Q: im looking for a good exhaust system for my 96‘ honda civic sedan lx. i dont want to pay over $400 though.
Price depends on what pieces you want to replace. Borla and Flowmaster are good.
Q: My gas dryer in my apt takes too long to dry and I wonder if an electric one would work better. Anything to avoid having to go through the wall exhaust vent I have now and apparently can‘t be unclogged fully
The exhaust vent shouldn't be clogged with anything whether you have an electric or a gas dryer. Both have to be vented outside, but especially a gas dryer MUST be vented through the wall in order that Carbon Monoxide doesn't leak into your home. You should have a lint trap on the dryer which needs to be cleaned out after EVERY use. If there's llint clogging the vent hose, the hose needs to be detached from either the wall or the dryer, and clean it out properly. Once you get that done, if your dryer still doesn't work better, then you may have to get a new dryer. BTW, all lint traps should be rinsed with water after cleaning off the lint. There is a residue left on the mesh that can ignite if it isn't cleaned properly. (gas or electric dryers).
Q: I have a 2001 v6 ex honda accord. i want to make the exhaust a little louder but dont have the money to upgrade the exhaust system. any products i should buy? and where? also will putting in a cold air intake make it anylouder?
well first off, i think Hondas sound like a swarm of west Nile mosquitoes heading my way, not sure why anyone likes that sound, but the best ways to make it louder are to buy performance exhaust parts. The ones to look for are tubular headers, high flow catalytic converters, and high performance mufflers. flowmaster is one of the loudest brands out there. there is a way to make it even louder, but since you drive a Honda you are probably like most other Honda people and don't wanna do any actual work to your engine, just appearance enhancements. you could buy a camshaft to give your valves higher lift. although this often requires new valve springs as well. Im not sure if headers and cams are available for such small and underpowered engines, usually people use them on V8's. but it might be worth checkin out, just head over to auto zone, or advanced auto parts, they can tell you.
Q: does anyone know how the TSUDO N1 JDM CAT-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM is for the 08 scion tc?
i don't really understand what you mean good and bad. its an exhaust system, and it will help increase hp and whp. it's pretty easy to install, and it's a direct bolt on. i personally don't like the sound because it sounds a bit ricey to me, but thats just my own personal opinion. hks doesn't have a catback for the tc, but they do have an axleback available. for some reason, the price for the hks exhausts keeps on increasing. last year it was a couple hundred cheaper. check out the link i sent you, it has a pretty big comprehensive list of what online stores sell tc parts.
Q: Pros? Cons? What do they do?
cat back just refers to the system from the cat to the back of the car, the same for the turbo back
Q: Exhaust systems, catalytic converters ,mufflers, muffler tips?
I've been having the same problems but I've been doing some reading. Muffler tips are mostly cosemetic, they are just for looks. They make your exhaust look nicer on the end, muffler is like a fart can they cost as much as 200 but as cheap as 20 bucks. They are mostly for sound and weld or attach onto your exhaust. An exhaust system is from what understand is from your engine to the back of the car, it gives a nice sound and is ussually 500-up in price they are an hp increase and let your engine breath better
Q: I know certain states have exhaust restrictions and catalytic converter regulations. Would a performance exhaust system made by Ford pass inspection in Massachusetts?
If the exhaust system provides for all of the emissions equipment or substitutes to be used, then you should be able to pass the inspection in Massachusetts. This means converters and sensors must be able to work in such a way that the engine emissions are with in limits. So make sure that what ever parts you buy are not labeled for off road use only. Also I checked the Ford Performance site and did not see any exhaust systems for the F250 listed for street use, but Summit has some that should pass emissions testing.
Q: is there any simple way to fix it before it blows up the engine?
Umm, start the car the water will blow out. Ive never heard of water in an exhaust blowing an engine. Exhaust pipes and exhaust gases are very hot, the water will turn into steam and evaporate
Q: Just got this truck as a gift, looked underneath and the entire exhaust system is missing. How much do you think it‘ll be to repair?
The glass packs is probably no longer sufficient for decrease back rigidity, yet with out a cat your exhaust could have a noisy crackle sound. I did this with my dakota and the only looks I have been given exchange into from state squaddies pulling me over for a noisy exhaust. i might leave the cat if it artwork high-quality and do a twin exhaust with the flowmaster muffler. kind new magnaflow mufflers sell from 40 to 80, reckoning on the sequence. Or leave the cat on and positioned a stright pipe as against the muffler sounds incredibly badass.
Q: I know there is no way to know anything for certain, but I‘m thinking a ford mechanic will likely know at least if there seems to be any pattern or typical mileage point, when they need exhaust system work. Also I know it all depends on many factors, but I‘m hoping outside of that something has been noticed.
exhaust systems completely rotting out is not that common anymore. I have seen some Taurus's with clamps rotting off, flex pipes breaking, but not too many that need complete exhaust systems. 55K is not a lot of miles. I think it will be fine
