- Q: I got a rug burn on my toe Monday and not quite sure how to treat it. When I looked up how to treat rug burns, every site said that they were like 1st degree burns or a sunburn and should be pretty much treated the same way. Most are fairly narrow -- perhaps up to 22 wide. Your rug is going to be quite narrow. You may want to piece two of them together side by side, and that offers further possibilities for creating a pattern. Just go wild!! You can do anything you want.

- Is the carpet rippled all the time or just when you move the furniture? That can be caused by not having the carpet stretched properly when it was installed, from having part of the tack strip that holds it in place missing (removed, damaged, etc), or from the carpet just being old and worn out. If the carpet under your area rug is rippling up you need to get the carpet re-stretched and attached properly. After that's done you can use double sided tape or even Velcro to keep an area rug where you want it.

- The above answer is correct, you use what is called a kicker to stretch the carpet to the nail strip. You can rent them at most tool rental places. You kinda have to know what you're doing though. As far as the stretching goes that is, not the renting.

While wearing rubber gloves, wipe the rug and see the hair form little rolls you can then pull off easily. 2. Dampen a sponge and wipe the rug gently and again, see the hair form little rolls you can pick off. 3. Using a used dryer sheet, wipe the rug and pull off the clumps of hair that accumulate. - Q: So last night I got rug burn on my face (fell on carpet and my face slid on it). My dad told me to let it air out, so last night i slept with nothing on it. This morning my mom calls and tells me a nurse she works with told her it needed to be really moist and hydrated, so ive had neosporin/aquaphor/aloe gel on it all day.
