- You could go with a deep red for the accent pillows. Maybe a pattern in reds, golds, brown and off white. You could also use a throw on the sofa in that color. For the drapery you could go with the deep red with maybe a natural shade under the drapes, like bamboo or woven. For a more natural look you could use a pattern pillow in dark greens, tans, browns, and off whites and then a dark green drape with the natural shades. Another great color with Khaki is dark blue. You can add a lot of warmth to a light room by just adding the accent colors. If you love the sofa get it. You will not always have the carpet and walls that you are describing. I actually have off white carpet, off white walls and my sofas are off white leather. The accent furniture is dark wood and to warm the look of the room I have palm tree pillows that are in shades of the green, tan, brown and off white. I have a dark green throw on the one sofa. I also have pictures on the walls with shades of greens, golds, and browns with a touch of light orange the drapes are the dark green with bamboo shades and it is a very warm and inviting room. When you are out looking for things find the colors that most appeal to you. You will then start to see patterns that appeal and so on. Good luck with your room!

I'm concerned about how my back cushions will look stuffed inside, because they're very malleable and have a mind of their own. Would it make sense to sew them together somehow before putting them inside the slipcovers? Or would I likely be unhappy with the appearance because it will be lumpy?

- You need to teach your dog not to jump up on the sofa. Then you can buy whatever colour you want! Why not buy a cheap leather sofa with a cover that can be taken off and shaken or washed. A cover would protect the leather from being ripped by his toe-nails! I have a leather one from a well known swedish manufacturer I**A. I have several covers so I can change the look and have them cleaned. I even bought a white one and dyed it to match the walls.

- Hi, I don't have advice about companies but I have some experience in sofa beds, I think they are fairly comfortable for a night or two, good choice if seating is going to be the main purpose of the piece of furniture, but if you want something really comfy to sleep on and still use it for seating, go for a day bed with a pop up trundle, together they make a king size bed. I've slept on air mattresses and I think it's better to sleep on the carpet, they don't give you support, they are not soft, they are noisy and they loose air, I think they are good just for camping, and I would probably take a piece of foam instead of an air mattress.
