Q: I have a old sony 20wx4 stereo in my car.i just purchased a Dual touchscreen motorized dvd player.(Dual xdvd710) and my friend is going to install it for me today, and he said to get a wiring harness from best buy.Do i absolutely need one? Or can he use the one thats there already, if theres one there.? I'm tryng to save as much as possible because the radio was $250. The proper wiring harness costs less than $10. Why waste your time and trouble (and possible damage to your head unit)? Buy the one that is designed for your vehicle.

Q: i have bought double din CAR DVD player VM9020TS from OKorder and it came without power harness, now i am very confused, now can i find the power harness input cable for this player, does all cars has the same power input adapters for stereos. my car is maxima 04 and has factory embedded cd/cassette player(which sucks). anybody help me to find the wire harness for this dvd player. i will appreciate it. thanks: You can try calling Jensen and see if they can sell you a harness for the radio. And you will still need a second adapter harness to plug into your cars factory harness. Or send it back and find another one that is guaranteed to have a wire harness with the radio.

Q: Dealership claims rats chewed through the knock sensor wire harness, and I'm just curious what this part is actually doing?: The sensor wires transmit the signal back to the engines computer, and if an engine knock (caused by a too lean condition) is detected, it will tell the fuel system to enrich it self, by added more fuel. and this saves the engine from damage.

Q: I recently bought a lt1 engine and auto trans for my v6 1994 camaro because the v6 motor and auto trans are junk. And I was just wondering would the stock v6 wire harnesses work for this motor.: no you have two more spark plugs and fuel injectors on the v8 than the v6 so right there your missing four wires also the v6 takes in less gas so even if you somehow wired in four more wires it still would not run at all you will need to change the wiring harness, computer, transmission and motor mounts to make it all fit correctly after that you would need a bigger radiator and go get or cut your drive line to fit once all that is done it will run ok but more than likely unless you had someone that does it for a living do the job which would mean you need alot of money it probably wouldn't run right I would just stick with a different v6 save you much head ache best of luck hope this helps

Q: I have 86 chevy half ton pickup needing a harness. will a harness from an 84 half ton work for me as I have one availible to me: Only if it has the same engine/trans combo. I don't remember any major changes happening between 84 and 86, but taking that into account, thoroughly label everything you're removing, and bring the digital camera along to snap pics of the harness with the labels on them as you remove each connector. Better safe than confused as all heck!

Q: i need to know how to find the connector from the wiring harness to the transmission speed sensor! The mechanic i had working on it forgot to hook it up and now everything is hooked up except for that! The transmission and the engine are all hookes up and i can't find the sensor hookup at the harness!!: Take it back to the person that worked on it and have him/her hook it up.

You can try the website of the company that made the radio and see if you can buy a harness for it. Or if you give me the make and model of the radio i will try to find one for you.
