Q: i dont know much about exhaust systems please enlighten me?
If you want to be loud, and get noticed, you can remove the catalytic converter, and replace it with a test pipe, or hollow it out. If you do it yourself, it's free! That's probably the easiest way to do it. HOWEVER this will not improve performance. If you want performance AND sound, look around at exhaust cutouts, cat-back exhaust (Meaning from the catalytic converter, and back), and aftermarket headers. Exhaust is one of the easiest 'bolt on' mods you can do aside from an air intake A few notes though -Car enthusiasts will not be impressed, because they will know it's not performance -This is illegal, and you will not be able to pass emissions testing. However, some people pay off mechanics to pass the car, or put the cat back in when the test comes around. I don't recommend this. ;-) -You will be called a ricer, especially with an Integra -You will get more attention. From everyone. Police included -If you're 16, your parents probably won't like it -As I said, this is illegal, so you're going to have to do it yourself, have a friend do it, or go to a shady mechanic. Hypothetically of course, because I don't condone illegal behavior. Wink wink -Unless you get a real exhaust system, it could sound like a higher pitched sound, unlike the deep rumble you're probably looking for. Youtube some stuff like exhaust no cats or cat-back exhaust Despite all this, highschool kids, for the most part, have no idea about cars, and will think your car is wickid sick! or hella cool or whatever. Good luck man!
Q: i have a 2001 mazda 323 astina hatchback, i want to get an exhaust system on it but i was wondering how much i would be looking at for it. i want it to be loud enough so you can tell theres an exhaust system but not too loud. what type of extractors etc would be best for this?
The best exhaust is the factory stock. As much as the aftermarket would like you to believe, there is just not much power to be gained by replacing anything from the catalytic converter on back. The smaller the engine, the smaller the gain. About all you get with a loud muffler is a lot of noise. It will sound kind of like an old tractor.
Q: what is the best choice for an exhaust system to put on my ‘08 TBSS??
a tin can would probably make that POS sound better
Q: I have a 2008 Honda CRF250R.It has stock exhaust at the moment.I was thinking of getting an aftermarket exhaust system.I am looking for more power and for it to be louder, as I have no sound limit for the MX track I own. Will a single or Dual muffler give me more power and noise?PLEASE CAN NOBODY GET CRAPPED OFF AT ME FOR WANTING A LOUD MUFFLER! I OWN MY OWN MX TRACK! NOBODY LIVES ANYWHERE NEAR IT AND THERE IS NO NOISE RESTRICTIONS!!!ANYBODY WHO TELLS ME THAT I SHOULD GET A QUIET MUFFLER SHOULD BE SHOT BECAUSE I AM MAKING IT VERY CLEAR THAT NOBODY CARES IF THERE IS LOUD BIKES WHERE I RIDE!!!!!!
exhaust systems cost a lot and don't add much power, an Athena big bore cylinder cost a little less than a full system and gives much more substantial power gains. plus you won't have a needlessly loud bike that will get attention from enviro-nazi's whether you think it will or not, and that's bad for all of us
Q: Can exhaust systems from other year model Suzuki RM 125 fit a 1987 Rm 125? If so, which ones could I use?
yes but its not the same as you would have as standard equiptment i used to install them in the seventys its a siren and four or more momentary switches. you install the siren any where and it is started by a key switch you install that anywhere and on the doors hood trunk you install the switches and wire it with the instructions that come with it takes me 3 hours will take you a little longer. and then you can take it with you when you sell the car
Q: also what makes the gas milage change? is it the size/length of the pipe? and would there be any change in fuel economy if you only change the exhaust tip?please give me all the information you can, i‘d be greatful. Thanks
Adding a free flowing exhaust system will increase gas mileage.
Q: what is the difference betweeen these 2 exhaust systems on a 1979 monte carlo?
Who do you think of will win Monte Carlo? Nadal Who will attain the terrific? Federer Who might have a marvel run? Ferrer Who might have an early go out? Murray What tournament are you looking forward to? Verdasco vs. Raonic hahhaha
Q: Hello i have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP . I was pulled over the other night for having too loud of an exhaust. I know what i need, i need a new cat back. I was looking at the SLP cat backs . I was curious if they would make any difference in horsepower or should i just go with a new stock cat back? Help please
SlP cat backs are usually loud. Get something stock better. I installed a ZZP DP with cats and it gave the GTP a nice deeper grumble. It wasnt too loud or obnoxious, cops never looked at me twice. Plus it freed up restricted ponies, you could feel the difference. Bottom line no horsepower with catback, only sound and style.
Q: i dont want a really loud exhaust a nice sound(quiet sound) but more performance than anything.
Flowmaster is known as one of the best . See link below for an example on a ZR- 1 engine and you can see the horsepower gain yet the exhaust wasn't loud.
Q: Right now im thinking about getting a full Bassani SS Exhaust system [ Bassani SS Axle-back, Bassani SS Catalytic X-Pipe,and Bassani Longtube Headers], i got a quick glimpse on what the SS axle-back will sound like and i like it, but i might be looking for more does anybody have any idea what kind of exaust setup i should get? im looking for something with a deep aggressive sound to them something to get my blood pumping everytime i step on the gas and that will bring some attention to other ppl when i drive by?
bassani's sound good for quality, reliability, price and sound go with the flowmasters or magnaflow
