Q:Does anyone know anything about Indo Bijar rugs. I bought a 6x9 Indo Bijar rug today for next to nothing and am curious about its value. It has a tag on it from a profesional rug repair shop in Dallas ( the tag just says indo bijar 6x9 clean and replace fringe) It's in great shape and was hoping to resell at our yardsale but not sure about the value. I found two similar rugs on Craigs list, one was $4,000 and the other was for $600.

Q:We just got new carpeting last year in our family room, and are driveway is flat. It rained really hard three days ago, and the water came into the house and got are carpet soaked! We borrowed a carpet cleaner that sucked up about six buckets of water, but now its dry enough that it isnt sucking anything else up, but the carpet is still wet. It also smells like mildew in our house now. I sprayed Febrez, but the smell keeps coming back. Any ideas on how to get the rest of the water, and the smell out of the carpet?
Whenever you have a flooding issue, of any kind, always call a professional out. DO NOT USE A RENTAL MACHINE. The rental units do not have the suction that carpet cleaners have. Most of the cleaners have what is called a claw, that presses down on the carpet and the padding to pull the water out. The rental machine only got the surface water. Water stayed in the padding and is allowing bacteria to grow. You carpet might be salvaged if you get a professional out now. They can kill the bacteria and odor, remove the excess water and have blowers to help dry out under the carpet. Good luck
Q:ok so my dining room has rug, which im not a big fan of would prefer tile or wood flooring but anyways since its rug i wanted to get an area rug to put underneath my table thats made of some hard material that in case people sill or drop food it can come off easily like it wood if it spilled on wood or tile flooring, has anyone seen carpets like that??? or any suggestions as to what i can put under there?
I think I know what you are trying to ask and no. A rug is made of woven materials. I'm assuming you have wall to wall carpet in your dining room. If that's so have you looked under it? You may have a great floor under there! I saw one idea for a dining room that really looked great. The center of the room where the table sat had the carpet cut out and the center was done in hardwood. You need a carpet layer to finish off the inside edge but it was stunning! The carpet still framed the room all the way around but the contrasting textures of the carpet and wood gave it a real custom look. Good luck!
Q:We have white carpet and I want to know some of your experiences of what has worked the best. We have a bissel carpet cleaner at home and I would like to use that but the bissel cleaners don't work very well from what I've found.

Q:the corners of my rug keep bending and it alllways gets messed up and wrinkledin this middle. why does it do thatt=[
Jenny is right about using a thin matt under the rug after you get the corners flat and the 1 st poster said to iron it.. If you try and iron any thing with nylon fibers you ll melt them and ruin the rug. So to answer you question, 1 st turn the rug over and place on a warm spot such as a heat register. You may need to do 1 corner at a time.Heat will relax the backing and help flatten it. Small weight on the corner ( such as a book or some magazines) help help too. You may want to even back roll it and warm it. This will flatten the corners out while its getting warm. Then use the matts recommended for you rug. There are matts for rugs over hard wood, over a hard surface and rugs over carpet. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar..GL
Q:We have been working out on the carpet in our basement for 6-7 months in the same spot. Now the carpet is rock hard from us working out on it. Is the carpet / padding ruined? Is there something we can do so the carpet doesn't' t get ruined?
You more than likely have crushed the fibers on the carpet. Depending on the type of carpet you may or may not get them to fluff or come back up. The padding also depends on the quality.A decent pad will come back but I m willing to bet it won t and you ve crush that permanently. Only thing to prevent this in the future id to stop working out on the carpet and onto a hard surface. Puttin a hard mat over the carpet will still crush the fibers. There are tricks to try to get the fibers back. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q:we moved into a new house...the carpet is really very very messy..my apartment guys refused to change the carpet....looks like it has not been cleaned for months...they are number of stains on the carpet(very old ones).....i have new bisell carpet cleaner...but it is of no use.....i hate to see my carpet like this...is it possible to make it look like a new one....plzzzzz help
If it is white you could try to bleach it, or if it's colored you could try to use a bleach for colors. If all else fails you could always cover it with an area rug (a really big one or several).
Q:No one has ever seen a spherical rug. Why did Allah not use the word quot;Kurahquot; (Arabic for spherical) before the word quot;Earthquot; like all Arabic texts do today?
A rug? So you don't know Arabic and you don't know any English. Quran Verse 2:22 { Allathee jaAAala lakumu al-ardaFIRASHan wassamaa binaan} which translated {[He] who made for you the earth a bed and the sky a building} FIRASH means a bed In both English and Arabic it is used in the same sence: like when we say a flower bed, a seed bed, a planting bed ... etc. I think you are and idiot who is going to Hell. Add: Quran verse 39:5 {Khalaqa assamawati wal-ardabilhaqqi YUKAWWIRU allayla AAala annahariwaYUKAWWIRU annahara AAala allayliwasakhkhara ashshamsa walqamara kullun yajreeli-ajalin musamman ala huwa alAAazeezu alghaffar} Kurah (a round spherical object) and Kawwira ( to make spherical) are both derived from KAWARA which means to make round or spherical. .
Q:what should be done if the carpet has water in?
If there is no string color, you could just wash it, if the soaking time is too long, do not put it under blazing sun, lay flat and dry it. if the soaking time is short, you should lay flat and wash with a brush. what is the material of your carpet? it may be cross-color like downstairs said and it is easily deformed!
Q:Ok the horse will be living in the UK in the south were it can get cold in the middle of winter and very hot in the summer. I have written a list of rugs, Could anybody tell me if it will be suitable for a horse which will be turned out. Heavy Weight Stable Rug (300g)Middle Weight Stable Rug (110g)FleeceHeavy Turnout Rug (350g)Middle Weight Turnout Rug (200g)Rambo Hooded Fly SheetI may have over estimated a little or perhaps its not enough? I would prefer to get rugs i can layer up so i dont have to buy quite as many to begin with. Also do i need an exercise sheet or is this an extra? Thanks for you help! :D
That sounds like a good list. I think it's important to figure out the type of horse you will be getting, whether its clipped (and how much) and how long it will be out for. Also if the stables are well-insulated (and some posh stables have heating!) you might not need the heavyweight stable rug. Also if you find the horse is stabled in American design stabling/barn, the horse might not need a heavyweight rug due to the shared bodyheat. But it all depends on the horse and it's environment. The middleweight stable rug is a good choice. Personally I dont bother with lightweights unless they have a show the next day! The fleece can be used as a cooler or an underlayer to other rugs when it's exceptionally cold. You may not require fly sheet unless the horse suffers from sweetitch or other allergy-caused skin complaints. Its a good idea to buy and heavyweight and middleweight turnout rugs with the UK weather! You can layer rugs which may be more cost effective. Also then as the day heats up you can take off one layer so as the horse is the right temperature. An exercise sheet would be a luxury! You'll know when you need it :) you can get wrap around ones for th rider too which look quite snuggly.
