So i found a old monitor but cant find the power cable what cable do i need?
Look at the monitor - there should be a label or imprint or something telling you which input the monitor requires. Without that it's impossible to determine the correct adapter. Copy all the information (Volt, Watt, Ampere) there should also be a symbol telling you if the center is plus or minus. Or make good picture of the label. With all that information go to a good electronics or computer store and ask for a power supply unit that covers those requirements. You should also know which plug to use or get a power supply that has adapters for the plug. Easiest would be to take the monitor with you to the shop to avoid troubles. You can also try to google the monitor and see if you can find a spec sheet.
I have a monitor which has a input rating of 100-240V and a 1.5A current. But I have a cable which gives out 250V and a 10A current.... The cable plugs into my monitor with no problem and it turns on just fine. But is it fine?
Yes its fine. Your monitor draws maximum of 1.5A current. And you say your cable can bear 10A current.
Power Cable Check Well b-type covers show what?
Indicating the carrying capacity of the covers, according to "People's Republic of China town construction industry standards" to understand that: steel fiber reinforced concrete inspection covers are divided into A, B, C, D four
If you submerss the metal end of any kind of power cable like an extension cord in water will it work again?
It will if dried out over night. Placing it in direct sunlight will dry it faster. A hand held hair blower/dryer will work the best. Never use a wet cord for anything! This could lead to electric shock and/or death!
I have 8x220ah deep cycle car battery's at 12v and i wanted to run an 5kw 12v power inverter but i would need cable which is 400amp 12x4004800 so could i use two cable connected to the battery's and split the power into 2 cable or would this not work if so whythe inverter would be using 400amps from the battery and it would be supplying 20amps at 240voltsis my working out correct
In this case, you should have put the batteries in series to get 48 or 96 volts, that makes the cabling easier. Too late now. Yes, at 5kW, that is 5000/12 420 amps I don't know what size wire you are using, and what the distance is, so I can't help further without that information. For example, if you are running 10 feet of cable (20 total) and you want to lose only 5% of the voltage, which is 0.6 volts, then the resistance of the wire needs to be less than 0.6/420 1.4 mΩ. That is, over 20 feet, 71 mΩ per 1000 feet, which is 000 AWG wire. Mush more than 10 feet, and you need to use MCM wire. .
I am upgrading a two-year-old higher end HP tower to include a mirrored hard drive. I did a little vacuuming and inspection and plan to order the exact model drive which is in there now. I noticed that the SATA cables used include a simple plastic latching mechanism in the connector. I checked CDW and found quot;latchingcables made by Startech which I assume should work (but the latching part is made of stamped metal). My biggest question is the power connector. The factory installed molex-to-SATA adapter also has this latch mechanism (on the black hard drive side), but I cannot find a cable anywhere mentioning a latch on the power connector. Is this something specific to factory installation? Thanks.
No. Latching cables as you call them are available at retailers. Try Newegg...
I have a be quiet! dark power pro 850W. The sleeving is too thick for cable management!! It is a complete mess with the antec 900. its ridiculous as I bought it with cable management in my mind. Can I buy thinner cables on their own? Is there a standard modular fitting size?Thank you.
the capability connectors that plug into the slots on a modular capability furnish are no longer common -- they are particular to that distinctive style of furnish (there is a few standardization for modular PSUs made by a particular producer, yet i does no longer even confirm approximately that). So, in case you opt for further cables, you ought to touch client service on your style of PSU or examine help boards at their internet site to work out what the technique is for paying for them.
even though it lights, its not so bright. its little dim but cpu is not at all turning on, its silent...
CPUs don't 'light'. nothing ain't - nothing is not - everything is (that's what you really are saying). The power light may 'light', but if there is no CPU function, no power is going through the CPU. Probably a bad PSU (Power Supply Unit). Change it (cheap).
