Q:Does the water pump and the circulating pump belong to the centrifugal pump?
As long as the flow and head to meet what pump can be, the general centrifugal pump applications are more.
Q:A pump is said to be capable of pumping water up to 100 meters, but I don't want to confirm that by actually putting up a very long pipe to that height. I know that pressure is related to height, so putting pressure at the output end of the pump would simulate different heights. Any suggestions how I can rig a contraption to do this? Thanks.
*you can go by the 1st answer as pressure gauge near the pump discharge would give a maximum pressure inclusive of losses. As the losses are more[due to piping congetion or rasistance from the equipment to which it is pumping.] then the discharge head will be decreased. *Simply, in case of a centrifugal pump, close the discharge valve fully for a moment and check the discharge pressure. This is the maximum pressure ,your pump will pump. *Dont do this if the pump is positive displacement pump/regenerative turbine pump. Edit: Discharge head means pumping height in your case.
Q:Pump performance parameters have three sets of data, how to understand the flow, lift, flow speed
The middle parameter is the rated value. The lower limit is the maximum. General use of valve control.
Q:Level 200 meters distance, elevation 30 meters, how much lift water pump?
Lift is usually used to overcome vertical height and pipe loss. Now you can determine the vertical height of 30 meters, 230 meters long pipeline losses but you lack of data not calculated. With the following conditions can be calculated: 1, flow; 2, pipe diameter; 3; pipeline material; 4, elbow number; 5, valve types and quantities.
Q:So when you exercise, is the amount of salts and water pumped out in the loop of henle reduced, if so why????
During exercise the amount of fluid passed through the LOH is increased due to the increase in blood pressure and cardiac output. The actual balance of salt and water is regulated through a different mechanism. Chemoreceptors and baroreceptors in major vessels keep track of the relative concentrations of salts and pressures in the blood vessels and direct the release of hormones that affect kidney function. For example, while exercising excessive sweating may increase the concentration of salt in the blood. To counter this anti-diuretic hormone is released to increase the amount of water reabsorbed by the kidneys. During exercise, the amount of urine produced is lessened because the water balance is used to produce sweat to cool the body. In response to the loss of water, the concentration of salt in the blood increases which triggers the thirst impulse in order to dilute to blood to normal concentrations.
Q:I have a fairly new jetted tub. I stupidly used bubble bath 2 days before and have since read that it is not good, but just because of the amount of bubbles, not that it will actually harm the system. The electrical circuit is not tripped. I hear this clicking but the pump doesn't turn on. Any ideas? Do I need a new pump?
Also may want to check inside the access door underneath some have a cord plugged into a GFI receptacle that may be tripped. May want to check it just in case.
Q:1.where is it located and what would I have to remove 1st to get to it. And would I need a torque wrench if so what # would it have to be at when re-installing water pump
1990 Toyota Celica
Q:My dad bought a boat this winter and when we got it we watched the guy winterize it. He was doing this white it was running on muffs. We got the boat to run today (on muffs) but no water was coming out the pee hole. This is the first boat we have owned. We are rookies. We also don't to take it to a dealer. Is there anything we're doing wrong? I don't know for sure what year the motor is i think a 1900 something. It is 90 horse.
Not to worry. If it was pumping in the fall when it was winterized then the tell tail is probably plugged. This happens all the time.Over the winter spiders or something will crawl inside the hose and plug it.The easiest way to clean it is with compressed air.Just blow out the crap. When you have done this if it still will not pump water then you will need to have a new Impeller installed in the lower unit.I suggest that unless you are confident that you can do it yourself you have it done by a dealer because without water to cool the motor it will not last very long.
Q:Im replacing the water pump in my 1992 toyota celica, and i cant get the pully off! i have been working hard for like an hour, i took the belts off. all i have is good old fashoned sockets and crescent wrenches. do i need to get the pully off? and is it lefty loosey and righty tighty or righty loosy lefty tighty?? because sometimes i hear they reverse it. thanks- jordan
I am sure you would have to get the pulley off in order to access the bolts holding the water pump on. Is there not 4 bolts holding the pulley on? I agree with Don below here. My experience with toyota water pumps was with my 1986 toyota pickup where the pulley did come off after removing the fan.
Q:We lost power during the hurricane, we have well water. the power went out and we lost water also, what are the procedures to bleed and restart a goulds pumps c48a93a06 water pump?
1. you are going to need at least a couple gallons of water in a bucket to re-prime. 2. look for a plug at the top of the pump and remove it. 3. pour water into the plug opening, filling up the pump as much as you can. 4. put plug back in so at least one thread is grabbing. by doing this it will allow air to escape and won't be spraying water everywhere. it is also a good idea to keep your hand on the plug. 5. turn on electricity to pump. 6. when you start to notice pressure re-gaining tighten up the plug so it does not drip. It is also a good idea to have an outside tap on to get air out of the lines. Another thing is, it is a good idea to shut off water to toilets and washing machines before re-starting pump because small debris have a habit of clogging them up. When your pressure is back, drain your toilet and cold water line to your washing machine, flushing all the stuff out until you see nice clear water. Hope I helped and good luck.
