Q: i cant find a catback exhaust system for a 97 3000gt base (sohc 3.0 v6). Does anyone know of any?
Go to a local Meineke and ask them to do it, they can not only do it cheaper but they install it for you. You'll have to keep the stock muffler unless you buy one from them. They specialize in exhaust systems. It's what I did on my Eclipse, if you're looking to change the exhaust tone (which is pretty much all it does), then the muffler mostly controls that. Well, that, the resonator and catalytic converter, but go for another muffler if you want to change that. That's exactly what I did to my Eclipse before I left for a little school called Hopkins Sweet deal, too, $300 for the whole thing.
Q: About how much would it cost to install a complete magnaflow exhaust system on my 2006 Mazda3 2.0at a mmuffler shop
a good cai leaves the sensor in. the computer chip controls fuel flow, not airflow, however it depends. some cars benefit from a cai, some can actually be hurt by them, espeically hondas.
Q: Will the catkins be troubled by the exhaust system of the car?
Wear a "mask" - install a dust filter
Q: I know this question has been asked a billion times all over the internet. But different vehicles/engines sound different/better. I have a chrysler 318 engine in my dakota. I have been leaning towards flowmaster since my friend has flowmaster on his 87 camaro iroc z and it has that loud deep tone that i like. But do any of you have different opinions?
I had a cherry bomb on mine with no cat. sounded pretty good for a v6. lol
Q: I drive a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege. I just purchased it a few weeks ago. I am looking to put a good exhaust system on it. Any suggestions?
AfterMarket - FlowMaster or Cherry Bomb Factory - Dealer or Midas
Q: I want to learn about exhaust systems. I want to buy a V6 mustang a change the exhaust to dual exhaust, which I have no idea on how to change it but want to learn on my own. Can someone teach me the names and the pipes and the connections? I have no idea. I know a V6 with upgraded exhaust wont sound as good as the GT.
Your head would explode.
Q: i have a 2013 v6 challenger (3.6 LITERS) and the stock dual exhaust system sounds pretty good but its not loud enoughi dont have 500 bucks to change the whole exhaust system but i can afford the mufflers. now is it worth it?btw do they weld it in order to install it or they just use screws cuz i leased the car n i dont think im allowed to do thatplease help!
Depends on the muffler, and your definition of loud. Loud to me is straight piped after the downpipes on my old truck with a 460 in it. Sounded good, but shook the entire house. Might not be what you're after. Also, there is more to exhaust sound than just what you hear outside. There's the level of droning (resonance) INSIDE the cab, that you can hear as you drive. Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers sound great outside, but have a droning sound inside on certain cars. Why not look on YouTube for your type of car with aftermarket mufflers. This will give you an idea of what you might wanna install. As for installing them, I don't know of any exhaust shops that bolt pipes together. They probably would if you asked them to, but normally they just weld them. Reason being, exhaust clamps fall off or loosen up over time. Welding is the right way to install them. Being a leased car, I don't think it would be a problem if you returned it with just aftermarket mufflers on it. If it worries you though, ask the exhaust shop to save your factory mufflers and just have them welded back on before you return the car.
Q: What are the consequences of failure of the engine exhaust system?
Hello, if the exhaust gas will cause the vehicle will be blocked, the load increases, fuel consumption increased, very happy to answer your questions
Q: They will be for a 2008 HD Road King. I‘m not looking to shake windows in my neighborhoodjust something louder than stock. I‘ve been looking at Cobra slip on‘s.
once you're searching for overall performance or would desire to do heavy mods down the line, turbochargers and such, a cat-back or finished exhaust may be greater beneficial. once you're only searching for a valid/seems advance, then get an axle-back setup. you will no longer see a huge overall performance distinction the two way, yet getting an entire exhaust enables lots greater airflow which facilitates with engine performance and ordinary overall performance. only make constructive that the muffler you decide on for is nice high quality or it will sound like a fart can. The law enforcement officers will purely make a huge deal if the exhaust would not bypass emission tests, or this is too loud. except you reside in CA, you probable won't have lots complication with law enforcement officers.
Q: so I was told that if you have an exhaust system your car won‘t pass smog check is it true. How do people with exhaust system pass there smog checks
All cars have an exhaust system. That's the bit of pipe and assorted boxes between the engine and the tail pipe So I assume you mean a custom exhaust, that's a bit less restrictive and louder? If you just chop out random pieces and put in straight pipes you probably wont pass emission inspection any more. But it's generally possible to modify an exhaust system somewhat, keeping the catalytic converter etc, and still have the car to pass emissions. Just have to know what you are doing.
