- sound like shop is trying to sell you more stuff than you needs. if shop is telling you the true story .tell them to put your car on the lift and show you where else exhaust is leaking.

- an intake is very easy. generally just bolts on. if you want to go cheap get one from autozone but if you want a good one go for a big name like kn. that all is easy. exhaust is a lot harder. it is hard in that it still has to pass smog, and if you do not seal the pipes all the way you will lose power. to be honest if you are looking for it being cheap that's not going to happen. the only way to save money fixing up a car it to do your own work. so unless you have a pipe bender and a welder and a pipe cutter i would go to a muffler shop. plus at the shop they may tell you the best combo for your intake and exhaust performance on your vehicle.

- Well i'm not a female but ride safe, when you sit down a bike does it feel right to you ,can sit with your feet touching ground as flat as possible? learn wher theres no traffic first say a parking lot of school (junior colleges good place0 ride with some one you trust! wear helmet even if law say you don't have to! wear long jeans, and good shoes (no flip-flops) When approaching an intersection slow down gradually till you can put down one foot then apply brakes! when making a right turn keep weight centered to bike! when making left lean a little foward into turn, when leaving drive-way always check both ways and try to keep one foot down so you wont drop bike (Ive done that) Lastly enjoy and have fun!

- most exhaust systems for a stock G6 are just going to end up sounding hollow and weak, especially since it's probably an automatic. my best advice would be to go to KN's website and get a short ram intake, it'll give your engine a deeper and louder sound. they usually cost around $200+, but that's better than spending over $500 for an exhaust system.

- All you need to do is look for an exhaust system listed to fit your truck and a SBC engine. All of the 1955-92 in cars and up to 2002 in trucks V8 small block engines has same exhaust port pattern, spread, etc So if system will fit one small block it will fit all of them 265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, 400

- Go to a muffler shop and have them install 2.5 inch diameter stainless steel piping from the cat back, and delete the factory muffler and resonator, and replace them with magnaflow mufflers. Go on YouTube to see what it sounds like, type in Jetta VR6 Exhaust Total cost should be under $300. Amazon is having a 30% sale on all Magnaflow products, buy themm on there and save even more money.
