My caravan is a bit sluggish on the pick up, I replaced the wires/plugs and the electronic distributor(I think thats what it is..). still a bit sluggish. Should i look at the valve gasket? Or fuel filter, or fuel pump next? 03 caravan sport 3.3L
There is no electronic distributor on your caravan it uses a coil pack To the 1st poster there is no valve pan gasket you have valve cover gaskets. My quot;check engine soonquot; light came on yesterday and soon after that I took it to the nearest Midas to have the diagnostic test run on it - they stated I needed an ERG valve. I have no clue what it is and was told that it could run $160. - $300. for my 1900 Astro van. what is an ERG valve? I have noticed that my van has a low humming sound when I'm driving it.
The EGR valve is there to reduce nitrous oxide emissions and lower the temp of the combustion charge. This has the affect of reducing the octane requirement of the engine. This isn't a bad thing. When the valve hangs open, the thing will run bad at idle and could even die. The thing is, the valve could be perfectly fine and the sensor could be bad. Since some states won't give you a sticker if the light is on, you're probably stuck with replacement.

I want to switch off the water in the bathroom only due to replacing sink taps, will water still come out of the pipe if i turn the stop valve
Assuming that the stop valves are good, turning them off will stop the flow of water to the sink taps. To test them, turn on the water faucet at the sink, then turn off both stop valves. The water should stop coming out of the faucet. If it continues to drip, the stop valves are defective and should be replaced when you do the job. If this is the case you'll have to shut off the main water valve or a valve upstream of the stops to replace them. Good Luck
