Q: how much would new exhaust system MINUS the muffler cost?i have a 1995 Geo prizm, i purchased the car for $800 with about 170000 miles. It has no Catalytic converter and the pipes connected to them are cut. How much would it be to replace both pipes and the converter.I found a converter on amazon for about 70 dollars and it says it would fit my car, what should i do?: Since your car is older and pre OBD-ll you could get a universal catalytic converter, pipes, and muffler for less than $100 and do it yourself with U-bolts. Just make sure the catalytic converter, pipes and muffler are all the same diameter as the original piping. Its pretty easy if you have any kind of mechanical knowledge, just measuring, cutting and bolting. You may need to fit it with new universal exhaust hangers for stability.

Q: What exactly is a cat-back exhaust system?: Hey Bro, Dont let the smart *** remarks bother you. Yes, most tires do have it listed on the tire but thats not the question. It all depends on what kind of riding you do. Dont forget that when your tires heat up, so does the air pressure so make sure not to over fill the tires. If you are going to ride hard down back roads and twisties I recommend 32 in the front and 42 in the rear, because the more air in the tires, the more likely the bike will slide if you are to hot into a corner. bottom line its all about the rider, that number on the sidewall is just a recomendation. Q: Does installing a aftermarket exhaust system void the warranty on my car?: The only way that it can void the factory warranty if it causes another part of the car to fail. Most situations, it would do nothing to the factory warranty. So you should be ok to put a cat-back system on the car, but I wouldn't take the converter off under any circumstances (Ford turbo diesels are an exception)

I'm pretty sure they sell some pretty decent price 4.3 headers on summit, or jegs. Then I would upgrade the piping to mandrel bent steel. If you wanted you could go slightly bigger pipe diameter for some more deepness. I would install a high flow cat. Not a whole lot of sound difference between no cat, and a high flow cat. Then I would put some flowmaster super 40's. That should give you a sound similar to a v8 exhaust.

Q: I want to buy a full fmf exhaust system for my yamaha blaster but im not sure is it worth the money? i was thinking of just buying a fmf powercore 2 exhaust and not bothering with the muffler but then my quad would not be a powerfull without it. Adds about 30 - 50 HP around 17- 20% increase, and increases fuel efficiancy.
