- Q:Is the water lamp in the basement water pump fluorescent or waterproof?
- The ordinary pump houses are ordinary energy-saving lamps, but there is a glass shield outside of it which is waterproof...And they're all emergency lights!Like some large pump houses, they have riot lights...
- Q:i a wayne above ground pump i need to know how to run all my water lines
- that's conceivable which you have a small tare in the backside of the pool making it leak below the pool you could flow to a pool place and purchase a pool patch it like a huge sparkling bandage it rather is made to repair leaks in swimming pools
- Q:My 93 Ford t-bird over heats and i really don't know what could be the problem, the radiator is working fine, and also the fan and the thermostat, i don't think is a head gasket because the oil looks alright with no contamination and there is no steam coming from the exhaust im beginning to suspect the water pump but the weep hole is not leaking. So does a water pump MUST leak from the weep hole if it is bad, or it could be bad and not leak? thanks in advance...
- How To Test Water Pump
- Q:Have a Toyota RAV4. About 156, 000 miles on it.Yesterday as I started driving, there was a sound coming from underthe hood that sounded similar to a stick in bicycle spokes. Got to theend of the block and stopped and noticed there was smoke comingfrom below the belts.Got back to the house and the temp was up really high. No fluid.Added fluid and water and it was leaking, but not from the radiatoritself, but from towards the back of the engine?Might this be the water pump?
- My dad and i were driving our mitsubishi eclipse and then we stoped a parking space to go to the store al of the sudden something popped and it stared smoking and a bunch of water came out yes it was the water pump we got a new one and it started working fine try that.
- Q:How does a pump pump water?
- Centrifugal pump is the use of centrifugal force to increase the pressure of water and make it flow of a pump. It is composed of pump shell, impeller, rotating shaft and so on. The motor drives the rotating shaft, the rotating shaft drives the impeller to rotate at a high speed in the pump casing, and the water in the pump is forced to rotate with the impeller to generate centrifugal force. The centrifugal force forces the liquid from the impeller periphery to throw, the high speed, the high pressure water flows through the pump shell outside the pump, the impeller center forms the low pressure, thus draws in the new water flow, forms the unceasing water current transportation function.
- Q:Why does the pump decay when connected in parallel?
- When two pumps are connected in parallel, the flow rate is less than two of the rated flow of the pump. That is because of the loss of the pipeline and the incomplete sealing of the one-way valve (backflow) and the maximum capacity limit of the pipeline. The solution is to increase the diameter of the supervisor, check whether the one-way valve is completely sealed, whether the inlet and outlet pipe is blocked or not, and reasonably reduce the elbow and the valve.
- Q:i installed a new pump don't know how to increase water pressure and to what what pressure it should be set
- This is very simple i would sugest the pressure to be set betwene 60 to 70 NO MORE THAN 70. 1. turn off power to pump (ether the circut breaker or a switch near the pressure switch) you dont want to weld the wrench to the switch. 2. remove the cover to the pressure switch its self (usly one #2 phillips screw) 3. now you will see 4 wires under some sloted screws nearest to the front of the switch, behint that is 1 or 2 bolts with a spring and a nut. 4. if you see 2 bolts you will want to turn the nut on the larger one to the right. you will want to tighten it about 1 to 2 full turns. (the same goes if there is only one bolt also) 5. now open the valve that is on the tank untill you here the switch click. then close the valve. 6. turn the power back on tio the pump and watch the pressure gauge on the tank. i DO NOT RECOMEND MORE THAN 70PSI. 7. if it goes over the pressure you want repete steps above exept loosen the nut in about 1/4 to 1/2 turns untill you reach the desired pressure 8. if it does not reach your desired pressure then you do the same thing exept tighten the nut in 1/4 to 1/2 turns untill you attain your desired pressure. 9. when the pressure is reached, replace cover so you dont risk rusting the contacts. if you need more help feel free to email me. and i will assist you in any way that i can.
- Q:just pulled my well pipe up and installed a new foot valve will i have to fill the pipes back up with water before i can get it to pump
- How To Prime A Pump: (Need: Gallon jug of drinking water, a roll of teflon tape, and an adjustable wrench or a pipe wrench.) A. Unplug pump (or cut OFF breaker box at pump, if one). B. Unscrew (counter-clockwise) the largest (3/4) plug on top of pump head. C. Wrap 2-3 flat turns (clockwise only) of teflon tape on threads of plug. D. Pour water into plug hole until full, and quickly start threads of plug by hand. E. Plug in or turn on pump, and finger-tighten plug (air and water will bubble out around threads as you do so) until pump picks up prime. Then wrench-tighten plug when it does. Repeat all steps, if necessary, until you have full water pressure and pump cuts off on its own. Good Luck!
- Q:After reaching a height of 50 feet , there should be enough pressure to hose around 20 to 30 feet of water from it for curing concrete structure ex: columns, slab area etc. How many inches ( diameter ) of rubber hose is required to plug the water pump for pumping water ?
- It depends on your type of pump. Pumps delivering over 200 feet from bore well are usually multi-stage turbine type.
- Q:I have some black RTV silicone that I got with a gasket for my oil pan. Can I use some on a gasket for a water pump instead of regular sealant or is there a particular type I need? If there is a certain or preferred type please give me a link to it at like autozone or something, thanks!
