- For that priced carpet, budget a minimum of 3$ a s/f for that carpet to be installed with a basic 5 1/2 or 6 pound pad. . Doing those measurements you have 336 s/f. Budget a minimum 1000$. Some times places like HD have specials to install whole house for 99$. This will bring costs down a lot. Closer to the 800$ range. Always budget a bit more for any surprises such as disposal of the old. Rip up if your not doing it and the outside chance of sub floor repair, etc. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. - It depends on your horses breed, how warm the stable is and the amount of hair you clip off. I kept an Irish hunter type with: One stable rug, quilted with neck cover. 2 fleece under rugs for cold weather, travelling and drying off and two turnout rugs, that could be used with the fleece or quilted under rug. Of your horse is fully clipped, you'll also need an exercise rug. This gives you a back up if rugs need cleaning or repair, and in really cold weather, look out for second hand blankets or duvets in charity shops. You don't really need a separate stable rug, as the outside rug will do both jobs, but changing rugs helps prevent rubbing and sores..

- A true pad won t really work since it ll bunch up,make it to thick and cause a tripping hazard.. What you should use is a special mat made just for rugs over hardwood. This type allows the rug to stay it place w/o slipping and bunch up, allows the wood to properly breathe and not stain the wood . These are bought any where wood and flooring are sold, just get the kind made for rugs over wood. Since you know your rug size you can get the closest size to your rug. - Q: Okay, so i spilled sweet and sour sauce all over my living room carpet today. I grabbed a bottle of Zout and started spraying it all over the spot, grabbed some paper towel, rubbed the carpet and dabbed the liquid up. then i sprayed febreze and vaccuumed it. YET THERE IS A REALLY NOTICABLE WHITE SPOT!!! almost like i overcleaned the carpet. the carpet around it is quite dirty, and now there is that one clean spot! what did i do wrong? will this go away? also is it going to smell bad? how do i prevent it from smelling bad?
- Pour water over the stain before it dries. Have some heavy duty absorbent towels on hand step on them with shoes. This will dilute the stain and make it come to the surface. I have 3 boys, and they are always getting stains on my carpeting. This almost always works. If this doesn't work, you will need to try Tech Stain Remover, this is sold in grocery and hardware stores and is the best stain remove that I have tried so far. You put it on the stain for 3 minutes and blot it out with a wet cloth. Removes stains 99% of the time. Good Luck! I hope this helps you.
