- Q: I am soon gonna buy a brand new Vance and Hines exhaust system for my 96 katana 600. It comes with 4 into 1 headers and all the mounting brackets and installation instructions. I am paying $360 with shipping included. I want to know if im getting a good deal and if this is considered a full exhaust system and how will my bike perform and sound with this new exhaust. Its a vance and hines supersport exhaust system. I would like it to be loud, but i wanna know if it will be loud and will sound better than my stock dual exhaust. And also How much horsepower will it provide me. Thanks.
- You are getting shafted any time you buy aftermarket exhaust. Reason is your stock exhaust is already paid for and will last the life of the bike. Now you spend $360 for an exhaust that will make you have to rejet the carbs, another major expense nearly equal to the cost of the exhaust. Your stock exhaust meets the EPA limits for noise, and your aftermarket won't Oh yeah, you get about 4 hp for $700 dollars. BFD. So you will piss off your neighbors and others, and it will only cost you about $700 to make new friends. Have fun!
- Q: Hello, i am looking for an exhaust system for my 2007 audi a4b7. The thing is, it is an automatic, fwd CVT transmission. The exhaust system i was looking at was the 2.5 exhaust system by APR, But it is only available for FWD manual models. I have FWD Automatic, will the exhaust still fit in my car?
- Shouldn't be a problem.
- Q: The exhaust system is not free flowing
- If the new exhaust has beenon the bike for a week or two and it's gotten worse you best stop riding because the engine could be running too lean and burning the valves.
- Q: im looking to buy a exhaust system that increases my hp and wont sound ricerish on my 03 Eclipse GT Spyder. so maybe staying away from a catback exhaust. maybe a Borla or Injen. what kind would you recommend? and also a question i have about exhaust systems in general. would aftermarket exhausts cause the car the use more gas?? in other words lower mpg.thank you for your help
- Borla is definitely high quality. I've got a Borla catback exhaust on my '06 3.5 v6 Malibu and it sounds Porsche-esque. The only drop in fuel economy I've experienced is from me loving to put the pedal to the floor and listen to it.
- Q: Is there a difference between Exhaust Exhaust system? Is it really useful for increasing the speed of car?
- Exhaust is what is emitted from the engine and escapes from the tailpipe of your car. Exhaust system is the entire piping installed under the car to minimize sound and give back pressure for the engine to run properly. Systems consist of a front pipe, catalytic converter, intermediate pipe, muffler and then the tailpipe. each system can be made of several different diameters of pipes. You have 2 inch and smaller and then 2 1/2 inch and larger. the easier it is for the exhaust to escape from the engine creates more power. More air in and more air out more power. Too large of exhaust pipes can also hurt the power if the engine does not have enough back pressure . good luck
- Q: I have a 1987 s10 2.8l v6. I have a shitty exhaust and catalytic converter. i have a year before my next inspection so i was wondering how much would it cost to take off the cat, and run a new exhaust system without the cat. i‘m talking new piping and new muffler.
- Well, if caught, could cost you and/or the shop doing the work $10,000 since it's a federal offense and that is the maximum punishment for tampering with emissions systems. You can probably buy a whole replacement pipe set (with muffler) from somewhere like summit or jegs, made for your truck, which may save considerable expense and hassle since you can do the work yourself. If that is a flat catalytic converter (as opposed to the newer round ones) then yes, they are pieces of junk, but to keep from smelling exhaust all the time, I'd certainly recommend investing in a $70 replacement one of the high flow varieties. Especially if you are going to have to be tested again in the somewhat near future anyway.
- Q: rotten exhaust system transmission slips busted rear bumper it runs but its rough around the edges.
- I spray all my insulation in. It's quicker and a whole lot easier. If your doing this in your attic they recommend about 24 inches.
- Q: What exhaust sytem gives the best performance, saves gas, and makes my car sound louder ?
- This Site Might Help You. RE: What is the best exhaust system for the 2001 Honda Accord V6? What exhaust sytem gives the best performance, saves gas, and makes my car sound louder ?
- Q: What are the requirements for the four-wheel exhaust sequence when replacing brake oil?
- For the vehicle brake system to replace the brake oil and the pipeline exhaust are generally followed by the "distance from the master cylinder from far to near" principle in the order, that is for the left rudder driving the car is concerned In accordance with the "right after the left, right front, left front" of the exhaust sequence.
- Q: i bought a 1992 Dodge Ram 150. it definately has an exhaust system on it. how do i know what brand it is?
- I hope it has some form of exhaust on it. And when it goes out then you replace it. What does it matter if you know what brand it is? A simple call to the person you bought it from should tell you. No way we can tell from this distance.
