Q:i have a 2007 fiat bravo 1.4
Not enough to notice. It will probably sound cool though. If you want more power, then you need to increase the amount of air the engine compresses, increase the compression, and increase the flow. Of course, the more air you put into the engine will cause you to need an increase in the proper amount of fuel to ignite the air so your gas mileage would drop with increased HP. But I think I know what you are trying to do you want the car to have a bit more power and sound cool doing it. in addition to the cat back system, you will want to get headers and larger exhaust to the cat back system. That will help scavenge the exhaust out of the engine and allow for better performance. If you have lots of money, Id say do it. if you dont have a lot of money I would just leave it stock. You wont notice a large increase in HP. Same goes for the K N air filter and cold air intakes.
Q:94 chevy S-10 p.u. 117.9 in. wh. base, i want 2 replace the middle pipe, muffler, and the tail pipe. i dont want 2 replace the catylitic or the manifold pipe if i dont have 2. i got a rust hole about 3 or 5 inches from the catylitic converter. the pieces are welded.
Just buy a preformance exhaust system and replace the whole thing for about $300. Adds about 30 - 50 HP around 17- 20% increase, and increases fuel efficiancy.
Q:Which First Catback Exhaust system or Short ram air intake?
Depends. Do you want to gain 1 horsepower, or 2 horsepower? Because that's about all those will do for you And think about how retarded a short ram intake is. The idea is to get cold air into the engine, because it's more compressed. A short ram intake pulls HOT air in, which gives you LESS power than stock. Assuming you had bothered to do any research at all into the matter.
Q:My stock system on my ej8 civic coupe (2000) is rusted. What system that looks stock and quiet but has a better flow? What piping diameter is appropriate that won‘t hinder performance?
Really, there isn't much you can do exhaust wise that will be a sleeper for a civic. Only a very expensive exhaust system will actually give your civic a decent tone or you will sound like all those other ricers on the road. Also got to think with all the extra sound you produce you may gain a full 10 horsepower max. If you really don't care about sounding like a ricer and people with real power laugh at you then you can go as far as just replacing the pipe with maybe a 2.25 inch pipe, which will give it a little deeper tone. Get some aftermarket headers either high flow cat or take it out all together if you have no emissions and run straight pipe to a good muffler. I wouldn't really go past 2.25 inch pipe only because you will probably begin losing torque after that and these little engines don't have much torque to begin with and doesn't push enough air to need a bigger exhaust pipe size. I think 2.5 might be just a little much, but it may work.
Q:I JUST BOUGHT A 2007 GSX-R 600 AND I AM LOOKING FOR A SLIP ON. DOES ANY ONE KNOWS WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST OPTION? (I LIKE LOUDNESS)
Most exhaust are loud enough but some have more raspy sounds than others. I personally go with leo vince and scorpion. akrapovic and two brothers are not your loudest but the hp gain is a lil bigger but were talking slip so its not gonna make a difference that you feel anyway. Stay away from cheap exhaust like pit-eck. Remember you get what you pay for. Also d d is the loudest exhaust.
Q:So a couple months ago I decided to cut my muffler off and straight pipe my truck. Sounds nuce but I kinda hate the sound now. Whats the best exhaust for it under 1000? Its a 5.3 and I am also wonder why after I straight piped it it back fires and it throws out black smoke when reved above 5 rpm. Not a lot but still. It never did it before and all I have added is a cold air intake! Any ideas why?
A Magnaflow stainless steel cat back system would fit the bill
Q:If these are worn can they cause my exhaust to rattle?
Exhaust Hangers. Yes, it would cause the exhaust to rattle. Could be something loose somewhere in the exhaust causing the rattle like a bad gasket (some call them doughnut gaskets). Could even be a heat shield. There is usually a metal sheet that run above your exhaust to keep some of the heat from getting to car itself. These are really bad about rattling.
Q:I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Hemi with factory exhaust system. Looked at some aftermarket kits and decided to maybe have the local exhaust shop run duals from the cats back out to the rear with either 2 magnaflow or flowmasters. Question is, will this be sufficient to at least not loose any torque or hp? Not neccesarily looking for big hp gains but dont want to loose any low end torque. And really hoping for a gas mileage improvement and a bit deeper sound. Just don‘t wanna loose any useful back pressure. Also wondering if getting rid of the resonator will make the cabin drone sound that I can‘t stand. Thanks.
u need a aif filter of some sort to filter teh air going into ur motor. otherwise ur sucking in trash and dirt wich will lead to engine failure.u can pick up a universal filter that shud slide right onto the mass air sensor for under 20 bucks at a parts store
Q:I have a 2005 f150 and want to cut my cats off , what would be a really loud exhaust , and also would cutting the cats turn on my check engine light? And how do I get it off someone told me like orielys or autozone could get it to turn off. Thanks
If you remove the cats you won't be able to pass a visual inspection to get a sticker, and there is a pretty hefty fine if you are caught running without one. You can go cat-less, but you will need MIL eliminators to keep the check engine light from coming on, they are plug and play, they plug into your O2 sensor plugs. Try SLP Loudmouth II exhaust, that's a pretty aggressive sounding exhaust.
Q:I have a 5.0L V8 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. I already got a KN FIPK Cold-Air Intake that worked WONDERS. Sometime in the future I would like to put a cat-back exhaust system on it. The catch is, there are tons of companies (edelbrock, gibson, magnaflow, flowmaster, dynomax, etc.) and I don‘t know a whole lot about cat-back exhaust systems. I‘m not looking for SOUND at all, I‘m looking for performance gains like I accomplished with installing the cold-air intake. I want a cat-back exhaust that is going to help my car function easier/better and therefore improve power and fuel economy and all that other good stuff. I‘m not concerned with how it looks or sounds, I‘m concerned with the health and performance of my car. Which company is the best for that in regards for my vehicle, or how could I figure it out on my own? Some of those companies don‘t even have something for my particular vehicle, but I know that they can pretty much finesse whatever you want. THANKS
Magnaflow usually has the best model coverage and they have a mellow muted tone, performance wise they're all pretty close. For longevity, pay the extra for the stainless steel system.
