The nylon overcoated wires demonstrate the same properties as the above wires without polyamide coating. What's more, because of the nylon coating, these wires' mechanic properties are improved greatly. Used in such cases where fast winding is needed.

Q: I own an Acura Legend '91 and the wire harness on the passenger side was torn apart. I think it damaged the wire towards the turning signal.
Search out a 91 Acura in the junkyard, and pull that harness. If the plug part is in decent shape, its fairly simple to patch the wires and use shrink wrap to seal out the repairs. If you do it yourself, you can probably do it for about 5-10 bucks!
Q: I have a U.S.-based company and we are putting together a new electronics assembly which requires a wire harness. What are the advantages of approaching sub-contractor for the development of a wire harness assembly in the U.S. versus in China or Mexico?
Where you have them built is less important than the quality of the harness and whether they build it to spec. You will likely save money if you have it built outside the U.S. but, you also may face communication/cultural issues. One idea is to contract with a firm that has U.S. offices where the design and contracts are handled, but that also oversees manufacturing capability to keep costs down.
Q: Hi, I picked up a 1988 Honda XR or (LX) 600. It has everything except the wire harness. Is there a way I can wire everything together myself just to see if the engine will run? Have coil, cdi, etc. I guess the better question would be, does anyone know where I can find schematics on where the wires go? Bike bandit doesn't seam to have an image of where the wires connect together. Thanks!

Q: I have a 2002 Impreza with a stock stereo. I just bought and received a new Pioneer deck. I forgot to get a wiring harness. Is it possible to wire it without a new wiring harness? I know, I knowit would be easier with the wiring harness, but I want to bypass that if possible. Can I do it?

Q: Can wiring harnesses for car stereos be re-used? If so, are they specific to the car, the stereo, or both? Right now I've got an older JVC stereo in my '01 Chevy Prizm (same as Toyota Corolla). I'd like to avoid having to buy a new harness, and one of the stereos I'm looking at is JVC. Thanks.
The place you are having it installed might insist on a new harness because the new stereo has more inputs and outputs than the old one, plus the plugs are probably going to be different. Especially if the new stereo has things the old one didn't like satellite radio or ipod input. Sure wish my stereo had an ipod input. And the speakers didn't sound like @%!
Q: I purchase this an it has a lot of wiring that is not being used I am trying to put new life back in to this rig. Is there anyone that can direct me to new control panel and wiring harness for this allison bass boat . thanks
I wold assume you have a bad azz mercury on that rig, mercury has a detailed wiring diagram on their website or look for marine wiring colors, ie, orange, is accessories, fuel gauge is pink, ignition is purple, lights are blue, nav lights are gray, bilge pumps are brown, and so on, some negative leads are black, white or yellow, that can be confusing, but overall all marine 12 volts systems are the same, meaning colors, unless you get an Itilain boat like an Azimuth, all the wiring is the same color, but they do not seem to care or abide to world wide standards. best wiried boats or yahchts are Chinese or Taiwanese, clean and marked prperly, think Cabo took example of that.
Q: I have a 2008 dodge avenger with the premium sound system and navigation head unit. I wanted more power so I added a 4 channel amp. I ended up losing my mids by doing this, but didn't mind at the time as I had also added some subs, however I now want my mids and better overall sound so I bought an aftermarket radio. My question is, since I no longer use the factory amp and don't really care if I can use the steering wheel controls (getting remote with new radio), can I use a simple regular wire harness or do I still have to get one meant for premium sound systems? Also, the car had a double din navigation unit, the new unit will also be a double din unit, would I need a sleeve, or would it simply slide in replacing the stock radio? Thank you in advance for any help.
It'll come with a new sleeve. usually Premium speakers as the dealers call them are still cheap speakers. Why not just replace the speakers also? you're input is good with the amp you installed but the output is still those cheap factory speakers. You'll need a new harness since you're replacing the headunit.
Q: If you can send links or pictures, that will be perfect THANKS.
a company called schoshe makes harnesses for just about every car that will plug directly into the factory harness.you simply wire the harness to the new radio as directed and plug into the factory harness.most every wal-mart sells them for $20 or so.
Q: I blew up my 3.9 and i have a 318 and i need to know if it will fit?
it will fit but you will need a wiring harness from a 318. or if you are good with wiring or a friend is you can usually adapt it but its a lot of work. good luck
Q: I am swichin my factory radio out with a new radio and i was told that i could not use a regular wire harness.
you will need to check with an aftermarket radio dealer for the right harness. Almost all after market radios need a special type of harness to connect to the factory one, it is no big deal just plug and play. The big issue with your impala is that alot of the headlight functions as well as other functions are controlled and changed through the radio. Things such a key fob programming, oil life resetting, tire pressure monitoring resetting, how the horn honks when you lock and unlock the car and so on. This requires a special harness and to find that check with a reputable aftermarket car stereo place. The thing to think about is that if you ever want to adjust those settings that need to be done through the radio you will need to put the factory radio back in.
