Q: How hot are exhaust gases that come out of a cars exhaust system? What temperature are the gases?
Combustion gases can be as hot as 1200 to 1400 degrees as they leave the exhaust port and enter the exhaust system with the engine under a heavy load. They start to cool after the convertor. I would guess under a heavy load they would be 800 or so degrees out the tail pipe. At idle the temperature is way less, probably 200 degrees at the pipe.
Q: Im in the market for an exhaust system I was wondering Which ones are good systems and how exactly does that all work like do you just buy a muffler and a tip and the rest of the system is basically just pipes put on by the shop?? what are good brands and what would be a good system for a good sound?? and does duel exhaust make more of a difference and what would I have to do to get duel exhaust would I have to change my rear bumper??
well exhaust is the first thing you should modify, in my opinion it depends on how much money you would like to spend. on a 4cy dual exhaust might not be the way to go flowmaster sounds great and you could go to a muffler shop and they would chare about 120 dollars and it would be done professionally probually cheaper if you brought them the muffler, flowmaster dynomax , you could also look on some mazda forums mazda is one of fords many sister companies just look around first
Q: I have looked everywhere and I‘ve only been able to find exhaust systems for like 2002-2007. Thanks for the help in advance.
make it breif,,,people will read it
Q: About how much would it cost to install a complete magnaflow exhaust system on my 2006 Mazda3 2.0at a mmuffler shop
I also have a 2003 Nissan 350Z and that i put in a funky air intake in my automobile, what it does is rigidity cool air into the engine so the engine does no longer get to warm which aids the motor vehicle in having extra horsepower. they actually do paintings properly as long as you purchase a sturdy intake gadget. I even have extra 12-15 horse to my automobile, it ought to no longer look like alot yet you do experience it!
Q: Hi, I‘m just a 13 yrs. old kid trying to know these things. I love cars and i just want to know more stuff. Could anyone describe these for me? I will really appreciate it. THANKS
Here's a basic run down hope it helps Supercharger- Forces more air into the engine and it works off of the crank so it will gain a lot off HP but also rob just a little bit so make the supercharger spool up A Turbo- Forces air into the motor but it spools up from the air coming out of the exhaust there for it powers it self and does not rob any HP but you get Turbo lag because it takes longer to built up the boost pressure rather than a supercharge is almost instant. Exhaust System- Is just where the air goes after its been through the motor. the Air goes through the manifold or the headers depending on the car/truck then through the cat and then to the muffler and out into the air. Air Intake- This is where everything starts becasue a motor can't run without air. Air gets sucked into the intake with would go through the throttle body or the carburetor depends on the car/truck then into the intake manifold then into the motor. Torque damper- is sorta like a motor mount it keeps the engine from moving around when its under power it can help acceleration and Reduced wheel hop and even smooth shifting. There are more things to it but i can't remember everything. Hope all this helps
Q: I have a 1983 Camaro z28 w/ 305 v8, 4 barrel, 5 spd std, carbed, roller rockers and lumpy cam, im looking to replace the stock exhaust system with something throaty, something grumbly any suggestions? borla, magnaflow, flowmaster? leave it as it is and drop in new headers? maybe magnaflow 16829 cat back performance system? what do you think
go with a tri-y headers, IF you want dual exhaust then make sure you have a X pipe to link both right and left pipes, dont go straight, I like dyno max muffs, but the flowmaster off road muffs really flow good, now a 2 into 1 does produce better torque over a dual exhaust, Last since your into trashing our enviroment dont bother with the cats and yank them, my guess is your engine is over carbed and with a rich running engine you will do nothing but ruin and block up the cats, And with a proper built engine with correct emission, I can build an engine with only maybe less than 5 HP or more HP and better track time and mileage than what you got and be smog complitent. It is a matter of blue printing, parts matching and lots of time and money. You ever dyno tune your carb to that cam you got in the engine? guessed not, do that and see how much hp/ torque you are missing, oh and last did you get the correct stall converter to match the cam and geared the rear end to match too?
Q: I live along a very busy street and I am about to go postal on the inconsiderate jerks with loud exhausts. I‘m serious! Why is nothing being done anywhere about this problem? No matter where I go there is some jerk with a 4x4 truck, little peice of crap street racer, or motorcycle that obviously has an illegal exhaust system. Even snowmobiles have decibel restrictions. I can‘t be the only person that is sick of all the unnecessary noise or am I?
Any Idea what kind of car you have? If you want it to sound like a real Hemi You need an old Mopar engine at least a 383ci, Tuned headers 4 in Collectors with 3 in straight pipes Side dumps then slow down your timing so it will lope like a Hemi and not stall out But it still wont sound like my Hemi Cuda any more than a 4 into 2 will sound like my Shovel also a 2 cyl Hemi Thats the secret to the sound and the Harley lope at slow ldle
Q: i have a 2001 Isuzu Trooper.and i went on the Magnaflow site and they dont have Isuzu as a category. I am just wondering if it is possible to put that exhaust system.or if there is any other system i can put
you ought to do them the two on the same time. in case you haven't any longer have been given time to handle all the paintings at as quickly as, then that's ultimate first of all exhaust, this way once you install your air intake, it fairly is going to stay in place. in case you do air intake first, it might push to lots air and the exhaust will possibly no longer have the skill to handle the quantity of air and back pass and blow your air intake line off, or blow exhaust pipes loose, problems with this manner, additionally once you upload extra air with out including extra gas and hearth, your motor vehicle might have some sensor themes, and not run inefficiently. HIH sturdy success!
Q: Which dual exhaust system should i get for my dodge charger? Magna Flow or Flow Master? Why?
It is all in the sound, what you like, you can goto flowmasters site and listen to them. I prefer flowmasters and have been using them for years. I know people who like the magnaflows. They are both good. I like the deep sound of the chambered muffler, 40 series.
Q: About how much does it usually cost to replace an entire exhaust system on a vehicle?
I'm going to say around $300 - $400, but I don't really know. I've had a muffler replaced, but I don't remember how much it was. It was quite awhile ago. You can just call a local automotive repair shop and get a ballpark estimate.
