Q: Been renting rooms for years, and now I'm finally ready to get my own little place. I'm trying to save space and money basically. I'd like for there to be a comfortable place for people to sit when they visit. I'd prefer not to have a mattress and frame as that would require a lot of space and its not very versatile and cant be moved much. I also dont want something really uncomfortable. I've slept on air beds and floors for years, but I'm not trying to go that route.I only have a bedroom, kitchen, and small bathroom. My bedroom would have to double as a living room basically. Whats the best option for me? Pros, Cons?I'd like to keep it simple and spend no more than $500 on all my furniture. Thanks: I would go with a futon. The mattresses are better than any $500 sofa bed you will find. We have an expensive sofa bed and a futon and the futon is much better for sleeping. I also think in the long-run, the futon will last longer. Sofa beds are great for an occassional overnight guest, but long-term, not so good.

Q: Ok so I'm buying my first ever slipcover for a couch my puppy had a field day with...Here is the slipcover that I love.: You can, if you are concerned about the crease between the pillow showwing up, you could buy some batting and wrap it length wise around the cushions. I did this a few years ago when I needed to slip cover a hideous sofa I had, and I didn't have a lot of money for batting, so I wrapped the three cushions in some comforters that I no longer was using, and you never would have known, it also made the couch more comfortable and freed up some space in the hall closet.

Q: which can be used every day instead of a regular bed? I heard that 4 inch matresses are uncomfortable, and also, many of these convertables fall apart quickly if used daily.: there's a microfiber sofa at pier one stores this season that the salespeople swear is the most comfortable sofa bed ever. i haven't bought it, but have visited a few stores and they all say it. it retails for $699 also consider a mattress topper ( maybe 4 inch memory foam). it's usually thin enough to fold right in with the bed when you need to convert back to sofa.

Q: I just bought an 88 dodge van. Does anyone know how to recline the sofa?: Check behind the sofa for a lever that is usually in the center near the top.You may also check behind the sofa at the base near the floor on each side.If this is a custom made interior like for Recreational use. Q: My roommate's cat sleeps on my new sofa 24 hours a day. I would not mind if it was occasionally but he is always sleeping on it. He is a longhaired cat and the sofa is now covered in fur. The fur is very difficult to get off the fabric and my roommate does not offer to clean it up, so I just do not want the cat sleeping there. I tried spraying the sofa with an herbal spray that was supposed to keep animals off furniture but it did not work. The only other thing I can think of is covering the sofa in plastic but I really do not feel I should have to do that in my own house. My roommate is never home so I do not think training the cat to stay off with a spray bottle would work either. I am sick of cleaning up after her cat.
