Q: Who knows what is the name of the stuff in the picture? Everyday life is often seen, but want to buy and do not know what it is called. The
Into the communications company to do it, ZTE, Huawei, post and telecommunications can be!
Q: I took out the original stereo, which would power on but get only static. It had no display, which I though was just do to the age of the stereo. I cut the stock harness because I could not find any matching ones at the time (found one now, but too late). I have tried installing 2 different stereos. Both will power on, but neither will actually power up. What I mean, is that there is power coming through (you can load and unload a CD and the red light flashes when the head unit is off) but when the head unit is on, it doesn't display anything or actually let you use any functions (seeming like it has no power). It has done this with both stereos, so I'm guessing it's something with the car's wiring. Is it a bad fuse even though it is getting power? A bad wire (power wire)? With the new stereo, when you first turn the key, the display will illuminate for a split second, then nothing, just the limited power like before. The car is a 1987 Caddilac Brougham (like Fleetwood). Thanks.

Q: i bought a aftermarket wiring harness for my 2003 nissan xterra and a boss stereo and i know your suppose to connect all the wires with there matching wires on the harness and stereo, but i am confused on what to do with the ground wire, because both my wiring harness and the stereo have a solid black wire and both say ground (the wiring harness says chassis ground). do i connect those two wire, or do i ground them both separately to bare metal? i am confused and any help would be great
In a Nissan, you'll want to connect the black wire from the new head unit to bare metal. You don't have to do anything with the ground wire in the adapter harness (it probably lines up with an empty pin in the stock radio plug anyway).
Q: I think its a wiring harness but I dont know to do.
Go to walmart and buy a new harness. It will tell you what year the harness fits on the package. Its about 10 bucks and you will have to wire it in.
Q: I am unsure of where I can get one of theses. I know Wal-Mart has stereo factory harnesses but I don't see any that specificly say Geo. I know Tracker was eventually adopted by Chevrolet so would it be a Chevy wiring harness?
remember its really a suzuki sidekick so look for that also
Q: I have a 1994 toyota pickup 2wd. Just recently it had a wire burn up on the wiring harness running to the alternator from the main harness. It burned the ground clean off the alternator the first time then I fixed the wiring and the second time it did it again but on the ground running to the fender but it was the same wire but on the other side of the plug in. When going down the road, the lights and radio would start skipping then the truck motor would start skipping also then just shut completely off. Thats where i found that wire burnt up. I can't fix it after two attempts. Please help
When a vehicle gets to around 15 to 20 years old is when wiring problems usually develop. The places that I would at look first are all the ground wires, ground to engine, engine to chassis, chassis to body, etc. As the ground wires on a vehicle get crusty with age you get bad connections (it's called resistance in the circuit), this will cause back feeds.and cause components to go haywire. This is what I would do, clean off the surface where the wire goes, make it shine and put a dab of never seize on it. Your ground connection at that point will last for many years. You will want to check the ground wires themselves, when they get old enough they can fall apart inside under the insulation. While your at it, also go over the positive side of the circuit like the battery cable to the starter solenoid where you have the positive feed connection for inside the cab. One more thing, pull the harness plug that goes into the firewall to see if your contact points are crusty and corroded. This is the best I can give you without looking at it, I think it will help you.
Q: i recently bought a 2000 3g eclipse and the factory wiring harness has been cut out. i want to hook my after market up. i probed around at some of the wires in the dash with my test light and i found that some of the wires control power to the sunroof, mirror adjustment control, etc etc. so if anyone can link me with a correct diagram of this vehicles radio wiring harness it would highly appreciated. also i dont know if this is an infinity system or not. oh one last thingwhen i hook up a wire in the dash that allows my sunroof to operate funny thing is that the open door light on my dash stays on until i turn the car off.so a diagram would be greatly welcomed, thank you

Q: Could this be the ignition switch or switch wiring harness problem?
I would certainly check the wire harness and the connections but it sounds more likely to be the ignition switch itself. An error that many people commit is to have too much weight on their ignition key ring, which often leads to premature switch failure.
Q: I have a kenwood ddx-6019 double din dvd head unit, now my question is can I use any 22pin wiring harness for my head unit?
negative, it has to made for that radio different manufactures use different color wires and placement so it MIGHT work if they are from the same manufacture, built around the same time and fit
Q: engine compartment is the main priority but i would like to rewire the gauges, interior lights, etc as well.
If you want new, your Dodge dealer might have it, if used is acceptable, just type d150 wiring harness into your search engine and you will find numerous sites.
