- Q: Just wondering what you guys think, I really like the single because my dad had a Supra that had a HKS single exhaust and it sorta grew on me, but a lot of people I ask say I should go Dual. Is there any difference in power between the two? Are single‘s really looked down upon?
- As Larry E and Bikerwoody ,the large Geordie comedian Sid the Sexist as quickly as suggested that normally we are able to fall in a barrel of **** and pa out suking our thumbs. guarantee on tyres is there yet to declare the tyre could prepare some production ailment or be a keep in mind. My friends with tubless slicks get lots extra punctures. they could be waiting to patch it ,until the interior bands and threads have injury by using puncture.
- Q: I own a 05' Chevy Monte Carlo 3.8 3800 and I have the 2 dual pipes all factory with the mufflers, but I wanted to put the (Magnaflow exhaust)set up on it.Do i need to change everything or can I just change the mufflers and put the chrome stainless steel tips on there? or do I have to change the whole entire set up?What's an estimate of the cost?
- First off it will not sound like a tuner. If you get a Magnaflow with the resonator removed, it will sound great. You have just one muffler turned sideways with a exhaust tip on both sides. Magnaflow makes a transverse muffler made for a Camaro that will work for you. I had this put on My 04 Grand am Gt and it sounds great. Make sure you go with the stainless steel. It will last much longer. The muffler and labor is not bad, but the tips are expensive. I would go with something different looking than you have now. It will stand out more from other Monte Carlos. I paid $300 for Muffler, tips and resonator removal. The tips I picked were $35 each, but well worth the price for something that can make your car look different then the usual tips.
- Q: Details: I have a stock 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the stock exhaust system. What would I need to change if I upgraded the exhaust or muffler?
- nothing, if you get the system built for your vehicle it will bolt right up
- Q: Ok let me say this first i do not, i repeat DO NOT, want to have my car sound like those ricer hondas thats loud for no reason. I want my prelude to sound nice like kind of like an infiniti. I dont want my car too loud so cops can give me tickets or pull me over because of profiling. what kind of exhaust should i put in my prelude thats going to give it a nice purr but only gets loud when i floor it. I want an exhaust that gonna make v tec an eargasm. what do you recommend? if anybody suggest cherry bomb dont even answer.
- isn't a prelude a 4 cylinder car? You can not make it sound like a infiniti g35 or g37 because they have 6 cylinder. Like trying to make a 4 cylinder sound like a v8 american muscle engine, it isn't gona happen. btw you own a honda lol so you just called yourself a ricer hondas most ricers ARE 4 cylinder cars
- Q: I have a 2005 dodge dakota with a 4.7 liter magnum, 4 wheel drive, locking differential, 40,000 miles, and an SLT package. But i was looking for something to do to my exhaust. And when i took a look around i noticed that there were 3, count em, 3 resonators under there. I looked more carefully and saw that it could unbolt into three sections. If i took the last two sections off still leaving one small resonator and exit the exhaust pipe out the back will that void the warranty i still have on my truck? the cats are still there and it shouldn't do anything about emissions. Will this cause problems in the engine with the fuel mixture? And any back pressure issues? let me know because i would not like to void my warranty. (and they can be put back on)
- Usually anything infront of the last O2 sensor you cannot mess with it will void your warrenty. Due to all the smog rules and regulations. To be on the safe side I would call a Dodge dealer and ask them what you are able to do to the exhaust without voiding your warrenty.
- Q: i want to put a aftermarket exhaust system on my car but is it illegal in san francisco, california? and do the chp pick on cars that look jdm more??
- I agree with 'jettech' on this one,I've heard them referred to as 'clam shell' too. Oi' jettech! less of the 'Nigel' stuff!
- Q: I own a 150cc bike, and I am looking at ways by which I could increase the pick up without tinkering too much with the engine.I am considering using a free flow exhaust system, but I am still not very clear about how it workswhat would you recommend?Thank youPS: I understand that a 150cc bike is not mean‘t to be a power monsterbut I‘m sorta sentimentally attached to this bike, so I don‘t want to buy a new one
- Pilgrim has absolutely nailed this answer down. And it my case it was pure passion. I ate, slept and breathed choppers and, now that my knees are shot and I really can't ride much any more, I still eat, sleep and breathe choppers. I started with a 1400 Intruder and made the chopper of my dreams. The rest is history. When the right ride comes along, you'll know it or you'll build it. Live to Ride, Ride to Live
- Q: my system is apparently rotten form the end all the up to the catalytic converters, so would it be cheaper to get stock exhaust or aftermarket, any suggestions and if i buy a new system where does is start because the mechanic said i needed everything from the catalyitic converter back.it s a 1990
- A aftermarket stainless steel cat back exhaust is what your car needs. Nissan Mufflers and mid pipes are to expensive even if you could find them. Like the term Cat back means the two exhaust flanges right below the drivers seat rearward.
- Q: I want to buy a new exhaust system for my car, but i do not want to buy a ricer exhaust. I just want a better exhaust system so i can make my acceleration faster. So far i have looked online and all i have found hundreds of possibilities for a new exhaust system but i do not know what would give me the best performance for the most reasonable price.
- If you want low end acceleration power, exhaust will not cure that itch. get a timing advance to go along with a cold air intake and a cat back exhaust. that setup will allow your car to jump off quicker (using the timing advance) then continue to accelerate through the powerband by letting the car take in more air. also, make sure to do an idle relearn after doing the mods so the ECU will know how much gas to spit out to balance the air/fuel ratio. Good Luck!!
- Q: Just got this truck as a gift, looked underneath and the entire exhaust system is missing. How much do you think it‘ll be to repair?
- i had my entire system replaced on mine and it cost me about 350 for everything on it, there has to be something under it other wise it would be so loud that you wouldnt be able to stand to drive it like that, have an exhaust shop give you an estimate on it,most shops now are real competitive and one will beat anothers price on the same job, good luck.
