- Q:I‘m trying to figure out what kind of exhaust system to put on my truck idk if i should go with straight pipes or if I should get a performance muffler and what size of exhaust tips should I put on it
- Magnaflow Performance Exhaust systems are by far the best on the market. They are all stainless, and come with a Lifetime Guarantee They have some awesome tips that are also covered for life against any rust or defects. Magnaflow costs a bit more than Flowmaster, but you will not be disappointed with the sound or the increase in power.
- Q:I‘m looking for a full exhaust system for my 99 Honda civic. I‘m gonna replace the headers as well with performance headers. As we all know 99% percent of all civic on the road with aftermarket performance exhaust sound like ****. Whether we are man enough to admit it most of them do but I‘m looking for a little more performance. I‘m looking for something that will sound ok with a low town to it but i don‘t want that loud noise everyday of my life so is there an exhaust system i can buy with an optional silencer. Ive heard of them but idk if they actually work and where i could get something like this. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
- Check out super trapp. They're adjustable.
- Q:I have a 2000 Eclipse GT with the V6 3.0L automatic with the kick over.I wanted to put some new headers and a new exhaust system on my car. I was wondering what would be the best parts for me, and if there are any other bolt ons to add some horsepower. THANKS for the infoAlso if I can get your email to ask you bout someother stuff id like to do
- First off you NEVER put a straight through test pipe on a non-turbo car. You need reversion in your exhaust, second by taking out your A/C all you are going to do is make your car hotter, not faster. It has been proven time and time again that removing the A/C only nets between 1-3 hp at the wheels. If you are going to drive the car alot, LEAVE IT IN. Now as for the reversion thing I'll try to explain it simple. When the exhaust gases leave the head(s) its getting pushed out the exhaust, then it hits the catalytic converter which helps filter it before exiting, while it is being filtered it goes through a few chambers. Now all the while the piston goes up and down in the cylinder bore and the valves are opening and closing, while the air is trapped and being expelled the next cycle of gases are being discharged, now what happens is in a car with a open testpipe that is not turbocharged is the gases actually get sucked BACK into the combustion chamber due to the air that is kind of stuck in limbo trying to escape. Keep in mind that your engine is rotating extremely fast so all this is going on in just fractions of seconds. It creates kind of a log jam effect on gases and can decrease how effecient the combustion process is.
- Q:i want a sporty, in your face! type of attitude from the exhaust. sorta like what you would hear from a street racers car. any suggestions are welcome, i checked borla and they dont have any for the 99 eclipse.
- an aftermarket exhaust all by it self sounds like its farting, pal. im sure in ur city uve heard all those annoying mufflers ppl have on their cars floating about. people watch a lil too much fast and furious. IMO, i personally think its a good car movie, but too many ppl take it too seriously and think any ol' part will make their car fast and look nice. thats not how it is in REAL life! but to answer ur question, if u combine it with other parts, like a large turbo, cold air intake, BOV, aftermarket ECU (tuned) and sum camshafts and forged internals, it'll sound closer 2 wat a race car's exhaust note sounds like. ever wonder how formula 1 cars sound so pleasant when they pass by in the speedway? i just told u a small fraction of the answer! lol try a system by greddy 2 get u started. magnaflow is ok too. wat engine do u have btw? itll clear up alot of details and narrow the real answer down more.
- Q:Is it because the back pressure is out, How do i know what it should be.
- any time you make a engine breath better ex. performance filters exhaust intake ect you need to ad more fuel to the mixture because there is more air going threw get a chip is my suggestion can also try a higher fuel pressure regulator no need to rebuild injector unless your pushin 600hp with a turbo
- Q:I was driving it today and to go from 30-55mph, I had to nearly floor it. It is a 2.0L engine that I bought today (February 19th, 2008). Otherwise the car is in pretty solid condition. Also, the gas pedal is really loose, and I barely press it and I‘m moving. Basically, I just want to have to push a little harder on the throttle to start moving, and not have it on the floor to drive at highway speeds. Thanks
- Most stock engines that have been well maintained will run quite well enough without a lot of performance parts added, I wouldn't recommend high flow exhaust for that car unless you just love the pissed off weed eater on steroids sound. it won't give you any more power. I'd be looking at maintenance things like air / fuel filters, clogged fuel injectors, worn spark plugs etc
- Q:What is the best performance system for my 2008 4 cylinder honda civic?
- there is really no single bestitll all depend on the route of tuning and modding that you will be doing.you might want a simple piping or 2 1/4 -2 1/2 for na tuning or a 3+ for forced induction.exhaust will also depend on that and your own personal taste
- Q:I know it is kinda retarded to put exhaust on a V6 jeep but what you be the best type to put on it and it actuallyy sound good?
- i have a 1995 jeep cherokee-lifted 5 inches-put a flow master on it and it will purr
- Q:I have a ‘90 Mazda MX-5 Miata. I‘m looking at buying either a Magnaflow or Borla cat-back exhaust system. Basically, I want to know which brand is considered better. Looking for deeper, louder, and more throatier sound, and also better HP increase. I‘ve seen videos of the Magnaflow exhaust on YouTube, but couldn‘t find any on Borla.
- First, get a new header and cat! The closer the changes are made to the engine the better the results. Also most of the original headers crack and need replaced. This throws off the readings of the O2 sensor (runs rich) and results in clogging the cat. Next replace the cat, use a hi-flow one like a Mega flow. From there on back sound is not my concern, if it is yours then check you-tube for sound bites. True some of the clips there have poor sound quality. But it should help you if sound is your only objective. Me, I am after performance! So I shopped for a 2.25 inch system. The reason being that as the exhaust pipe gets larger, low end performance drops off. Go to big and then you have to stay high in the RPM range to get the benefit. But the ideal cruising RPM is about 3 grand and not many drivers operate in the 6 grand or more range. I know of Miata drivers who shift at 6 grand tops, so if you don't plan on high revs stay under 2.5. Right now Blue gets 34 MPG average, it has a Race Beat Header, Mega Flow Cat and a Monza exhaust. The Monza exhaust sounds more like the old sports cars, is carbon steel and a lot cheaper then either of those you are considering. My point is do the headers and cat first! That is where the biggest return on the investment can be made!
- Q:I have a built 455 with hooker headers. I need to find a good exhasut system to put on. I am currently running open cherrybombs right off the headers. What is a good exhaust to put on it? Im looking for something loud but also has a great muscle sound.
- toque converter most like - fells like it sliping
