Id highly suggest you go to a do it yourself auto wreckers . What kind of problem are you having by the way? By the way if your going to change it why not fix it as you have it off car. Just be sure to buy the same safety approved for cars wire and same exact gages of wire. The thing is find out the colors of the wires with the problems and simply replace them and reseal the harness. Comm colors of problem wires are black , green , blue , red/white , yellow and red. Not hard to take an ohm meter and check that that the wires have good continuity and wiggle the harness move it around check the same wire that way. When replacing the wires you can soldier the new wire on and use heat shrink with a basic cig lighter to seal and weather proof the connections.

You should not use the wiring harness in the trunk. I am guessing that you are refering to the wiring harness going to the amp for your Monsoon system. With any aftermarket amp and sub you are going to need much more power then what a stock amp is going to provide. That means to get the power you are going to need larger wire to deliver that power. You should go and get a wiring kit that can handle the amount of power your amp needs. Then just run the wire from the battery back to your trunk. You will also need to run a few other wires as well. If you keep the stock deck then you may be able to use the wires in the back to hook up a Line Out converter. That will connect to some speaker wires and give you an RCA output that will connect to your amp. Good Luck!!!

Do you have both wiring harnesses that you need? You need one for your car and then one will come with the head unit you buy. If you have the wiring harness for your car and the wiring harness for the radio then you just need to connect the wires with the same colors together.

red is 12volt constant black is ground yellow is 12 volt trigger are you asking what wires coming from the receiver connect to in the factory wiring harness or vice verse? Go buy a voltmeter. they are $6 at walmart. Test the loose factory wires by setting the voltmeter to 12v dc. touch one of the probes to the frame, or any metal on the car, then with the car off, touch the probe to the loose oem wires. if the voltmeter shows a current with the car off, that is the 12v constant. there ya go, you can just run the black wire from the back of the receiver to any metal ground. the last wire would be your trigger.
