- Q: I have a 2001 toyota solara SLE v6 and i was woundering what exhaust system you guys would recommend to get the best sound?
- This Site Might Help You. RE: What differences would I see if i got an aftermarket cat back exhaust system? i have a stock exhaust system right now, but i know the manufacturers make unnecessary bends and curves to reduce noise or something. would i see much difference in performance or noise if i got an aftermarket cat back exhaust? such as magna flow or something?
- Q: My 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport is in need of a new Exhaust System. We do not have any sort of inspection here in Michigan, so I was wondering if I could just do a straight pipe all the way back instead of adding the converter and then just add the muffler and tailpipe. Thanks in advance.
- Not going to work. The computer 'tunes' the engine based on the O2 sensors that are sniffing the gases in the exhaust system. Without a cat, the exhaust gases will read as having too much extra fuel, which is what the cat would normally burn, so the computer will 'lean out' the engine to get the unburned fuel levels within spec. Also, if you ever try to sell it, it's illegal to sell a car with any of the federally mandated pollution or safety gear missing or not working.
- Q: I have a 99 2 door tahoe and i have a flowmaster super 44 and i want it to be a little louder how would i go about this? i dont really get the difference between a cat-back and a dual exhaust system for some reason it confuses me.
- If you want louder than the Super 44, go to the summit website and pick yourself up some Dynomax bullets.these will get you the loudness that you are looking for and still not sound like an old P.O.S. truck. the difference between a cat-back and true duals is that the cat-back system is from the catalytic converter back and true duals run from the exhaust manifolds back. The factory setup is enginemanifoldsy-pipecatmufflertail. The y-pipe is a 2-into-1 pipe that connects the 2 exhaust manifolds to the 1 cat.
- Q: What would be the best Exhaust System for a 2001 Ford Ranger Super Cab? For power and sound
- You read my mind, Flowmasters baby i have them on my 00 mustang gt and i love them loud and nice.
- Q: should i get an ipad or an exhaust system?
- im not sure i see how it would be a fire hazard? it seems like its not a problem these days
- Q: Who was the first person to own a exhaust system???
- All engines have some sort of exhaust system, so I'm not sure what you're asking. If your quesion is who invented the muffler, it actually predates the automobile by a century. The first mufflers were designed to control the noise of stationary engines used in mines and factories. Exhaust gases were piped to an underground vault, then piped to a chimney. The ratio of the chamber's volume to the diameter of the piping determined the effectiveness of the muffler. By the time the automobile came around, it was already known that the expansion chamber could be a metal can, rather than an underground vault. It was also understood that forcing the exhaust gas through perforated tubing would attenuate high frequency sound. So the muffler was probably part of automotive design from the beginning.
- Q: What is the difference between the engine exhaust system and the SCR post-processing system?
- Mainly used for oil engine exhaust emission standards
- Q: what is the loudest exhaust system i can put on a car its a 1984 oldsmobile cutlass supreme?
- loudmouth catback or flowmaster
- Q: I have a Dodge 2006 V6 2.7.I‘m thinking of getting a Flowmaster exhaust system and waswondering if you loose gas mileage with it.
- No, an engine is basically an air pump, its sucks air in and pumps it out. The more air you move the more efficient the engine is. You should see an increase.
- Q: Ok let me say this first i do not, i repeat DO NOT, want to have my car sound like those ricer hondas thats loud for no reason. I want my prelude to sound nice like kind of like an infiniti. I dont want my car too loud so cops can give me tickets or pull me over because of profiling. what kind of exhaust should i put in my prelude thats going to give it a nice purr but only gets loud when i floor it. I want an exhaust that gonna make v tec an eargasm. what do you recommend? if anybody suggest cherry bomb dont even answer.
- isn't a prelude a 4 cylinder car? You can not make it sound like a infiniti g35 or g37 because they have 6 cylinder. Like trying to make a 4 cylinder sound like a v8 american muscle engine, it isn't gona happen. btw you own a honda lol so you just called yourself a ricer hondas most ricers ARE 4 cylinder cars
