- Q: I cut my hair about shoulder length last year and now am growing it outSince I cut it and got 'choppy layers' and my hair has a little bit of wave to itBut it's.I don't know how to put itVolumous wave I guess you could sayI don't know what to do with itIt looks horrible naturallyI don't know if it's just the cut or my hair is now wavy because it used to be straightHave any suggestions of how to style it? Also the layers flip up sometimesHow can I keep them straight with a product of some kindAlso do you suggest any shampoos or other products for my hair which I am growing out? sorry it's so long.
- Welcome to the wonderful world of puppies! You just have to deal with it until he adjustsGood thing he's cute, huh? Don't let him sleep in the afternoon and evening before bedThat will make him extra sleepy at bedtimeTired puppies are quiet puppies.
- Q: will it be high in fiber
- Chrome trim.better interior.engine is the same.
- Q: by feeling on me, farting, snoring, or yanking the covers off of meWe've been married 11 years and recently it's gotten really badI get really grumpy in the mornings when I wake up so many times because of himWhat can I do to sleep more peacefully and wake up refreshed?
- Here's the trick: Put a fabric softener sheet in the bottom of the pancover with water and let sit overnightthe crud will FALL off in the morning!! I promise!
- Q: is roofing paper the thicker the better for flat roof, also what glue to use for the roofing?
- The most common roofing material for a flat roof is tar and gravelThe hot tar is mopped onto the roof, roofing felt is rolled down onto the hot tar, then more hot tar is mopped down on top of the roofing feltFinally, a thin layer of pea-sized gravel is spread over the tarThe purpose of the gravel is to prevent the sun from bleeding the volatile gas out of the tar, leaving it brittle and crackingRoofing paper, to my knowledge is stapled onto a sloped roof under shingles to prevent warm moist air from the house from rising up and condensing moisture under the shingles which can cause rotting of the wood - and if it freezes can build up as ice, then rain into your attic when it thawsProper ventilation of the attic is essential to prevent formation of ice in winter and to help keep the house cool in summer - whether you have a flat roof or a sloped oneI should also mention that there is now available much superior roofing materials for flat roofsSome comes in a roll which is rolled out, stapled down, then torched on with a tiger torchOthers come in 4'x8' panels with extra insulation and a flap on 1 end and 1 sideThe flaps are then torched onto the adjoining panels These materials will last up to 40 years or more, while a well-maintained standard tar and gravel roof fails in about 20 years(Maintenance consists of regularly adding tar and gravel where it looks thin.)
- Q: I can't knit, and hate artificial fibresOddly, some people who know me fairly well got me a kit with acrylic yarn and a knitting pattern for a baby outfit blanket(I'm pregnant.)I thanked them, noting, though, that I couldn't knitI wrote something to the effect of 'It's an intimdating box!' And got a reply expressing happiness that I'd liked the present.AnywayIt's likely going in my pile of quot;stuff that will end up at the baby consignment store.quot; But what do I say about the baby being minus a knitted jacket c? The odds are excellent that it'll be asked about.
- Sounds like a close friend,Weird that they would buy something like that if they know you don't knitSo, I would keep the stuff, just in case, so if they say anything, simply say You know, I never could figure that outKnitting is just not my thing, but it was sweet of youand drop itIf they offer to make it for you, give them the pattern back and thank themChances are they won't make it, because I'm thinking an avid knitter would've made the stuff for you in the first placeAnd hopefully by the time they get it back to you, you will have a toddler and not a newborn, so you can just put it in their memento box, lol! Just a guess, that's what I would doNo sense pretending you are interested in doing something you don't want to do, but no sense in hurting someone's feelings either.
- Q: Give an example where the knowledge of the difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion of different materials would be required.
- How about in the kitchen, when warming up a metal jar top makes it easier to take off because metal has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than does glass? Or knowing not to pour hot fluids into a cold glass because the coefficient for glass is still hot enough so that the inside and the outside of the glass, being at different temperatures, move too much relative to each other and cause the glass to break(Pyrex and ceramics have lower coefficients of expansion, so they can go from the frig to oven.) Or knowing that cans of fluid explode in the freezer because water expands below 34 degrees F? The clickety clack of the older railroad tracks comes from the breaks in the tracks to allow for thermal expansion Most thermostats still work on the basis of bimetallic strips, where the difference in the coefficients of the thermal expansion cause the strips to change curvature with temperatureIt wasn't possible to design accurate chronometers until we learned how to use bimetallic strips to compensate for the changes in pendulum length, etcwith temperatureIt wasn't possible to make reliable seals between glass and metal until we found suitable metals - ones with a coefficient that wasn't too different from glass(The early attempts had the hot/cold cycles breaking the glass metal bonds.) This meant light bulbsEven in ancient times, they knew about the differences in the coefficients of thermal expansion of different materialsIn The Odyessy, one of Penelope's suitor tries to bend Odysseus' bow, finds he isn't strong enough, and starts warming the bow by the fire so the that differential expansion of the horn (compression) and tendon (tension) sides of the bow would change the curvature and make the bow easier to draw.
- Q: Who to lose weight?
- Here are some tips, I hope you may find them usefulEat a high-protein breakfastAvoid sugary drinks and fruit juiceDrink water a half hour before mealsChoose weight loss-friendly foods (see list)Eat soluble fiberDrink coffee or teaEat mostly whole, unprocessed foodsEat your food slowly.
- Q: I've only done 1 needlepoint project, which was years agoI was looking at a nice one online, but I'm not sure what this means:COLOR GUIDE ON SIDE OF CANVASNO COLOR NUMBERS OR AMOUNTS OF FIBER REQUIRED LISTED ON THIS CANVASSo does this mean that the whole image is printed on the canvas, and you match the yarn colors from that? Or is it like a counted-cross stitch project, requiring a seperate chart?I emailed the seller, but I didn't hear back! Thanks for answering.
- I do needlepoint a lot, like one every two or three weeksIf I was to read what you have written I would think that the chart was printed directly on the canvas along with what colors to useI will also let you know that these tend to be more confusing and tricky than having a separate chartSometimes the patterns are not printed at high quality, and you can't tell where a colors should go especially if you have half stitches, french knot, etcIf you didn't already buy this, I am not sure if I wouldI hoped this helped and Good Luck!
- Q: I'm not pregnant, just ttc, but I don't think I'll be able to give up my uber-hot baths (unless it's bad for the baby of course.) I know hot-tubs are sonsidered a no-no- what about a hot shower? And how hot is too hot anyway? What about heating pads/blankets??)
- tooth paste, hydrogen peroxide
- Q: how do i make my hair very straight without damaging my hair with a straitener?oh my hair is naturaly curly?
- You could try to blow dry it with a wide flat paddle brush, but a better way to go would be to straighen itIn order to prevent damage only straighten your hair when it is completely dry or only slightly damp Use a product designed to protect against heatMy favorite is Vo5 extreme style Heat DefenseYou just spray it on your hair before you straighten itAlso if your hair is very curly a skinny straightener would work better than a large flat oneTighter curls require a smaller straightenerIf your hair is more wavy than curly you should use one that is 2 inches or soAs long as you don't straighten your hair when it is wet , and you use a product to protect your hair you should not have any damageGood luck!
