- Q: Audi a4 tank exhaust system throughput is not correct
- Audi fuel tank ventilation system with ventilation solenoid valve, pipe rupture or solenoid valve can not open are reported this fault
- Q: What does a Magnaflow Exhaust System do?
- Magnaflow opens up the exhaust system for more horsepower and better fuel milage. It doesnt neccesarily make it loader. The cheap systems are louder than the high quality systems. Some of the diesel systems are quieter than the factory systems. It all depends on which grade system you get
- Q: My 2000 Volkswagen Passat has all kinds of nasty exhaust sounds, rust, and check engine lights going on. I was looking into replacing the left *half* that seems to be causing the trouble and I can get the pipes WITH catalytic converter that will just bolt into the muffler for like $320. My question is, would it be cheaper for me to just buy the cat. for $100 and have a local shop custom weld the rest? Or are custom muffler jobs pretty expensive?Thanks!P.S. if this is an ignorant question I apologize, I really don‘t know anything about exhaust systems.
- Getting a straight piece of tube become an exhaust pipe is more about bending than welding, so I doubt that would end up being cheaper. Only the shop will be able to answer this after taking a look at the situation. With some luck you could find an aftermarket half which is almost as good but cheaper than the original part. That's the best solution.
- Q: I have a ‘90 Mazda MX-5 Miata. I‘m looking at buying either a Magnaflow or Borla cat-back exhaust system. Basically, I want to know which brand is considered better. Looking for deeper, louder, and more throatier sound, and also better HP increase. I‘ve seen videos of the Magnaflow exhaust on YouTube, but couldn‘t find any on Borla.
- Borla is a very good product, but if your looking for horses then take off your heads aND HAVE THEM DO A PORT AND POLISH JOB ON THEM, GET A BIGGER
- Q: What is the best exhaust pipes to put on an 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa for max horsepower gain slipon & full system?
- The top of the line most bad azz system is hands down the Akrapovic Evolution Full Exhaust Systems with a Power Commander III and Custom Map. That will give the best horse power results. If money is not the issue and power is, this is the best of the best!! As for the sound they are also incredible. The have a nice deep sound that is great. I not only sell this system it is what I have on my 04 GSXR1000. As a dealer I can get any system and as a DynoJet Certified Service Center I see the horse power results of all the systems. For me, the performance was the most important aspect of any system too and I selected the Akrapovic. The full system for your bike runs –$1657.95 Get the full system at $1657.95 and I will throw in a Power Commander III USB Free. The PCIII USB retails for $339.95. So $1657.95 Full System Power Commander III USB. If you want some prices on other less expensive systems I have them. I like the Yosh systems second to the Akra systems. 1-866-204-0942
- Q: I have a 1986 GMC c1500 p/k with 350 v8 5.0 liter bf goodwrench engine. Is there a website or any books? Also should i get a catback performance dual exhaust system with resonator tips or a performance glass pack dual exhaust system? Which one is louder and gives more horsepower?
- I think he should go to the vet and have them see whats wrong I feel really bad for the squirrels
- Q: I have a hole in the top of my muffler and a hole in my resonator as well (rusted out). I can‘t find a cat-back system, so I‘m forced to buy everything a la carte. I have worked on my car a lot under the hood but have never worked on the exhaust system. My question is what the difference between a flange and a clamp is? Don‘t they serve the same purpose?
- After a new built engine you have to think about the transmission, 212,000 miles is a lot for a car, buicks are good cars but a transmission may be more than the engine, of course once it is all said and done it may go another 212,000 miles,,,a new car might be what you need right now especially in the northern states where it is colder in the winter.
- Q: What are all the different types out there. Ive heard of straight pipe, x pipes, catback, muffler tip, header backSo if someone can please clarify them for me and tell me pricesAlso which gives the most hp or best sound
- a catback is the part of the exhaust from the catalytic converter to the end. These dont improve performance as the bottleneck of exhaust fumes will still be in the manifold and pipe leading to the cat box, these catback. These make the car sound powerful but lend almost nothing to its speed. If you buy a full system, it will include the manifold, pipe and cat box, which will mean you have a wider pipe for the whole thing, which reduces the pressure in the exhaust, allowing the exhaust from the engine to be transported away more freely. I would strongly recommend the full system if you plan on modding your car for performance. You can even just get the cat box for now, then buy the rest later on and install it. However, if you know nothing of cars, I would recommend getting it all done at once, so you save on mechanics labour cost. A good next performance improver would be getting a performance air intake, which is another good 'bolt on' mod which increases performance. remember to admit both to your insurer, otherwise you stand to have your insurance voided if you crash and they find it.
- Q: I have a 1986 Chevy Caprice 8Cyl. 5L. Gas, Carb: VINH That has a exhaust system with a Catalytic Converters and a muffler.(Only one pipe) I want my car to run better and go a little faster. What should I buy? And can I upgrade anything else to make it faster? P.S. I just put a new holley carburetor in and the motor is only 3yr. old.
- Not really. A free flowing exhaust will only add performance gains if the other areas of the engine are modified as well such as the air intake and the fuel system. A free flowing exhaust will only help flow more air if the engine is breathing more air through the intake. After the exhaust and intake are improved, then the restriction becomes the cylinder heads along with the intake manifold. You are better off spending the money on engine upgrades such as a performance camshaft, roller rocker arms(possibly even upgraded rocker arm ratio from 1.5 to 1.6), and intake manifold and carb. Headers are another area to add some performance gain. but just adding a performance exhaust won't help you much at all.
- Q: I recently got into a fender bender in my 2006 Pontiac g6.the damage isnt that bad at all and I am ordering all the replacment parts soon.however, looking at all these parts has made me want to throw a cool exhaust system on my car.i am not a big car guy at all uld someone tell me a good and affordable exhaust system that would make my car sound cool and also let my engine breath a little better? much obliged for your help
- most exhaust systems for a stock G6 are just going to end up sounding hollow and weak, especially since it's probably an automatic. my best advice would be to go to KN's website and get a short ram intake, it'll give your engine a deeper and louder sound. they usually cost around $200+, but that's better than spending over $500 for an exhaust system.
