Q:99 F150 5.4 triton v8
Magnaflw makes very good exhaust systems. They are known for quality and good sound. Go to their website and you can hear the way they sound. As far as trucks go, the Titan on there sounds better than any other truck. 339ci big block oh yeah. The chevy 8.1 sounds like crap. Slow to rev.
Q:okay, so i have a ‘07 Silverado with the Vortec Max package, 6.0 Litre. I‘ve done a little modification since then by adding a kn intake, light bar, HID‘s, and neons. I want to add a little more horses to it by installing a cat-back exhaust system on it. But i dont want to spend a lot of money on a piece of ****, i was wondering what is a very good brand i should get that will make a good loud noise and wont have me regretting buying it.
I have a Gibson on my truck and it bolted right up. I like the way it sounds and the quality of assembly.
Q:FAW-Volkswagen Jetta exhaust system failure light is what the problem
First check the front and rear oxygen sensor, this thing is bad The initial appearance of the display in the instrument shows the engine exhaust system failure light long (or occasionally flashing), but the short car can barely driving;
Q:I have an 06 Scion tC. I am looking to start adding parts to my tC, however, it looks like I am a little confused when it comes to which of the above to buy. I understand that an entire exhaust system will remove the stock pipes, guages, and muffler that my tC already has, but I am just looking for that aggressive sound. Would I need to replace the entire system in order to achieve that sound, or can I just got the inexpensive route and buy the muffler only? Would just the muffler give me some more HP? Would it increase or decrease gas mileage? Which is better longterm? Finally, I live in MA. I would like to get this system/muffler, but I also want to continue passing my car inspections. Which muffler/exhaust system would continue me to do so? Thanks in advance!
First of all, if you want JUST more aggresive sound, changing the mufflers will be enough. It will give you a little bit of a performance boost, but only marginal compared to a whole new exhaust system. If you get a whole new one, it will give you a descent boost in HP, and sound even more aggresive. Its all about how much money you want to drop into it. I'd just start off with the muffler. Afterwards, if you arent satisfied, you can always get everything else too. Also, changing just the mufflers will not make you fail a safety inspection. If you get a whole new setup, it is legally required to have catalytic converters on it to drive it on the road. Hope this helps!
Q:I was originally look at the 2.5 exhaust system APS made, but then I came across this one.
In art class we did a project with paper mache. Basically we got a piece if cardboard, cut into the shape we wanted, and then we balled up pieces of newspaper taped them to the cardbord so that the whole thing was covered. Then after that we nade our mix which consisted of simply flour water, and we dipped strips of newspaper in the mix covered the object. You wanna do 5 layers in all so do like 2 layers a day. ( this way it has time to dry harden properly) but um yea our projects turned out pretty awesomely by using this method. Hoped i helped (:
Q:How hot are exhaust gases that come out of a cars exhaust system? What temperature are the gases?
Try Anco or Trico blades. I've had much better luck with them. As previously stated, try cleaning them regularly with isopropyl alcohol.
Q:If so which one would you reccomendI drive 44 miles a day on the thruway from to school and back
It might help a little, but it would need to be a full cat-back system, which for your car could get expensive. Generally a good intake filter like a KN is the best bang-for-your-buck. After that would be a cold air intake, as they help efficientcy a little more. Then, after either of those, if you still wanted to see more improvement I'd look into exhausts. I have a cold air, iridium spark plugs, and a cat-back exhuast on my Tuscani GTV6 wich is rated at 18-21mpg. I now get about 25mpg If I drive conservatively. *** PS you car has nothing to do with dual exhaust as it is either a inline 4 or VR6 motor. dual exhaust or true duals is a term used to describe two seperate exhaust paths coming from two seperate exhaust manifolds and is mainly just for bragging rights, as the performance increase over a standard system is little to nil. Every motor VW has ever put in any Jetta has only had one exhaust manifold so the concept doens't apply to your car anyway. Just thought I'd clear that up. PSS Snaglefritz answer below me is entirely accurate for his application, but there is a couple things that may be missleading. Primarily it is correct to say that a performance exhaust system will indeed allow you to burn more fuel, increaseing power and decreaseing economy. The difference is that it is a dirt bike, and is ridden at wide-open-throttle (racing) just about all the time. Secondly, it doesn't have an ECM to control fuel delivery. As he stated it uses a carb, which is a mechanical device that uses jets to determine fuel flow. In your Jetta however, the ECM computer can calculate that, thanks to your free flowing intake and exhaust, it can provide the same cruising speed (like your commute to school) while doing less work (delivering less fuel) as it has to work less to suck the air in and to expell it out. ) But yes, if you floor it you will go faster and use more fuel )
Q:Magnaflow exhaust system? How much can I gain?Pacesetter exhaust system? How much can I gain?Dynomax exhaust system? How much can I gain?
Just be on the route from work to home and you won't have any trouble. You can likely stop to get groceries and gas, but if you are well off a generally acceptable path, you could find yourself walking to work.
Q:i wanted to get a HKS, Injen, or Borla muffler but i wanted to know if it will make my car much louder. will it give it the same sound as if i was to get a full exhaust system. i have a 94 Honda Civic if that makes a difference
it will voice it, but the noise levels, and tone and of course feel can be manipulated.just by changing small things, you can tone it down, up, or free it up.you mean you want your car louder?last exhaust i built was very loud below 1800 rpm, very very throaty, and above got very quiet.when i say throaty, you could hear me coming around 1.5 miles away
Q:1985 ford tempo GL 2.3Land actually it‘s not the whole thingi just got the car a couple months ago and obviously didn‘t look close enoughthe muffler and tailpipe are new, but the exhaust pipe is rusted out, i found this out when it broke off at the cat converter while i was driving and started dragging. also the tube that sticks out the side of the cat converter broke off the converter and is just hanging thereI‘m pretty sure i know the answer but can that be repaired/welded? if so, price?also regardless of the 1st question, how much would it be to replace the exhaust pipe and cat converter? taking it to a shop of course
