- Your looking for a metal strip called a Z bar. The carpet tucks into it and then you hammer it down. Will give you a good edge without the chance of frayed carpet edges.

- The only thing you can do is cut in a new piece. My brother and I do flooring on the weekends. We have done this repair many times. You have to have the right equipment to do it right. (hot iron and seam tape) If the carpet is fairly old, you can also cut out the burn if it is small and re-seam at the cut. This is also done with a hot iron and seam tape.

- Q: I am having such a hard time finding a rug for my small studio apartment! I have white walls, an off-white/very light creme colored modern leather couch, a glass coffee table (smart coffee table-cb2) and a dark wood tv console. I just purchased a small dining table which is basically next to my tv console and it is also dark wood. I wanted to keep the entire room light but after an impulsive buy, I realize that the dining table definitely darked the room by a lot. Would using a white area rug clash with the off-white couch? - You need some rugs in colors that tie the areas together but bring interest into the room. Plain whites or creams will only bland out the room areas. Choose a colorful pattern under the dining area and another in similar but different patterns for the living area. Wood colors are considered neutrals so they are not an issue. Your choices of too many whites and lights are. Colorful patterned rugs will add focus and interest to your areas and make your furniture choices stand out.. Think color, not bland.
- Q: He only poops when the door is open, other than that he uses his littler box. ( little box is cleaned 2 x a day.) He does this even when we wash and bleach the rug. WHY!
- It is probably behavioral. Did you used to have the litter box in the bathroom? Have you made any big changes lately? Cats have the emotional level and brain capacity of a 2 year old, they hate change and most do not adapt very well. You can put it just under the front so that there isn't a gap that will get dirty right in front of the curved portion of the couch. - the best thing to do if you are going to have the baby on the floor is not to use any chemicals at all. juts do this take hot water and mix in about a tablespoon of liquid dish detergant then take a stiff scrub brush and dip it in the water. Shake the bursh so most of the water comes out, then brush it over the carpet a few times and wipe with a soft cloth. when the carpet dries run the vacuum over it. It will get the dirt and oil out of your carpet and can also remove the stains from regular wear on your carpet. It may be allitle time consuming but it works well and is more healty for your child since there are no harmfull chemicals in the soap.
