- Q: Is this really difficult to maintain? I have a 7-year old and we live in the tropics. What are the products that we need to use as protector?
- I had a leather sofa only it was black. When it was hot, it felt very uncomfortable sitting on it, especially in shorts because like everyone else has said, you feel like you're becoming one with the sofa from the sweat. Also, a cream color will get dirty because it's such a light color. I agree that a cloth type material is the way to go. Since you live in the tropics, maybe you may want to consider wicker with some nice cushions.
- Q: We already have a fabric (slate blue color) recliner that is only about 6 yrs old, perfect condition that we have no intention (at this time) of replacing.With this new tax refund MAYBE coming this summer ($2100 WHOOOO HOOOO) I would like to replace our sofa/love seat. - You could get leather, as leather will go with anything. However, there are a lot of styles and qualities of leather sofas. If you have a lot of kids and pets, I would wait on the leather. Go to a furniture store and look at what they have. Most stores have a designers section where you can check out fabric samples. I would suggest getting a durable fabric with a high # rating that will last for years and... get one that is in a print with lots of different colors (easier to hide spills and stains).

- Don't worry about matching the sofa with a love seat. If you love the sofa and want to incorporate your wing chair, consider an armless chaise in the same fabric as your sofa, color conducive to the wing chair. If you need the extra seating for occasional parties, then an armless chaise would suffice since it can accommodate 3 people seated lengthwise. If you need the seating for a large family, you may opt for another sofa, facing each to the other, coffee table in the middle (depends on the scale and function of your room).

- A combination of skin oils, sweat and dirt. You should be cleaning the arms with a good grade of leather cleaner every week. Consult the furniture store where you bought the sofa, or the cleaning instructions that came with it. Remember, a leather sofa is like you skin. It can dry out, it can get dirty and it needs to be washed. But it doesn't need deodorant.

- Put two high-backed chairs a few feet from the sofa and then put a sheet over the the top. You can use the cushions from the sofa in the open areas to make doors/gates where the sheet opens up. Bonus: If you take a broom and tuck it in between the couch cushions, you can tie the sheet to it and make a pirate ship. It's easy to make pirate hats out of newspaper. That way you can escape when someone invades your fort.

- There are 3 feet in a yard (36 inches). If you need 32 feet, divide that by 3 (3 feet in a yard). The answer is the number of yards you need. When you go to the fabric shop, and tell them the number of feet you need, they can translate it into yards for you (unless they were asleep in grade school also).

- I can pretty much guarentee any sofa built will fit thru a 36 wide door; otherwise, no one would be able to buy them because they couldn't get them in the house.. If it is a fully upholstered sofa, the feet probably come off. Anyway, tilting the sofa forward (as in towards the front of the sofa, not towards the guy in the lead) as you go thru the door should get you the space you need. good luck. - Q: what color sofa goes with espresso colored walls?
- OMG! im not sure exactly what the color is called, but its a shade of blue. its alittle darker than a normal blue jean color but it still has the toned down dusty appearance so it wont be too exsuberant. but this shade of blue goes so lovely with espresso especially in a modern style house.

- Hhhm I think you should purchase darker furniture because if you chose light colored it will seem as one lighting spot. But not too dark to avoid strong contrast.
