Q: ive melted the carpet by accident and my mums gonna kill me! is there anything i can do!?: Depends how deep you burnt it. If not too deep, try clipping the melted portion off with a pair of nail clippers or small scissors.

Q: What are the best products or methods I can use to remove the stains my my white carpet in my new apartment? Some of the stains are from pets and some of the other stains are just drinks and other liquids that stained.: Hire a professional carpet cleaner. If you have never cleaned carpet before, you don't want your first experiment on a white carpet. Look locally for an established carpet cleaner. If you want to attempt to spot clean the areas be sure to vacuum well first. You can then put a small amount of dish soap in a bucket of water and use a rag to work the stains out. Better to gently work in a circular motion toward the center of the stain and avoid scrubbing too hard or you will fray the carpet fiber. If you use a harsh chemical it can discolor or stain the carpet. Use a clean towel to blot up the water by pressing it on the spot you clean. Try not to over wet the area as excess water can soak into the pad. Be aware that if there is a lot of soil in the carpet, even though you may successfully remove the stains, the clean areas may stand out as spots against the soiled carpet.

Q: we moved into a new house...the carpet is really very very messy..my apartment guys refused to change the carpet....looks like it has not been cleaned for months...they are number of stains on the carpet(very old ones).....i have new bisell carpet cleaner...but it is of no use.....i hate to see my carpet like this...is it possible to make it look like a new one....plzzzzz help: If it is white you could try to bleach it, or if it's colored you could try to use a bleach for colors. If all else fails you could always cover it with an area rug (a really big one or several).

I have pets and I believe carpet tiles will work better as I can replace a tile if it becomes damaged.: They are pretty equal in the sound department. Your HOA is the best bet though, they may not define carpet as carpet tiles. Better to clarify with them first rather than spend money twice.

Q: Hi everyone, how do i take a plain white area rug and make a black floral design on it on parts of the rug? like on two corners and maybe a swirl or two in middle ? i know ive seen people use templates and literarly spray or paint over template to make design. then use a sealer or something i dont know :( help thank you: I did a design on an outdoor sisal type rug and it came out really nice. I used spray paint and sealed it with polyurethane. You can get the templates at a craft store or make one yourself. There might be a problem if there is a high pile on the carpet. The design might not have clean edges. You could try one section of it on the back of the rug. Or get a carpet remanent with a pile like you have on your white carpet to try. If the design does not have clear edges you might be able to touch it up with a tiny paintbrush. I don't think a dye (like Rit Dye) would work. It would run and make a mess. I think you would have to stick to a surface treatment only-like spray paint.
