Q: A friend of mine just got new exhaust for his Daytona. I think it‘s an ‘08. He said I can have the old exhaust if I want. My Suzi is a ‘94. Is it possible to make this swap?
Free exhaust system- if you have room to store it a little while, take it. Mufflers can be used seperately maybe, otherwise you have trading pieces for next swap meet or sometimes salvage yard swap. Mufflers rust out quicker than pipes, pipes usually damaged in crash, somebody may need complete system yet this riding season and will swap or pay. Perhaps someone with a Triumph with custom exhaust will be ticketed for noise and told to get stock exhaust or have bike impounded for 2 months at $5/10.00 a day- then a used stock system can be a money saver. A 94 Suzi muffler may be getting a bit rusty, check pipe and muffler size and you may find you can use the mufler with a little extra mounting bracketing. I ran Triumph and BSA mufflers on /2 BMWs, others have run what could be made to fit quickly when faced with noise ticket and repair or lose bike orders. Honda 750 muffler can be made to fit a Sportster under that kind of emergency situation and it passed inspection
Q: For my 2002 gti 1.8L 4 cyl My buddy says to find a full exhaust system for around $500/600 bucks, because they will give better performance or something like that. I found one on amazon for $150 then one on O‘riely that‘s like $490, they both kinda look the same but I want good quality, i also found some for like $999, and I can‘t spend over $500 on one. Some one tell me what‘s the difference and what should I go with? Thanks

Q: Allure blessing of the exhaust system black smoke, lack of power
Gasoline engine black smoke is rare, black smoke is not completely burning fuel in the combustion chamber, in the case of high temperature and hypoxia, the diesel can not be fully combusted, and thus decompose the formation of smoke, it is A small collection of diameters.
Q: At what price is a cheap performance exhaust system that increases horsepower and Makes deep sound for an rsx?
Any muffler you add to an RSX will make it sound like a can of angry bees. The factory exhaust system on that car is completely adequate unless you start doing performance upgrades to the motor.
Q: I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country 4wd 4.0L 6cyl. I was told I need a whole new exhaust system and it would be $1,000 at the shop. I was hoping to buy the parts and have a mechanic friend put it together. What do I need? I know I need a Muffler, Tail Pipe (is that the same as an exhaust pipe?), and a Catalytic Converter. I‘m sure there‘s more so if you could please tell me that way I can get an idea how much it is to fix in parts alone. Best Answer gets 10 points, thanks!!

Q: Hey, I‘m a 16 year old kid and i just got a 1998 Lexus ES 300. It‘s a great car and I love it but it doesn‘t quite have the horsepower I‘m looking for. I heard that the cheapest way to increase the horsepower would be to change the intake and exhaust system. Could someone tell me what the average cost would be and the cheapest way to do it (well) would be? Thanks!
well im 16 too and have been doing some research. usually the first thing you wana upgrade is the cai. (cold air intake). they usually run like 200-500 dollars or somethin like that. theyre super easy to install too. as for the exhaust, there are three different sections, each could cost 300-500 dollars. for the most performance, you'd have to upgrade all three. and for installing a new exhaust system, youd need some experience working on cars and some equipment so you could work under the car.
Q: i want a loud and beast like sound that will just give you the goose bumps from idle to take off. ive seen people get long tube headers and what not but if someone was to have a flowmaster, borla, or whatever type exhaust system does the headers have to bve from the same name???
Do you want noise or power increase? Just changing the headers will not add any power because the rest of the system will still be restricted. Over sizing the inside diameter of the whole exhaust from the engine back is the only way to gain power. This lets the engine breathe better. If you just want to change the noise, you can just cut out the muffler and put a Stock or Race model in, or just a piece of straight pipe in it's place if your state allows it. You can get custom headers in any type and mix and match as long as you match the size of the outlet pipes and increase the diameter from there. This means that all the associated pipes, catalytic converters, and muffler will have to be changed to over sized. Good luck in your quest!
Q: I currently have 2 holes in my exhaust system (1997 Ford Taurus with about 73,000 miles on it) and not the $750.00 it would cost to get them repaired (unemployed and desperately looking for work with little luck). I live in Illinois where we have to take emissions tests for our cars every few years. I‘m wondering, with these holes in the system am I gonna fail the test? Hoping for knowledgeable answers, thanks!
id bet that the test would come back with results that say something like dilution, due to the air that is mixing with the exhaust. living in CA, we see that occasional.
Q: Im looking to relace my exhaust system and perhaps add another system to put them on both sides. Any recomendation of good companies and websites that sell them. Any videos/soundclips would be helpful aswell Thanks!
The factory exhaust is better then most aftermarket. you could get a BMW performance exhaust system from your local dealer.
Q: Flow meter calibration experiment, how to check the system exhaust is complete
In the flowmeter checkout experiment, how to check the system exhaust is completely looking at your flow device or system. There are several measures that can be used: 1) Install a transparent pipe at the corner of the horizontal and vertical pipe. Thus to direct observation. 2) Add an exhaust valve to the top of the vertical pipe. After passing the water, stop the water flow and open the exhaust valve until no gas is discharged.
