Q: don't have harness so im going for straight connect
I would go get the harness, or wait and have one shipped to you. You can do a ton of electrical damage to the vehicle, if it's not done correctly. But, if the radio's harness was already cut: Constant 12V+ Orange Switched 12V+ Yellow Ground Black Illumination Gray Dimmer Brown Antenna Trigger Pink Antenna Right Rear Front Speakers 6 1/2 Doors Left Front (+) Tan Left Front (-) Gray Right Front (+) Light Green Right Front (-) Dark Green Rear Speakers 6 1/2 Side Panels Left Rear (+) Brown Left Rear (-) Yellow Right Rear (+) Dark Blue Right Rear (-) Light Blue AS ALWAYS, Double check all wiring, with a multimeter.
Q: I have a old sony 20wx4 stereo in my car.i just purchased a Dual touchscreen motorized dvd player.(Dual xdvd710) and my friend is going to install it for me today, and he said to get a wiring harness from best buy.Do i absolutely need one? Or can he use the one thats there already, if theres one there.? I'm tryng to save as much as possible because the radio was $250. Its going in my 95 camaro.
You need a wiring harness, matching the different color wires together is trial and error and you dont want to possibly mess up your new tv. theyre fairly cheap, i know your excited but if you cant afford it wait till next paycheck
Q: I own an Acura Legend '91 and the wire harness on the passenger side was torn apart. I think it damaged the wire towards the turning signal.
I'm not a big fan of patching wires on automobiles. The problem is the weather. Corrosion will just tear into any repair you do, unless you do a really fancy one. Like those barrel crimp connectors - utter and absolute junk. They make a variation on those which have heat-shrink ends on them, but not just heat-shrink, they actually release a gooey liquid which melts into the splice to keep out moisture. They're expensive though, $1 each or so. Last time I bought a factory harness repair kit, it came with those. Another option is to tin and solder the wire ends, and then shrink wrap it and then wrap with electrical tape. But working in close quarters, that is a major pain, great way to burn other wires, burn carpet, burn yourself. Be sure to re-wrap the harness so wires are not flailing around, that will break them.
Q: I have some bad wires in my 01 jetta and i would like to know how/where I order a new wiring harness. How do I get the part number and who do I order it from?
If it can be ordered get it at the VW dealer or the wrecking yard.Take your tools. A little tape or splice and solder bare wires will work.
Q: 04 jeep rubicon, this harness is located beside the battery , has 1 red and 1 blk heavy size wire, looks like may have hooked to the neg bat and pos alt bolt, it runs down to the transfer case some where , not sure of its purpose ,afraid to hook up until find out what it does, any one with a wrangler? , need answer bad ,just bought jeep ,a recent clutch was installed
we use 6/0 and bigger wires for acc such as light bar, tow packages and the like. if its unpluged the acc might have been removed at trade in. if you plug it in it might noy have a in line fuse and you could start a fire and or short your electrical system and thats expensive!!
Q: Use the single-chip production line beam inspection device, to check the line order is correct or not, and can detect the number of different beam lines more
Two kinds of usage is the same, but WDZ-BYJF is a low smoke halogen-free environmentally friendly wires, if the burning words will not produce harmful gases, smoke is also less, there is a good flame retardant. While the BV is the ordinary wire without the above characteristics. The price of the two compared to the former price is much higher, the latter is relatively cheap. Q: I have a radio that came from another blazer, it's a 2000 something. My blazer is a 1995, and I'm wondering if a wire harness for a 95 could be the same from a 2000 something blazer. I was told it might be the same, does anyone have info or links
The 95 Blazer used the same radio harness through 2002. 2003+ Blazers use a different harness.
Q: I have an aftermarket radio that I previously had installed in my old car, that I want to put in my new car. (2004 dodge stratus). The stratus came with an mtx subwoofer and amp already installed from the other owner. The car has the factory radio currently installed. I was wondering if I can use a wiring harness for the after market stereo so I don't have to splice or cut any wires with that subwoofer already hooked up or if I'll need something else. Thank you.
If everything is factory and the PO didn't hack your wires up, you shouldn't have to. Ether way, we are talking about one wire here compared to the rest of the harness. Why sweat it?
Q: I have a 1986 volvo 240 DL with a kenwood indash reciever in it. I want to connect the reciever again. I need to know what color red connects to, What color does black connect to, what color does yellow connects to and thats it. Some one please help me!
red is 12volt constant black is ground yellow is 12 volt trigger are you asking what wires coming from the receiver connect to in the factory wiring harness or vice verse? Go buy a voltmeter. they are $6 at walmart. Test the loose factory wires by setting the voltmeter to 12v dc. touch one of the probes to the frame, or any metal on the car, then with the car off, touch the probe to the loose oem wires. if the voltmeter shows a current with the car off, that is the 12v constant. there ya go, you can just run the black wire from the back of the receiver to any metal ground. the last wire would be your trigger.
Q: i have the complete wiring harness for my craftsman lawn mower. i have the ignition switch and all kids of wires that im pretty sure i dont need i just need/want it to start it and kill it.i need to know what wiring i need to use just for the ignition switch and if i am going to have to bypass other wiresit is an upright motor the flywheel is already on it i just need to know how to get power to the starter and to be able to use my key switch i plan on putting it on my go cart so i dont need half the wires on the wire harness.
The air gap is not a critical measurement so long as there is a gap. With the magnets adjacent to the coil the gap should be set. I don't think that you can install the coil upside down or at least you can't on my Kohler engine. You did not mess up the timing. You would have to remove the flywheel to effect the timing. I would check the spark with the new coil. If you are not getting spark, disconnect the ground wire from the coil and try it again. Most often when a coil is bad they quit completly when they get hot not just make the engine run bad. You could be working on the wrong problem. The first thing to do is determine if you have spark with the new coil.
