Q: I have a 2004 chevy cavalier that i want to replace my factory cd player with one that you can listen to ipod on.i was told at best buy i would have to buy a special wire harness that would cost $150 so my alarm and everything would work. i was wondering why and if GWH-22 harness would work?

Q: Hello, I have a 91 ciera. it has the 3.3 engine and 3spd tranny. My dash wiring needless to explain is toast *long story* I can grab a 89 wiring harness for the dash from my local yard, I want to know *if anyone knows* will the wires match up between the 91 engine harness and the 89 dash wiring? Both cars have the same engine/tranny set up so I am just curious if any wiring mods would be needed?Thank you if anyone knows
It will be close, but not quite the same. Get the schematic from the factory maintenance manual for your car, and when stuff doens't work, trace the wires.
Q: I just got an automatic car starter with keyless entry for my Kia Sorento this Christmas. My step-Dad is going to put it in for me but he said I need to get a wiring harness for it so that it's easier to install. I can't seem to find a harness for my Kia! Does anyone know where I can buy one??
It's called a T-harness. I got one off of OKorder.
Q: Hi, I am planning to install a newer car deck/head unit for my 1990 nissan 240sx, it already has a older panasonic deck. So when I took a look at the wiring harness I realized that from the deck to the after market harness there exists a black ground wire, and from the after market harness to the factory harness there does not exist a black ground wire, this means that the after market black ground wire is not really connected to anything through the factory harness, the older deck works fine. I was wondering when I install my newer deck, do I need that black ground wire, will it cause any problems if i keep it like that?Thank you.
well the ground wire provides displacement for the power going in the antenna will act as a grond thats why the old deck works but it wont provide good power also running a bigger power wire will give you better perfomance out of the decks amplification system
Q: i have a 1980 camaro with a 305 carburated im putting in a 383 carburated stroker can I use the same wiring harness. Thanks.
No changes necessary - the harness will work as-is.
Q: i recently totaled my last car, a 1999 ford escort se sport. i had a nice custom sound system in my escort, which i pulled out after the wreck i'm buying a 1996 ford probe gt. its a sweet ride 24v 2.5 litre v6. custom six speed racing transmission but anyways. i want to put my system in. i have a kenwood head unit and i was ust wondering if anyone knows whether the stereo wiring harness is the same in an escort as it is in a probe. i know that the probe was actually designed and built by mazda, so idk if the electrical is american or japanese
once you're in contact go have the battery examined alongside with the alternator. regularly there is a few style of tag on the battery that could be useful be attentive to whilst it grow to be synthetic or a minimum of put in interior the vehicle. If it is sparkling and the connectors are sparkling it is in all probability fairly new. ninety six has in all probability had a minimum of three batteries. Battery won't recharge in one day except you hook up a battery charger. Batteries recharge for the time of utilising, that's what the alternator does and it takes approximately 15 minutes to recharge the quantity you used to start up the vehicle. Batteries regularly final 3-4 years and could regularly artwork advantageous up until the time they fail. they regularly do no longer furnish you with any indication they are going to fail.
Q: I have a 98 jeep grand Cherokee and I just bought a pioneer stereo for it. We got a wiring harness and connected everything how it goes except 3 wires ( mute, dimmer and illumination) but the radio won't come on. Should I be connecting those 3 wires? If so, where?
No, you don't need to connect those 3 wires just go back and double check your work, make sure all the other wires are connected properly. Also try wrapping up together all the yellow wires to the red wires this usually makes a stereo work.
Q: All i can say is its a ford grey harness 6 wires, late 90s and below anyone have a clue what they are or maybe even someorange/blueblack/lt bluelt blueyellow/blackblackblack/orange
is this from the aftermarket radio side? or from the ford side? if its from the ford side don't worry about it, its just extra wire for if they would of put a factory cd changer
Q: engine compartment is the main priority but i would like to rewire the gauges, interior lights, etc as well.
If you want new, your Dodge dealer might have it, if used is acceptable, just type d150 wiring harness into your search engine and you will find numerous sites.
Q: I accidentally cut the stock wire harness piece out thinking, that i would just strip the wires and twist them in witht the coenciding colors to my Aftermarket radio, then none of the wires matched. And now all i see is to use a wire harness but that option is out since i cut the wires free from the small harness plug thing that was origanally attactched. any help would greatly be appreciated.
you have to find a wiring diagram for your car and the wiring diagram for the radio you want to put in .
