- Q: I have a 2006 suzuki aerio, I‘m looking to make it a rice burner , but Im stuck on deciding what kind of exhaust pipe and what muffler I want , I want it to be real loud , and I mean loud , like set off car alarms when I drive by. My friends say cherry bomb muffler , but there is multiple mufflers and I don‘t know which one would be best for my car. So can someone please let me know of some good tips and mufflers for my car?
- HKS, GREDDY, BORLA, MAGNAFLOW ! These are the ones you wanna get! But high quality comes with a price! $300+ for any of these. And don't get the cheap *** $150 ones! Those are for ricers! There are 4 things that you'll want to read when getting an exhaust! Loudness, dress up, adding HP, and clear sound! Now for all these qualities it'll be expensive but it's worth it. I sacrificed dress up and sound but its still loud! Soo yup
- Q: Black 1998 Honda Prelude 100% stock.
- dont listen to tht guy if u just get a cheap can ppl will laugh at u but is u get a catback it sounds very good without having to much cabin noise. on my civic i have a bbp i am very happy with it too! but also apexi makes awesome ones or dc sports or the fast and the furious ones MoTec. its hard to know the horse power gain but put it this way ur car is gonna release exhaust faster so its gonna increase power i would also get a short ram or cold air intake to match it it will make the car breath better and sound better
- Q: So i want to put the 2 into 1 exhaust system on my Triumph Thruxton and want to know if it‘s street legal in California. If not, is there some way around this?
- There is no way around it. No CARB number means off-road use only.
- Q: New to the car mods. I have a 2006 nissan altima. Should I buy just a muffler or a whole new exhaust system?
- It all depends on what you are looking for. If you just want sound then a muffler will do this in most cases. If you are looking for performance and sound then a full exhaust is the way to go. With a cat-back exhaust you will be getting a system that has been dyno proven to provide an increase, well known brands at least, bandrel bent piping, and a muffler that is designed to sound better without being to raspy. Currently most oem systems are designed to keep the car quiet and not for performance to appeal to a greater audience. Most muffler shops around here would charge about $150 - $200 for a muffler and to weld it in, and most cat-back systems are bolt up but vary largely in price. The previous post mentioned a chip. Unfortunately, a chip is typically just a resistor that will not give you any real gains. Check OKorder and you will find them for a couple dollars on up. Note that there is a difference between a chip and a programmer or a tune. A programmer will actually altering your vehicle's settings to improve performance. Like I mentioned before it depends on what your are looking for. I personally will always upgrade my exhaust and intake on any car.
- Q: I want to get an exhaust system installed but I don‘t know what to get. Can anyone help me out?
- Riding a motorcycle is different from riding a bike. In riding a bike, you are going to use the strength of your legs. So, you better enhance your leg strength now. You might, also, probably hurt your arms more than your legs.
- Q: I mean even changing the exhaust makes a difference in performance.Everyone is saying that Try slip on exhausts and such. For me it‘s left me baffled?Everything of use happens in the power stroke, right? So then why is the exhaust that much of a difference?Aside cutting out the noise what other use is there for it. Let‘s say noise isn‘t a problem.Would cutting out hollow metal tube and replacing the exhaust be of any difference to the motorcycle?Would the engine be damaged by it?I Mean the exhaust is technically a free flow right?
- No the exhaust is not a totally free flow. Some back pressure is there. Now in motorcycles way more than cars the exhaust is designed (tuned) to the air/gas input. The entire flow of air and fuel in a motorcycle engine is designed for efficient flow and performance. If you change the input (jets) then consider changing the exhaust. If you just change the exhaust it will change where torque and power come in the RPM. While some exhaust systems do help in the power band many cause a fall off of power at higher RPM levels actually causing the bike to not reach it's original top speed. Some cause a difference in power output through the mid-range causing longer times for getting up to higher speeds. While these after market exhaust systems may sound better than stock they are not designed as well as most stock exhausts are to take advantage of the actual input to the engine. Most Japanese sport bikes have a very well designed flow system, playing with it could cost you some power somewhere in the power band. Therefore if you want to change the input (jetting in the carbs) then consider changing the exhaust to match the increase in fuel and higher burn temps and same for if changing the exhaust you need to look at air and fuel input to match exhaust flow capacity, this is far more critical in a high performance motorcycle engine than in a car due to RPM levels and speed of reaction.
- Q: im looking to buy a exhaust system that increases my hp and wont sound ricerish on my 03 Eclipse GT Spyder. so maybe staying away from a catback exhaust. maybe a Borla or Injen. what kind would you recommend? and also a question i have about exhaust systems in general. would aftermarket exhausts cause the car the use more gas?? in other words lower mpg.thank you for your help
- The mentally unstable guy you find at McDonald's who puts his hand down is underwear in front of you and doesn't pack your food!
- Q: i have a pontiac g6, stock very base model, in-line 4 Eco-Tech engine, and i want it to be a little louder when i floor it, i don‘t want it to sound like a ricer, and i don‘t want it to be like truck loud (i realize it wont be that loud), id like a low rumble, not to loud, just ‘loud‘ enough so you can hear it, but no too loud that you can hear it quarter mile away, can i just simply cut off the muffler? or should i look for a specific exhaust system for it?
- Running without a muffler is illegal they say, you will only get pulled over for it if it's too loud. Also you have no idea how loud it will be, my Honda Accords big muffler fell off and now you can put your foot on the gas and yeah you can hear it a quarter mile away and it still has a small muffler. It won't sound like a ricer, I find american cars sound much different. Get a header, delete the resonator if it has one, if you want to. Cut the muffler off and buy a high flow one. My biggest suggestion if you want noise when you step on the pedal is a cold air intake. Intake noise is the gnarly rough sound you hear from some cars, my intake is actually louder than my exhaust. Plus a cold air intake will run you like $75 from O'Rielleys.
- Q: Choose me the right Exhaust system?
- that's an emission controlled gas mileage searching for terribly nearly muscle motor vehicle with a v6, what sort of noise do you elect? discover the sound music for days of thunder and play that over the stereo. Or have a cat lower back device put in.
- Q: whats the diffrence between axelback and catback exhaust systems?
- This Site Might Help You. RE: what is the strongest flexible cloth glue? read the question. It needs to be really strong.
