Q: i am changing outboards from a 85 omc seadrive to a 1990 evinrude, and need to know if the original boat harness will work on the evinrude, they both have the omc red plugs and connect easily.: Since OMC also builds Evenrude and Johnson identical to everything but the paint job and logo, you won't have any problems. When any manufacturer makes a major wiring harness change, they will change the plug/socket configuration to prevent letting all the smoke out of something from a wiring mismatch.

Q: i have a pontiac sunfire 2000 and the wiring harness is like 110$ but for a 99 it s 10.99 why does it make such a big difference? i have the simple version no power locks or windows: because their completly different the 110$ one retains all of the chimes and warning signals, the 10$ one does not it has nothing to do with the year of the car, you can buy the 00 stereo harness for 10 bucks as well. just go to a guy audio shop or search the internet you dont need the harness that retains the vehicles chimes. only difference without it is if your key is in the ignition and your door is open it doesnt go ding ding ding foreverthats all really find the 10$ one for your car, its out there. i have a 02 gand am, same thing with mine. mine was 15 bucks for just the straight harness. not warning signal one

Q: I have a 92 nissan maxima and i had bought a new cd player to replace the stock one. A friend said he could do it, but he cut the main wire harness and hooked up everything wrong. Buy a wiring harness from a reputable parts supplier and install it once ins ted of a Great deal that you will have to replace multiple times over the next several years. All Jeeps have electrical issues that were made before 1992. I own eight different pre 1984 Jeeps and everyone of them has some sort of electrical problem. My favorite of all of my Jeep models is my 1981 SJ Wagoneer Custom. The darn thing keeps blowing the fuse for the back up lights and Neutral Safety switch. Have had an electrician go through it twice and he keeps scratching his head why. If you are new to Jeeps, get used to electrical problems. Jeep is an acronym or Just Empty Every Pocket I do not want to ever get rid of any of my Jeeps.
