Q:1990 olds calais 4 cyl. I think. I have no exhaust system, muffler ,pipes, nothing. Car sounds like it wants to fall over and die. It still drives but the engine sounds really bad and the check engine light came on once. it is very rusted on the bottom like when it rains or snows there is puddles in my floor boards. how can i fix that? and how much would it be for a whole exhaust system for this car? Also, is it safe to drive it 10miles and then 10 miles back. I have to go to work tonite and I can‘t put it in the shop till the morning? please help i am really nervous to drive this car thanks.: You cant placed a three equipment on that automobile and whether you do it rather is pointless cat returned. The exhaust is already retstricted with the diameter of the manifold, front pipe, and cat. you are able to pass to a keep and function them build an exhaust for you, we do it all the time. funds rather could selection on what precisely you want relating to piping and muffler. i could say even an honest muffler and custom exhaust below 450 money.

Q:I have a ‘91 2.3L Mustang LX and I want to get a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler and swap it out with my stock muffler. My question is, if I just swap out the mufflers and keep the rest of my exhaust system, will there be any big performance issues? Btw, I already checked to make sure that this muffler fits my car and it does.Thanks: Look man if u r looking for nice sound coming out of ur car then the muffler will do it cause it will just make the car roaring and that's it. But performance u gotta buy the full exhaust system cause by then the full exhaust pipe will b wider which will let more air coming through ur exhaust and ur engine and will burn more fuel and at the end u will gain abt 10 to 20 MAX HP Hope u got the full circle :)

The factory exhaust system on that car is completely adequate unless you start doing performance upgrades to the motor.

Thanks a bunch: Simply, NO Tanabe racing exhausts are not the low tone you are looking for. The tanabe medallion is very loud and will set off car alarms all around you. If you don't belive me I will send you my written violations for loud exhaust and disturbing the peace. I do not recommend them unless you want to be heard by everyone.

Q:Were do you get aftermarket exhaust systems installed?: Any mechanic should be capable of installing that thing in a short time. Any exhaust shop would be able to do it faster since they are equipped for exhaust service anyway. Get a phone book and start calling for a quote. It's still not illegal to talk to a living person before posting a question on the internet.

Dam cop stopped me just for having my music to loud.: Were you pulled over in California? I believe you pay the fine, and change out hte muffler. If you got state reffed that would be a problem tho because the stations are closed.
