- Q: I have a 2012 Hyundai Genisis, and I‘m looking for an exhaust system that would sound good, but I‘m having trouble finding one. Thanks!
- the exhaust pipe is not what makes the sound, the muffler does ! get the factory exhaust and put on a turbo muffler !
- Q: I have a 1997 base 3.8 Camaro and Im looking to put some sort of aftermarket exhaust system in it to give it better sound and more horse power. I don‘t have a catalytic converter in it and I‘m wondering if i need one to have the exhaust put in? Thanks.
- Several years ago My father bought an after market cruise control for his Kia that wired in without imbedded systems, it may take a little adapting, this one used a magnetic sensor that you might get to put on a wheel for balancing, magnet on wheel, sensor on front fork. That kit cost $110 in 2004 and I put it in 1 afternoon
- Q: I bought a Catback Exhaust system from OBX Racing specific to my 2010 Mazda 3 S Sport. I took it to a licensed mechanic as to not void my warranty and he said he could not do it because VA requires there to be Cats on the vehicle and that I would have to buy one for him to install the system. I have no idea about exhaust systems but if I bought a Catback Exhaust system, doesn‘t it have Cats?
- That mechanic is bullshitting you catback exhaust means it runs from the CAT- Back. The cats are still in place, you bolt them right after the cats. Take it to another mechanic or do it yourself . it's pretty easy to do as long as you have a lift
- Q: Basically, I am looking to exhaust out some hot air (roughly 25,000btu/hr) from a piece of machinery. I believe if I do this, it will releave my hvac unit of 300,000 btu/day (12hrs of operation) of cooling power needed jus to negate the heat from this piece of equipment. Ive already designed and fabricated a vent adapter that catches all the outcoming air and redirects it into a 4 exhaust pipe. This exhaust has been ran up the wall, through the ceiling and now I‘m at the part where I ask myself, exactly how do i get this out? There have been problems thus far, in which the equipment overheated because the heat accumalated in the newly fabricated vent thingamajig. I figured if I can create negative pressure (by some type of forced suction, ie vacuum, fan, etc), that I can effectively remove that heat. Are there any brands or specific models that do some hi-flow suction/ventilation unit out thats economic (under $500 not incl installation) at the same time? Thanks for your time, and consideration :)
- you can use big types of exhaust fans which we use in big hotels for exhausting heat or you can also use secondary refrigeration cycle to cool the hot air, it will need some more power but heat added to the environment will be reduced to large extent and you'll make your project ecofriendly upto some extent
- Q: I have a Dodge Charger SXT. I want a dual exhaust system, do I have to purchase a whole new exhaust kit?
- its cheaper to purchase a performance exhaust system than to try and have one built for it,got to borla,s web site, they got a complete performance exhaust for that car, good luck.
- Q: I have 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, Im wanting to get a nice new exhaust that sounds as close to a V8 as possible. This truck has a 4.0L V6 in it. I prefer to have a dual exhaust. I was considering MagnaFlow, Gibson, or Heartthrob, but I‘m not sure which would be better. Help? Any and all knowledge.
- The problem with questions like this is that 'sound like a V-8' is so subjective. I have two V-8 Fords now, so what I want them to sound like is probably totally different then what you consider a V-8 sound. I've run FlowMasters on my Mustang, that's what's on it now, and it sounds sweet to me. Suggestion - Since it's a 'personal' question, how about going to a car show keeping your ears open. Listen to the cars come go, ask what type of systems a couple of the nicer sounding ( to you ) have.
- Q: something that improves hp, fuel mileage, and something thats loud
- Borla exhaust cat back system
- Q: also were i can buy one
- well most company now are making many street exhaust system under 93dbs, DC Sports, Skunk2, and Greddy to name a few go under there sites and they have a list of each one.
- Q: I am looking for louder engine noise while keeping the deep tone the car already has, while adding some horsepower along the way. The 700 dollars does not include the labor just the price for the parts. I want to make it sound bad ***, but not to the point where the noise that the car already makes unrecognizable.
- Q: What aftermarket performance items are available for the V6? A: As with the LT1s, available modifications include KN free flow filters, air induction kits from API (800-426-8967), Lingenfelter (219-724-2552), and RK Sport (800-214-8030). Dynomax and Borla exhaust systems are available from RK Sport. You can also get JBA headers, Nitrous Oxide systems, shorter rear gears, low temperature thermostats, computer reprogrammers, underdrive pulleys, and subframe connectors. Motorsports Technologies Inc. (MTI) (404-509-3494) carry most of these mods. Borla exhaust (w/ the adjustable baffles for the sound)!!!
- Q: I purchased my husband a Flowmaster Force II Exhaust thinking it was the right fit for his truck He has an 07 Ford F150. I failed to notice that with the flowmaster i currently bought it was for 09 and up. My question to all you auto men/women Is there a way to modify this exhaust system without having to ship it back and Re order a different type? Is it an easy fix to fix onto the truck? HELPPPPP
- the kit you bought has all the pipes prebent to fit the specific vehicle, if you take the truck to an exhaust shop they can bend new pipes to make the kit fit however that will cost more than sending the kit back and getting the correct one. so no there is no easy way to make it work
