- Q: i am getting new furniture and really like there stuff but i dont know which one is comfortable considering the closest store is 3 hours away.. do you have one and if so which one and how are they as durability goes. i have a insane german shepard and wild one year old lol.
- You must sit on a sofa to determine leg length, neck support, whether or not is has an foot rest, etc. Leather is very nice. What suits one for comfort is terrible for another. Since it's 3 h away, I'd buy something local and really sit and test for all family members. And, if there's a problem you call your local dealer. Good luck!
- Q: They seem very comfortable, but those thin wooden slats and those soft plastic hinges that keep them together don't inspire much trust. Is this a sofa bed only for occasional sleeping and not recommended for other activities(wink)?
- It's okay, not great, though. Very firm, so if you like that, good. I would not suggest it for someone who is overweight or has a bad back -- and certainly not for long-term. IKEA's Sultan mattresses are relatively inexpensive, and pretty good, if you're looking for a cheap bedding solution. I wouldn't look at the BEDDINGE as a long-term, every-night bed, though.

- Q: I bought a used microfiber sofa and didn't notice until we got it home that it smells strongly of cologne. I called the pro's and had it cleaned but after everything was dry the scent is a little better but still there (I'm sensitive to smells). I have read about using vodka or vinegar but I don't want to ruin the upholstery. Any suggestions?

- There are leather dyes out there. I don't know if they'll work on your sofa, but you can try one in an inconspicuous spot on the sofa, see if it works. Let it dry thoroughly, then *also* check it to see it rubs off. You can find leather dyes at really good art stores, like Pearl Paint. You can also call in a pro and have them do this, if you've got the cash. In the future, use leather cleaner for your sofa. Leather cleaner is more of an oil/moisturizer. It won't dry out the leather, and it won't remove the color.

- Folex is the best that I have found. It is an upholstery/carpet cleaner. I have a microfiber sofa and it has been pretty good at getting tough stains out. It is fantastic on the carpet. If the stain is really bad, you may need to call a professional cleaner - I have heard good things about that.

- If you were able to tell me what you wanted the sofa to become it would be easier to be more specific in my answer. I will say this, take a digital photo of your room setting and take it in black and white. When you view your image every item in the room will be some shade of gray.Artists and color specifiers use a 10 step gray scale called a value scale to determine how light or dark a color is. Once you determine the value of your sofa, then it will be easy to pick a value paint which will either make it appear lighter or darker. I am thinking from your description that your sofa is inherently light so I would suggest that any color of a value 3 or darker (# 10 being black) will push the sofa into appearing darker. The darker you go, the more the sofa will appear pale. I am thinking you don't like the color so if you choose something relatively dark and intense, it will draw attention away from the objectionable color of the sofa. Now do you want it to look more green than yellow or more yellow than green. Greens are a combination of blue/yellow and so greens can shift to either side of that equation. If you paint any shade of blue, then your sofa will look more yellow, if you choose a gold then it will appear more green. Exactly the opposite of what you think might happen. I'd suggest a relatively light color like Benjamin Moore's Golden Hills, #262 which is a soft yellow. This will make your sofa look a bit more lime which is a very hot color right now. Paint is only one element in a room and can not realistically be expected to carry the entire room. It is up to you to accessorize to flesh the room out. You might consider an analogous palette in order to make less of the sofa you don't really like. - They BOTH are considered the same thing ... I think it's all in how you were taught. Both are proper, but I, personally, like to call it a SOFA ... sounds more sophisticated! Most furniture advertisements call it a Sofa ... have you ever heard of a place selling a Couch Loveseat? I haven't ... they always refer to it as a Sofa Loveseat.
