- Q: im looking for a good exhaust system for my 96‘ honda civic sedan lx. i dont want to pay over $400 though.
- The light came on because the computer is getting an abnormal reading from a sensor. Have the codes read and re-post with codes for advice. The light turns off if you fix the problem and reset the computer. Otherwise, if you just fix the problem, depending on the sensor, the light may take a day or a few to turn off by itself, if it doesn't right away. Just unhooking the battery or resetting the computer will not make the light stay off without fixing the problem.
- Q: Everywhere i look, all i can find are exhaust systems for simple 4 cyl accord engines and i cant find one for my v6 anywhere and its bugging me! Can anyone help?
- Nonsense--Meineke or Big AL'S HAS THE PARTS AND CAN MAKE THE PIPES. You can also Google Honda exhaust system--isn't that what search engines are for? C'mon--I just found one for my 24-year-old Toyota; a 12-year-old Accord V-6 should be child's play. Oh--and most cities have at least one repair shop that specializes in Hondas--there's no excuse for not finding parts for the #3-selling car in the world.

- A small shop maybe $150 if it's a cat back (no fabrication/hanger move). A larger place around $250. Yeah.it's something you should do yourself if it's direct fit. I don't know off hand.I'm not a chrysler guy.

- Putting just exhaust on your car will more than likely hurt the amount of horse power you get, plugs and intake and exhaust don't do much for you car. You really need to turbo your RX-8 before you do anything else.
- Q: I have a 2001 celica gt and am debating on what to put in it. Should i put a turbo in it or just a full exhaust which would include, cold air intake, headers and greddy exhaust with high flow cat? which is going to pull more horsepower? i assume it will be the turbo but how much of a horse power difference will there be between the turbo and the full exhaust system?
- full exhaust would be better as a turbo would stress the engine plus you would have to reprogram computer to get it to run properly. Also you would have to use premium fuel.

- Usually the down pipe is an extra cost item. It is not included with a cat back system.

- Each car has different exhausts. They dont just have exhaust for convertibles The only way your gonna get a ricey sound is if you have a 4 cyl car with a fat loud exhaust
