FAQ

HOW do you take a toliet up, and fix the floor before it falls in .
Taking the toilet up is the easy part. There should be two bolts on the sides of the base that have to come loose. A lot of the time these are rusted or corroded so badly that you have to use a hacksaw to cut them off. You'll need to cut the rotten part of the floor out to the center of the floor joists that are past where the rot stops. In the space between the joists it's a good idea to install a piece of lumber the same size as the joists between them so that the end of the new piece of plywood is sitting on something. Position the new piece so that it will be half under the old plywood so that it will support both the old and new pieces. Basically you want a square frame to hold up the new piece of floor you'll be putting down. The biggest problem is usually that since the toilet sits so close to the wall that sometimes the water damage extends underneath the wall. If that's the case, then I'd suggest calling in someone with experience. If not, then cut a piece of 3/4 inch plywood to fit the hole that you cut out. If you're putting linoleum of something soft down for the floor, then use wood putty to fill the gap between the old and the new sub-floor otherwise you'll be able to see where the gap is because the flooring will eventually sink into the gap. If you're doing tile, you shouldn't have to worry about it.
I removed my carpet and put in laminate floor. Do you have to put a sealer for laminate floors. What products can i use to clean laminate floors??
Vinegar water is the best. Cheap, unobtrusive and easy to use.

wooden floor
Home decoration when the wood floor below to put the camphor powder or camphor wood decay? Several friends have said to put more insurance on the side of the river side of the boiling torch of the chop chisel. Where does the camphor powder buy? How much is the price? How much use? More
In general, put sure, I suggest you do not need to deal with the wood floor, wood floor below the need to deal with the end, many people playing keel or plywood, you need to deal with. The proposal is to find a regular anti-termite project to do more professional, more at ease, the price is relatively cheap, if it is not a primer, then simply put a little camphor powder on the line, but the general manufacturers have to send!
The previous owner of my house painted the cement slab garage floor. Now the paint is peeling off and looks bad. I would like to seal the floor with an epoxy-based sealant. Can I seal over top of the paint, or do I need to have the paint sandblasted off first?
No you can't seal over paint. If you want to apply an epoxy-based sealant then all the paint will have to be removed from the floor. There are good chemical paint strippers that you can use to remove the old paint. Contrary to what the post said, you will need to acid etch or grind the cement of your floor after you remove the paint. The reason of this is that epoxy based floor sealers need the pores of the concrete opened up and exposed in order for the epoxy to adhere properly. If you don't do this then it just peels up off the floor like your paint did. This does not hurt the finish of the concrete, it actually will make the epoxy last much longer.
I saw a lot of things on the wooden floor of the wall, especially such things, I really do not know how to build, I hope you advise more
First nail the wood keel on the wall, and then use the floor nail a nail on the line! Nail the nails in the joints of each board, nail a finished, and then on a, so just to cover the nail cap!
I asked this question earlier, but only got one reply..so I deleted it and decided to ask again. Ok, my husband and I bought a nightclub a year ago. This place belonged to my uncle and he had a painted concrete floor as a dance floor and of course we still do. It use to be a car repair place and a cattle butcher place in the past, so the concrete is old, and has oil on it so the paint comes up not very long after you paint it. So..what are my options? Something relatively cheap to make the dance floor more inviting? I would love to know what to use to make it easier on the legs and easier to clean. Thank you!
our community center needed a new floor, so they bought the materials(wood flooring) and called the carpenters union and got the apprentices to come in and install it for the experience...
