- Q: I am looking for a complete exhaust system for a 1998 escort lx sedan! Anyone? I have found headers but having issues finding the rest *especially a cold air intake* Now I‘ve seen escorts just like mine with all this done.so don‘t tell me it impossible! lol
- well kandn should have a cold air intake and you would think flowmaster or charryboom would have the exhaust but it mit me a custom job to im sure if you got the money someones got the time.
- Q: Can you put the factory duel exhaust on a 2004 impala that originaly came with single without any problems? thx, comparing LS series duel exhaust to regular plain impala single to see if you can interchange them.
- the rear bumper cover is also different, unless you take it to a muffler place you would have to replace the whole pipe and that would be expensive
- Q: I‘m looking for an exhaust system for my 2005 Audi a4 b7 2.0 non-turbo. there are so many different systems to fit all the type of engines, but just not for the non turbo. Is this because the other systems still fit or because its a rarer model than others. maybe there just isnt a exhaust out there for it? Just a little confused. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
- Usually Audi performance parts manufacturers do not produce exhaust products for non-turbo models because of a few reasons. One, most Audi non-turbo engines are not very tunable, meaning they do not upgrade easily. Secondly, the performance gains on non-turbo vs turbo models (as far as exhaust goes) is alot different. HP/torque gains in non-turbo models tend to be alot less significant than turbo models, pretty much making any products that the manufacturers would sell for non-turbos a waste of costs to produce. That is not to say that there are no companies that make an exhaust system for your model, but alot of the times they release these systems after a couple of years (at least that is what I have noticed) So to sum your question up.it is hard to find non-turbo performance parts (mainly exhaust) because there is a smaller demand for these parts, the performance gains are minimal next to turbo models, and they are a little harder to tune
- Q: i have a 2002 dodge cummins 5.9. im currently stationed (Air Force) in california but im changing bases here soon. I want to upgrade my exhaust system to a 4 from the turbo back. What are the rules and regulations reguarding what i can and cant do to my exhaust system.
- It will only get loud when you floor the gas and go WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. I have a Civic with Short intake and header pipes. When I'm just driving, the car sounds completely stock. But when I floor it, THIS LITTLE MOUSE ROARS !! Good Luck
- Q: Hii have got a astra sport 07 plate i am looking at an exhaust system dual one so there is one either side at back. can any body recommend a good one. i am mainly looking for performance but a bit of noise don‘t want it to over the top tho?thanks
- magnatek systems are great and not over the top with noise either
- Q: . and what are it‘s benefits and disadvantages as opposed to a standard exhaust system?
- Full Exhaust includes the exhaust manifold, usually replacing it with headers, and the catalytic converter which is usually replaced with a high flow unit or removed completely and includes a cat-back system. Cat Back systems are muffler and piping only. The muffler is replaced by a high flow unit and the piping is usually bigger to flow more air. A standard system is simply the factory installed or OEM system. The more air you flow through a motor, the more power you can make. You can't take in more air than you can blow out, so the bigger and less restrictive your exhaust, the better. The muffler and cat are where most of the restrictions are. These are each worth about 4-5 horsepower when replaced. A header and bigger pipes are just gravy and might get you another 2-3 hp.on a naturally aspirated engine. Exhaust has a huge impact on turbocharged engines, where you want to go as big as possible.
- Q: Is there a exhaust systems for a 98 eclipse GS spyder 2.4L?
- Look your tires are old worn out change them all, and do not forget the spare. Old and cracked tires have the habit of blow out as your travelling along could cost you your life or the life of others. It will cost you a few $ but you will have peace of mind and you will be safe.
- Q: I purchased my husband a Flowmaster Force II Exhaust thinking it was the right fit for his truck He has an 07 Ford F150. I failed to notice that with the flowmaster i currently bought it was for 09 and up. My question to all you auto men/women Is there a way to modify this exhaust system without having to ship it back and Re order a different type? Is it an easy fix to fix onto the truck? HELPPPPP
- the kit you bought has all the pipes prebent to fit the specific vehicle, if you take the truck to an exhaust shop they can bend new pipes to make the kit fit however that will cost more than sending the kit back and getting the correct one. so no there is no easy way to make it work
- Q: really, what are the main differences and why is one better than the other? Which will gain more power, and have a better exhaust note? I have a 2000 toyota Celica gt if it helps
- manufacturers forever since cars have been invented try to come up with a name or catch phrase that sounds like something new, when its the same ol same ol. CAT BACK means only from the catalytic coverter back. Axle back is from the axle back, which may be a resonator and a tailpipe. The problem is unless you have a high powered race engine, none of ths crap does you any good. If you buy a high performance exhaust and stick it on a stock engine what have you got? nothing but an empty wallet and maybe a sticker for the window. For the most part there is no reason to slap expensive racing parts on a stock engine. High performance exhausts or power chips or cold air filters are all hype. If any of the magnetic fuel savers or 50 horsepower chips or intakes worked cars would be 400 horse power and getting 40 miles to the gallon around town. Thats not how it works. IN fact cols air intakes have been proven to be crap, and an air filter stuck on a plastic sewer pipe does not give 50 horsepower. Cold air intake intake is already on cars bought from the dealer. It goes from the intake over to the inner fender. The only thing adding a plastic tube with an air fliter does is make the intake LOUDER inside the car. big deal and some intakes can suck up rain water, which will destry your engine in a big fat hurry if you suck water in the engine. Fake power chips are another example of garbage engineering. Unless an engine is built to be adjusted there is little a pwer chip can offer and even worse, sometimes they do change the timiing in an attempt to boost power. This added benifit does one thing I know of, causes premature valve wear.
- Q: if not which ones fit a 2004 audi tt 3.2 quattro s line? and sounds nice.
- please don't get a universal system on a 3.2 litre audi lol!!
