Q: explain how you would assess the exhaust system in a car? what would you look for?
Its the beginning of the end of that north american heap of wasted metal, sell that and buy a real car that wont break.go japanese
Q: If these are worn can they cause my exhaust to rattle?
yes they can cause your exhaust to rattle if they are worn. They are called exhaust hangers or exhaust mounts depending on who you talk to.They aren't that expensive to replace and are normally really easy to do.
Q: Could i remove the cat converters that are shot and put this type of exhaust system in place of them?
Catback exhaust systems attach to the outport of the catalytic converter. So if you buy a catback exhaust system, that means the cat is not included.
Q: i dont want any high performance or expensive one, i just want the basic cheapest exhaust system i can find, so if anyone can send some links of where to find one would be much appreciated, and also a transmission for a 2005 4 door sedan cobalt, prices and places to buy pleaseee
Walker has a complete system for your car, it is stock replacement that will fit right in. They are the lowest price from the parts store, they handle all makes and models. I sent you the link in your email, once you enter you selection of make, model and style line it gives you the part #'s down to the last clamp (looks like 13 pcs. or so). Write them down and bargain shop to get your best price, do not forget to play one against the other to get them to beat each others price it might get you an extra 10% off to draw your business.
Q: Hot water heating system put into use when to exhaust
The beginning of the exhaust, the future should also be regularly exhaust, and then installed a automatic exhaust valve, such as the effect is poor, the first consideration should be exhaust!
Q: I would like to make my exhaust system sound better on my mustang. I wish it was a GT but it isn‘t. It‘s a 97. I live in hawaii and there are little to no laws about exhaust systems I dont know much about exhausts.I would like a cheap job done and with decent results. So I‘m thinking. -Running Straight pipes.-Catback.-Take off resonator. There might be a better idea out there. I dont know much. Anyone can help give good advice?
ahh get some thrush rapid mufflers sound sturdy yet quiet $40 somewhat then get some exhaust tubing pre bent at a save maybe $30. Now in case you have a storage deploy a kit all of it truly relies upon on what they sense like charging.
Q: Please refer to the engine, check the exhaust system, what reason.
Hello there! Oxygen sensor or ternary catalytic problems! There is oil problem
Q: I have a 5.0L V8 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. I already got a KN FIPK Cold-Air Intake that worked WONDERS. Sometime in the future I would like to put a cat-back exhaust system on it. The catch is, there are tons of companies (edelbrock, gibson, magnaflow, flowmaster, dynomax, etc.) and I don‘t know a whole lot about cat-back exhaust systems. I‘m not looking for SOUND at all, I‘m looking for performance gains like I accomplished with installing the cold-air intake. I want a cat-back exhaust that is going to help my car function easier/better and therefore improve power and fuel economy and all that other good stuff. I‘m not concerned with how it looks or sounds, I‘m concerned with the health and performance of my car. Which company is the best for that in regards for my vehicle, or how could I figure it out on my own? Some of those companies don‘t even have something for my particular vehicle, but I know that they can pretty much finesse whatever you want. THANKS
Most of the cat backs sold are in smaller pieces so the average guy can install them without a lift. Exhaust systems with large pipes can't usually be hooked around the axle, etc. without the car being lifted high off of the ground. It's usually better and cheaper to have a custom exhaust made for your car in less pieces at a good performance shop. You could also add a resonator to make a performance exhaust quieter without losing much performance. All of the brands you mentioned are among the best and will perform well. Don't go too large on the pipes, particularly with a dual exhaust. You'll lose velocity, gas scavenging and power at low RPMs. The gains from a performance exhaust or any other bolt-on are minimal and splitting hairs about the difference between different performance exhaust systems is a waste of time. It's mostly what you like the sound of. If you want real horsepower gains. boost or engine internals are the only way. The Magnaflows are pretty loud, but perform very well. I have them. Their cat back kits are among the pricier ones out there. You could have a shop put on something sturdier that comes in less pieces with the same mufflers for less money.
Q: I‘ve been riding in the dirt for a long time and I‘m looking to get my first sport bike. With the exception of the GSXR most exhaust systems are tucked under the seat. Has any of the bikes experienced problems with the seat heating up? Or if you were to take on a passenger, would she feel any heat from the pipes?
no because ther sprayed with a fiberglass sort of stuff to retain the heat and under the seat has a lining that reflects the heat.
Q: Would you please know the telephone from OKorder Delphi Exhaust System Co., Ltd.?
The production line was bought by several big guys of the original Delphi to open a new company. Called gotech? Remember not clear
