Q: I bought a wiring harness for my 99 durango and when I got my boss 758dbi head unit there is a blue wire labled antenna wire. Do I wire the blue wire from the stereo to the harness? If so where do I wire the remote wire from amp?: try it with a multimeter - all you want for an amp distant/set off is a cord that shows 12V+ at the same time as the ignition is on. Technically any accent potential cord behind the sprint will do the pastime - at the same time with splicing into the ciggarette potential cord as an party.

Q: I have an engine swap Im doing this week with a cut wiring harness, my buddy said to get a standalone to replace the harness. Will this work? My car is a 90 celica gts. Engine swap with the 3sgte 2.0 L, from an alltrac celi: Call the junkyard you got the engine from and tell them it is useless to you without the harness intact. Furthermore if you change from one type of engine to another you will need the appropriate ecu (computer) which controls the engine, sensors, transmission etc. Without the intact wire harness and appropriate ecu you are going to spend a lot of time spinning your wheels and not the ones on the car. I'm not certain but I think most stand alone engine management systems require the wire harness to be intact anyway. Why are you performing this swap?????

Q: I just bought a Metra 80-6502 for my 03 dodge ram 1500. It has 2 ends. One is black and box shaped, the other is white and has a bunch of little boxes. Which end is for what?: Well the white plugs are quick plug ins for the the speakers in the dodge ram. let me guess, the white, gray, grean, and purple wires are the ones that have the white plugs on them right? The black end of the harness is what plugs into the harness on the car. plug it in and make sure it fits. Once it fits disconect it and cut the white plugs off of the other end. Then just wire your new radio up the same way. Just in case you dont know the wireing I will tell you. I dont like to hear people burned a brand new radio or started poping fuses or something. Q: Hello, I recently have been trying to find a radio wire harness for Mercury Milan 06 Premier System(8 Speakers). Everywhere we go, we find normal 4 stock speaker harnesses, which don't work for a premier system. If anyone knows what I might have to buy and or do to make this work, I'd be very grateful. Q: I have a kenwood head unit installed in my 02 Honda Civic and im getting a much better JVC this week. Do I need to change the wiring harness in the back or should everything just plug right in?: There are 2 harnesses There is 1 that plugs into the back of the radio, and one that plugs into the vehicle harness that is connected to the harness that comes out of the deck. Technically speaking, everything will plug in. Just need to wire the harness that is vehicle specific into the back of the new deck. Its easy!
