Q: what is a catback exhaust system?
Dead. All dead. The grim fact of plane crashes is the fact that as soon as it hits the land or water, it just disintegrates, along with its passengers. Its pretty rare for a pilot to recover something like this.but I personally wouldnt feel the slightest bit of hope if i was about to crash on a plane.
Q: My 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport is in need of a new Exhaust System. We do not have any sort of inspection here in Michigan, so I was wondering if I could just do a straight pipe all the way back instead of adding the converter and then just add the muffler and tailpipe. Thanks in advance.
Check your exhaust to see if you have a post O2 sensor and a pre O2 sensor on your catalytic converter. If you just have a pre O2 sensor, I would say go for it. The ills of a straight pipe all the way back is that you run into the issue of crushing the pipe on the rear axle. You could have them run out the side just before the rear wheel. Just don't have any rear windows open when you are driving.
Q: I have a 1996 Geo metro with a terrible exhaust system with lots of holes and shitty muffler and i don‘t want to pay for some one to do it so i want to do it, but what do i need and is it difficult. because i have pipe cutters torches every tool i need just don‘t have the knowledge so can any one help me understand what to do.
The question you may want to look into is how are you going to get money when you want to cash your american silver eagles out
Q: could someone explain the basic meaning of all these terms?High Flow CatsCat-Back Exhaust SystemTrue Dual Exhaust SystemY-PipesX-PipeTest PipesDownpipesResonatorsMid PipeIf you can tell me any of them or point me in the direction of a site that gives similar information other than pedia i‘d appreciate it
Sounds Exhausting to me! High flow cat converter? Higher than stock converter exhaust flow. Cat back system Is a complete exhaust system behind the stock cat (legal) that will either be true dual two pipes front to back or single pipe. Y pipe is for single to dual or dual to single tube. X pipe smooths out the exhaust pulses by blending pulses from both sides. Test pipes are cat converter eliminators (Illegal) but some time necessary in order to make the 5 gas testing equipment work at the Dynometer shop to adjust the fuel and timing tables. Down Pipe generally is from the manifold to first connection or turbo outlet. Resonators is a tube/muffler to silence some undesirable noise. Mid pipe is in the middle? There are many manufactures of exhaust equiptment if I knew what the make and model engine size car your working on? Good Luck
Q: I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 that rolledsomeone offered to buy the exhaust system and the ‘electronic brain‘, how much are these items worth used but in good condition, and is the electronic brain a legitimate term? Ive had two people tell me about it and I have never heard of it beforeThanks in advance
Well if I were you I wouldn't sell it. But returning to your question, I don't really know the price, but it is not cheap, that's all I know, but if you decided to sell it, and you want to keep your truck, you are going to have a lot of problems, if you dont want to, you should ask a proffesional, cuz, the price of the exhaust system can be lower if it is rusty or something. Good luck!
Q: I want to gain a little more acceleration so i can take off quicker like when going on the highway but i dont like the ones with large mufflers so i am thinking about getting a flowmaster exhaust installed on my ex. Even though it is automatic will i still notice any performance gains, even slightly? I figure since the pipe outlet is like the same size as the oem one that i will still have the back pressure needed and get the benefits of the high flow exhaust pipe too.also if i get that installed should i also get a new aftermarket intake put on too? is it better to have both or would it be a waste and should just get the exhaust. becuase i hear the stock air intake system is more efficient thatn a short eram or cold air aftermarket one.thanks
usually that kind of stuff is bad for the vehichle my dad is a mechanic and he says that sure it makes it sound cool but in the long run it ***** things up in your engine. i wouldnt do it but thats just me
Q: Can you put the factory duel exhaust on a 2004 impala that originaly came with single without any problems? thx, comparing LS series duel exhaust to regular plain impala single to see if you can interchange them.
the rear bumper cover is also different, unless you take it to a muffler place you would have to replace the whole pipe and that would be expensive
Q: rotten exhaust system transmission slips busted rear bumper it runs but its rough around the edges.
The vermiculite will only have a very small chance of having asbestos in it. typically the suspect vermiculite came from one area in Montana and was a very small portion of the total amount mined. as for laying insulation on top of the vermiculite -- yeah, no problem in doing that.
Q: With what exhaust system will I get more hp? I have 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 4.7L V8.
You miles per gallon of gas is seriously going to go down. I don't know about it being safe, but you're going to be paying a lot more for gas if you get wider tires. You might want to check state laws on high your vehicle can be. Back in the day, it was cool to lift to your vehicle but I remember cops going around measuring to make sure it was within legal limits.
Q: I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus V6 2.7l. I was looking into exhaust systems, which I know nothing about. My question is since my stock exhaust system is still in good shape, should I just look into an aftermarket muffler? And if I do so, do I need to buy a tip as well? Thank you all in advance.
Just buy a muffler, you don't need a tip or anything else since your stock exhaust system is in good shape.
