic converter to the tail pipe You said turbos as in 2 on your car WOW The whole spill with the X pipe is if you have a true dual exhaust up front on a V8 and two completely independent exhaust pipes that don't share any flow up to the the point of the X-pipe. It's design is to then assist with back pressure and flow at the same time. If your car is turbo charged, I'd let the turbo deal with the back pressure and make my exhaust a free flowing as possible to cut down on turbo lag. If your exhaust is restrictive it slows the flow and delays the spool up of the turbo. But let a engineer at some exhaust company determine whats best for you. Call around to several companies and you'll get a good idea on what you need
- Q: 1.4t Sagitar exhaust system failure lights 11 Sagitar, now ran 50,000 km, and recently found a problem. A few days did not drive, suddenly the name of the open, start the engine noise than in the past to ring, and so idle after the normal start, because it is manual, almost stalled, this time found the exhaust system fault light began to light up, Is a flash, and continue to travel for a while is not bright. No matter what seriously. But recently there is always the above things, one for a while off. He also found that now than the previous idling exhaust sound big, not the kind of new car before the rhythm of the sound, and now a bit like a sudden tug of the sound, want to blaze like seeking experts to help the younger look. Thank you for the first time
- Engine Exhaust System Fault Alarm This alarm light is used to monitor the engine exhaust system operating status. A warning light indicates that the engine is missing and may damage the catalytic converter. In this case, you must immediately reduce the speed, careful driving to the nearest 4S at the maintenance of the engine. A warning light indicates that the exhaust system has failed (eg, the oxygen sensor is damaged) and the exhaust quality deteriorates. At this point, you must immediately slow down, carefully driving to the nearest 4S at the maintenance of the engine. It can be seen that oil may have an impact
- Q: i have a 2013 v6 challenger (3.6 LITERS) and the stock dual exhaust system sounds pretty good but its not loud enoughi dont have 500 bucks to change the whole exhaust system but i can afford the mufflers. now is it worth it?btw do they weld it in order to install it or they just use screws cuz i leased the car n i dont think im allowed to do thatplease help!
- Does it also require a timing belt?
- Q: What is the difference between a cat back exhaust and a performance exhaust system?
- Cat back is only half a$$ing it. the front portion of the exhaust system willstill be stock. If you want to get the most out of the other mods on the engine replace everything. I run all V8's and won't use anything less than 2 1/2 inch duals all the way.
- Q: I have a 1986 GMC c1500 p/k with 350 v8 5.0 liter bf goodwrench engine. Is there a website or any books? Also should i get a catback performance dual exhaust system with resonator tips or a performance glass pack dual exhaust system? Which one is louder and gives more horsepower?
- r u setting up an entire exhaust device? if so it is achieved by way of your self with some strategies: torque wrench for torquing down headers breaker bar- removing manifold bolts transportable torch from domicile depot- u could ought to warmth the bolts of the manifold to do away with them verify your exhaust hinges and hangars are in good shape. if the hot exhaust does not have the needed steel products and hinges to mount to the vehicle u could ought to take it to a keep to weld on those hinges or get ingenious to discover information on the thank you to mount the hot pipes to the vehicle physique.
- Q: i want to put a aftermarket exhaust system on my car but is it illegal in san francisco, california? and do the chp pick on cars that look jdm more??
- I agree with 'jettech' on this one,I've heard them referred to as 'clam shell' too. Oi' jettech! less of the 'Nigel' stuff!
- Q: ok i drive a 1987 chevy blazer k5 silverado that has a stock 350 in it. a friend of mine suggested a exhaust system called turbos that give it an intimidationg i mean business sound. which is what im looking for. my brother came up with some old turbos that he got off a friend. how can i tell if they are turbos and is there a site that i can go to,to listen to the turbos before i take it to the exhaust shop?thank you
- I recommend that you replace all four. and in all honesty $720 is extremely high, a typical strut cartridge for you vehicle should only be around $60. It is the labor that is hurting you. consider doing it yourself
