Q: what are some common problems that are possible in a car exhaust system? how can they be repaired? how can the exhaust system be maintained? (to prevent problems) (i.e. checking stuff, putting some kind of filter, or fluid etc.)
Not much. There is no maintainance on the exhaust system except maybe for the rubber hangers that hold up the exhaust. Sometimes in older vehicles, oil leaks from the engine might pass through to the exhaust (unusual oil smell) and clog/damage the oxygen sensor that is connected to the exhaust. Depending on the actual exhaust material, this might damage the muffler itself. There is no actual schedule maintainance for the exhaust system.
Q: Are all muffler delete cat-back systems illegal in the state of Texas? Will I pass all vehicle tests with a muffler delete system? Will a muffler delete system add any horsepower?Which exhaust system should I get on my mustang gt 2007?Where should I go to buy it and get it installed and how much will it cost?
If they make the car break noise regulations then they are illegal. I have no idea what the inspectors will say. These systems do not really add any power to a stock car. You need other modifications and reprogramming to see any benefit, and it's going to be small and at the top end where it's really not going to matter.
Q: how it‘s made?and the process like bending, welding and . for making an exhaust system
An exhaust system is usually tubing used to guide reaction exhaust gases away from a controlled combustion inside an engine or stove. The entire system conveys burnt gases from the engine and includes one or more exhaust pipes. The exhaust gas may flow through one or more of, cylinder head and exhaust manifold, a turbocharger to increase engine power, a catalytic converter to reduce air pollution, and a muffler (North America) / silencer (Europe), to reduce noise. An exhaust pipe must be carefully designed to carry toxic and/or noxious gases away from the users of the machine. Indoor generators and furnaces can quickly fill an enclosed space with carbon monoxide or other poisonous exhaust gases if they are not properly vented to the outdoors. Also, the gases from most types of machine are very hot; the pipe must be heat-resistant, and it must not pass through or near anything which can burn or can be damaged by heat. A chimney serves as an exhaust pipe in a stationary structure. For the internal combustion engine it is important to have the Exhaust System Tuned (refer to tuned pipe) for optimal efficiency
Q: I have a 2000 Eclipse GT with the V6 3.0L automatic with the kick over.I wanted to put some new headers and a new exhaust system on my car. I was wondering what would be the best parts for me, and if there are any other bolt ons to add some horsepower. THANKS for the infoAlso if I can get your email to ask you bout someother stuff id like to do
let the car roll a little without any gas if it shakes then you probably have to get the tires balanced(which should have een done when the tires were put on)and if it doesnt then try changing the brake pads
Q: I have a mach 1 mustang and i just want a good rumble to it.
Go to Youtube and do a search for MUSTANG EXHAUST and listen until you hear a system you like. Go from there. Everyone else will just tell you to buy what THEY like. There is no best and Supertraps suck.
Q: Who created the exhaust system for the auto mobile?
Uh.you can't have a working engine without having some sort of exhaust system.so you're question should actually be Who invented the internal combustion engine?
Q: I have a Dodge 2006 V6 2.7.I‘m thinking of getting a Flowmaster exhaust system and waswondering if you loose gas mileage with it.
it shouldn't hurt it,all your doing is letting it breath better and letting the exhaust out faster,it will sound a lot better ,i doubt that it will give you that much of a gain on anything but it wont hurt it,it ill be louder though, good luck.
Q: I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Hemi with factory exhaust system. Looked at some aftermarket kits and decided to maybe have the local exhaust shop run duals from the cats back out to the rear with either 2 magnaflow or flowmasters. Question is, will this be sufficient to at least not loose any torque or hp? Not neccesarily looking for big hp gains but dont want to loose any low end torque. And really hoping for a gas mileage improvement and a bit deeper sound. Just don‘t wanna loose any useful back pressure. Also wondering if getting rid of the resonator will make the cabin drone sound that I can‘t stand. Thanks.
I work for a Dodge dealership (and only drive Dodge) and my dad has ran an exhaust shop over 20 years. I'd do cat-back 40 series Flow-masters. It's a dodge so it will literally roar if you take the cats off. If you dump it go over the back axle. You will lose mileage regardless. 2-5 mpg
Q: Anyone know of companies that make any type (full, cat-back, etc.) of exhaust system for a Chevy 4.1L I6?
disregard any answer by previous answerer. Try Clifford Automotive, they make about any header/exhaust components for the 230 or 250 CID engines. Great engines by the way.
Q: I have a 2002 Mistang GT and there seems to be a hole in my muffler. Wondering if its easier to replace the muffler or just get a new catback exhaust system?
Auto parts stores sell this silica sealant stuff that you can patch an exhaust hole with . I had a noisy hole in my catalytic converter and fixed it with the sealant several months ago and it's still quiet.
