- Q: we received a free sofa with dual recliners the other day. it is in great condition and the price was right. the only problem is a smell of urine. any secrets out there to eliminate this smell?
- you can go to petsmart or any other pet store and get something. they have a great variety. most of that stuff should work great because it's got the right enzymes to break down the urine. the only problem you might have is if someone has already tried to get the smell out with the wrong products. then the smell might be locked in. but there is not only ONE product or brand name to buy, many will work if they got the enzymes. the last thing i bought wasurine gone or something. i really liked it because it had a great smell. whatever you use, make sure you soak the area that smell like urine really good and let it air dry. if you think it might just be topical you might use a spray bottle and soak it that way. but don't hesitate to use a lot! i deal with that a lot because of my 2 cats and 2 rats! good luck!
- Q: There are so many types of sofa. I'd like to get some suggestions....
- Choose one that is sturdy, the framework. Choose your fabric wisely. I bought one that is covered in that new chenile fabric and it makes those little pills, or balls up. I have to use one of those fabric shavers. Choose a color to compliment your decor and maybe something that won't show dirt or stains. I don't like the sofas with skirting on them. Something is always hiding under there. If you choose one with the pillows for the back they will get saggy..

How well does the furniture age? I don't want it looking shabby after a short while. - Here is a solution get a used leather sofa. You won't be contributing too the death and suffering of other animals nor will you be buying a new product which will always hurt animals and the earth more nor will you be buying a fake product made out of harmful chemicals which will hurt everything. Plus it will appease your parents, they get there silly leather sofa and no animals are harmed to get it (aside from the ones harmed to make it in the first place which you have nothing to do with because they were killed a long time ago for someone else and you are just stopping it from being thrown out or destroyed which creates more harm) I don't much like leather either and would always try and stay away from leather but rather it come used then buying anything new. As the phrase goes: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...sad that few people actually follow it and that the government uses it as a pretty veil for their destruction and waste.
- Q: I found a leather sofa for sale online that is brand new. The owner is selling it because they are moving and during the process of putting it into storage the back of the sofa was ripped. - Some are and some arent. Some will have a bar that is underneath the base of the couch where the cushions lie. Once there is some wear to your furniture then it is possible for that to get a tad uncomfortable. If the cushions are nice and fluffy and the bar is not directly underneath then I would think the sofa bed would be your best bet for the price. I would call and ask the manufacturer about the rod for the bed and make your decision from there.

- Well Target and Wal-Mart have some on their websites that they do not carry in store-so check that out. Also-once you find the one you are interested in-check Amazon or Google Shopping and see if you can get a lower price.
