Q: im looking for a good exhaust system for my 96‘ honda civic sedan lx. i dont want to pay over $400 though.
The light came on because the computer is getting an abnormal reading from a sensor. Have the codes read and re-post with codes for advice. The light turns off if you fix the problem and reset the computer. Otherwise, if you just fix the problem, depending on the sensor, the light may take a day or a few to turn off by itself, if it doesn't right away. Just unhooking the battery or resetting the computer will not make the light stay off without fixing the problem.
Q: New to the car mods. I have a 2006 nissan altima. Should I buy just a muffler or a whole new exhaust system?
Hmmm. Depends on what you want out of the car and your budget. Putting an entire exhaust system can be pricey. If it's the sound you are going for I would just get a good muffler. Having a full exhaust system put in can give you a better sound, not much performanceactually if not any. Personally the first mod I would ALWAYS do is chipping, then engine work, then worry about the exhaust (unless engine work requires exhaust upgrade). You don't want to have a sweet sounding car and when you gun it that's all you getis sweet sound. If you still want an exhaust system, I love Borla exhaust.
Q: I am resturant owner and i need my hoods cleaned. I am seeking input for estimates on the cleaning ? Could anyone give any good referals on a decent hood cleaning crew? In michigan !!!!
Remove and clean out the IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. Install a set of Denso Iridium plugs.
Q: Just a standard exhaust sytem (steel pipes, catalytic converter, muffler, etc). About how long does it usually last before needing replacing. My has some surface rust on the entire pipe, and is flaking some around the connections to the muffler and other areas.I live in northeast tn by the way, and it is a standard sedan car.
Depends on how much you drive it. If you drive only a few miles a day, it isn't exposed to as much slush and salt as when you commute 40 miles a day. Also if you park on a hill with the tail down, it drains out excess moisture that creates rust from the inside. So, it just all depends.
Q: On my 2005 Ram Hemi with single exhaust, I like the mellow quiet tone of the stock muffler. I figure the single exhaust system is restrictive, so I was thinking about dual exhaust. I don‘t wanna buy a high dollar system, and I wanna keep it quiter than aftermarket. Do you think a local muffler shop can free up some HP with their home-made dual system and some stock mufflers?
Not sure if dual exhaust will help with hp if u leave stock mufflers because they are still gonna restrict the air flow good luck!
Q: i already have the hemi exhaust system i just need it to be installed properly on my sxt magnum
A small shop maybe $150 if it's a cat back (no fabrication/hanger move). A larger place around $250. Yeah.it's something you should do yourself if it's direct fit. I don't know off hand.I'm not a chrysler guy.
Q: We have two 40 series flowmasters and i wanna out em on my truck, how much will it cost to run a new pipe for them? I think its 2 1/2 inch or something?
Ring there door till they answer when the alarm is going off and tell them to shut it off.
Q: What is a good exhaust system for a Dodge Stratus Rt Coupe 2002?
stainless steel. it will last longer then galvanize.
Q: Is it headers to mid pipe to catback with the exhaust tips coming out from the rear Or is it mid pipe to headers to catback
Mid means middle so it's not at either end. Not all cars have headers. Google exhaust system diagram This is one that uses the word catback (which is new to me)
Q: I had the 850 checked by 2 people.1 mech. says that my flex pipe from the manifold to the exhaust pipe is defective thats why I‘m hearing the loud noise. stated I need to get it replaced.2nd mech says that I need to replace my manifold pipe that there is a hole in it. (What are the chances of getting a hole the manifold?) one solution is little less then $200 the other is quoating $450.00+. I really have to step on the pedal hard sometimes on hills to move forward. I know something is breached because i‘m loosing presure excelerating. What do you think?
im not a mechanic or anything but from my expierence it sound like you have an exhaust leak.
