Q: i am adding an amp to a 2004 corolla just for 2 subs.i have my hi low converter and i need to connect it to the left and right speaker.my stock radio has an available slot for another wire harness. do i need another 1?

Q: 2000 Bravada no or very little power to anything electrical. cant find anything loose or unplugged . i was told it could be a ground issue but i can not find a ground for the wiring harness in the vehicle. ive checked the ground wires under the hood they seem to be fine.i just replaced the heater core so it must be something in the dash.
A ground that is bad will show little power, but so will a bad live connection. Check the starter connection from the positive battery post down to the starter, and look at the connection, both going to and from the terminal. If all is ok, there should be a ground wire from the engine block to the car body also. If not make one and install it. good luck
Q: I have a U.S.-based company and we are putting together a new electronics assembly which requires a wire harness. What are the advantages of approaching sub-contractor for the development of a wire harness assembly in the U.S. versus in China or Mexico?
Where you have them built is less important than the quality of the harness and whether they build it to spec. You will likely save money if you have it built outside the U.S. but, you also may face communication/cultural issues. One idea is to contract with a firm that has U.S. offices where the design and contracts are handled, but that also oversees manufacturing capability to keep costs down.
Q: Hi I have a 1987 honda hatchback dx carb. And I bought a d15b2 engine to do the swap but the connections from the d15b2 harness don't plug in with the dashboard connections does anyone know where I can have one made? A good website where they make them? Also if anyone knows something about converting the car to fuel injection it would be helpful thanks in advance
specific. as long as its an OBD0 to OBD0, OBD1 to OBD1, OBD2 to OBD2 and if it Vtec or non Vtec. in case you attempt to swap an OBD1 to OBD2 do no longer artwork, and vise versa, If the two are OBD2 and are the two Vtec. yea that is going to artwork, you will in basic terms have a pair of cord left in case you employ the harness from a a million.8 Vtec.
Q: i need a car stereo wire harness for a 2002 pontiac grand am, but i cant find one. i tried crutch field but it says none of them fit and i cant find one anywhere else
See where your oil fill cap is? That is the black cap on the front of the engine that says 5w30. That cap is screwed into the front valve cover. The engine has an identical valve cover on the back side. The hole will be on the drivers side of the engine and looks almost identical to the front hose that pops into the front valve cover.
Q: I have a Dual xdvd8265 and i wrecked the first car it was it. I am finally getting around to putting it in my new car and realized I forgot to get the wiring harness that came with the stereo. I have a wiring harness adaptor that lets me hook it to my Toyota but the actual harness that came with the stereo and plugs in the back is missing. I have looked for it but I haven't had any luck. Any help on where I can get one or anything would be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot.

Q: I am replacing the factory stereo with a new pioneer head. The problem I am having is which wiring harness I need for the stereo to work. The guys at the store told me I needed the GMRC-04 in order for it to work. The problem is its $100 itself. I found a scosche wiring harness that fits my Bonneville as well for much cheaper. I was wonder, will the cheap on work with all of the steering wheel controls? And also will it work with the delayed shut off after the key is taken out (and doors remain closed)? Will it work just as well as the expensive one? Or will it not function properly?

Q: Hi,I'm installing a car stereo for the very first time in my 2000 BMW 323i (e46). I bought a wiring harness to convert the BMW wires into something my Kenwood will match to. All the wires are connected and the radio antenna is also connected (with an aftermarket converter). The only problem is the wiring harness is blocking the track where the radio goes in. We tried shoving it over to the left but there is no room for the wiring harness. So I'm stuck. The radio works fine, but it won't fit because the wiring harness is in the frame! Does anybody have some suggestions to try? We're going to pull the entire frame out and put the wiring harness behind that later today as a last resort. But are there other ways to try this? Thanks!
I feel your pain, I ended up having to look up a wiring diagram for mine and splice the harness that come with the head unit straight to the wires from my car, as in completely removing the factory harness another option would be to cut a portion of the wires shorter than splicing. To allow room. There should be a cubby to the right. If you can get someone with small hands to push the factory harness back and into that cubby it should allow room for the unit, the key is folding the wires neatly so they stay back, only problem is accomplishing this while you can't really see them lol. Good luck.
Q: I just bought a new car and I know nothing about car. The problem is my current stereo wont play CD-RW so I plan to replace it with In-Dash Pioneer DEH-P5000UB. However, since Im ignorant about car I dont know what I need to set it up in my car. So do I need other items to install it or no?By the way my car is Mitsubishi Mirage 2000.Thanks,

Q: Do i just need a wiring harness? or are those only for decks? How much will this cost for a 1997 lexus? My friend wants to hook up 2 subs and an amp to his stock system. The amp and subs have no wires with them ( pretty sure they were stolen)
well first of all, you should not support theives but amps and subs dont normally come with a harness. you can buy a kit that has everything you need or buy them seperately. a kit will run you from 50 to 150, depending on the size of wires. but basically, you need -power wire (about 4 gauge, you can get smaller, but why not get 4 gauge so you dont have to upgrade on the future?) with a fuse, about 12-15 feet, depending on how you mount your amps. -ground wire (4 gauge also), the shorter the better, but get about 3 feet just in case. -rca wires, about same length as power wire. -remote wire, same length as power -and some speaker wires (i like using 12 gauge wires), length depends on where you mount amps but if you dont know what wires you still need, you should buy a kit and have a professional install it.
