Q: if a car stereo rca ports but my car doesnt have rca wires will it work off just the wire harness?I got a 94 camaro no stereo antenna wires modded idk about harness no ine has helped me on here so id apperciate some advice!! Thanks!!!
I don't understand your question. Most after-market car stereos have speaker outputs (in the wire harness) and RCA outputs. If you're connecting your car speakers directly to the new stereo, you use the speaker outputs. If you're using a separate amplifier to drive the speakers, you use the RCA outputs for the connection between the head unit and the amp. You can use both outputs if you want; ie, drive four speakers with the head unit's outputs and a subwoofer with a separate amp. However, if you aren't using any other amplifier, you don't normally have to connect anything to the RCA outputs.
Q: i have a 57 bel air and it needs to be re wired, and one shop i took it to said they would do it for a couple thousand, which i know is very vague but im assuming that means around 2 grand. he said hed put in a good wore harness/fusebox and rewire it properly and he is very trustworthy, and he said its around 30 hours of work to rewire the whole thing. whats a fair price for this? wire harness included (he said the ones he uses run 300-500 depending on which ones, and comes with a nice fusebox)
till now you initiate turning the screwdriver and ripping into your dashboard, set aside time to plot out the entire installation technique. It wasn't till i grew to become into watching a colourful fistful of inventory radio wires--without wiring diagram for reference--that i found out my self belief--er, haste--wasn't going to get me everywhere (plainly the 50 ft of speaker twine i concept may well be greater desirable than sufficient for a tiny Mustang, is approximately 3 ft short once you end all the splicing, which skill I had to rerun all the wiring. i'm no longer kidding approximately this. If there is one piece of suggestion you will desire to persist with it fairly is this: examine by using each and each element's classes to create a grasp installation plan. recognize what you have, the place each and each bit is going to circulate, and what greater desirable kit it is going to take to connect each thing. merely be sure you're optimistic that when you pull aside your dashboard you will have the skill to in high-quality condition it lower back at the same time. examine literature approximately your motor vehicle to confirm you do no longer want greater desirable adapters inclusive of a custom radio faceplate, or, exceedingly with older or imported automobiles, to make optimistic there are no non-common factors in the back of the radio (inclusive of a separate amplifier buried deep interior the console) that would desire to very much complicate the approach. ultimately, get a huge piece of paper and draw a diagram that information the place each twine will run. this might set up your suggestions and are available across any skill problems. examine greater: study the thank you to place in A motor vehicle Radio - standard Mechanics
Q: hey i have a problem my car wont start. i just change the the wiring in the engine the harness but the car i got it off of is a automatic and my car is a 5 speed. can that be the problem? can a automatic wiring harness work for a 5 speed car?
yes, it has to do with the wiring of the wheel to the enging which is connected to your transmission, yeah have it changed from a 5spd wire.
Q: and i also need to know where i can i buy some cheap parts to lower it in the front i have a 68 mustang couple 289 thanks
National Parts Depot ,They specialize in mustang parts NOS parts if available, and have catalogs for parts .They have a WAREHOUSE here in MICHIGAN on Hagerty Rd North of Michigan Avenue .next to South Bd i - 275 . They have other locations I have no idea where you are but you may have one by your location somewhere as well .They are the perfect answer to finding what you need in electrical and more .
Q: I have a 93 honda prelude that has a h23 A 1 non VTech motor. Will the wiring harness from my h23 fit and work on a h22 VTech obd1 motor
I'd recommend that you try and find a U pick/pull auto wreckers and hopefully they will have some vehicles like yours so you can not only find a good replacement harness but also learn more about what exactly is involved.Basically any harness has male-female plug in connectors that may run from under the hood to different comps and sensors etc and it could run to the inside of the vehicle to a fuse box or fuse box connector. Some harness's run along the engine and plug into different devices such as the fuel injectors etc then runs to some firewall etc plug in connectors. Many of different ground wires that may run to the frame/chassis or battery. Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way don't forget to clean the ground surfaces and the wire o-ring connectors with a wire brush and sandpaper etc before you install the replacement harness.
Q: I need to connect the wires from the harness that comes out of the back of the aftermarket radio to the wires on the harness adapter that connects to my factory harness. What is the best way to connect them? Should I use butt connectors? Should I use Crimp connectors? Should I use old fashioned Electrical tape? Is there a way to connect the wires from the back of the aftermarket radio strait into the harness adapter?
use heat shrink butt connectors, and don't go cheap use a good pair of wire crimpers if you want your connections to last
Q: Hey there I was putting all the wires together and I ran into a couple of issues. The wires I have left from the Toyota harness end is Blue- Power AntennaBlack- Chassis Ground. (With this one I used a bypass system, and I was wondering if I need to connect this one to the body or can it just capped off? From the radios end I have a couple other wires sticking out. Violet/white- Of the two lead wires connected to the back lamp, connect the one in which the voltage changes when the gear shift is in reverse position. lt;--- I do not understand where to connect this. If someone could go into detail that would be great! even pictures :DYellow/black- If you use an equipment with mute function, wire this lead to the Audio Mute lead on that equipment. If not, keep the audio mute lead free of any connections. lt;--- do I just cap this one?The rest was easy thanks for the help!!!
The wiring harness is made by three company's and have three different numbers. It is made by metra and the number is 70-1761. It is made by American Internation and the number is TWH-950 or TWH-951. It is also made by scosche and the number is TA02B
Q: I have a 1996 s14 with a s13 ka24de in it (whoever i bought it from cut the harness to fit the motor and now my car won't start).
Well I can connot tell you all the wires will work. Here is my question. Is the engine the same year of the body? Cause from year to year they change the wiring and pluges. You hap to use all the electric parts in that year of the body. Most peoplle don't know the plug end of the wires can be change. Plus newer hard ware will not work on older wiring and the solf wear. Nor will old hard wear and solf wear will work on newer system. That why the mechanic changes the electric hard over to the engine going in. If there is a wiring shop in your area for automtive. It would be the cheapest place to go to have it repair and wired right. 12 votage to a smal amp wire can burn the computer up. Diagram for the wiring is hard to fine. Most shop do even have it. Only wiring shop seem to have them. Guess is so people cannot over ride alarms system and take someone less vehicle. What is out there is pice mill at best.
Q: Everything has been pretty self explanatory so far. I've connected yellow to yellow, red to red, black (ground) to the chassis. I've got the + and - of each speaker connected fine. However the one question I have is that on the pioneer connector there is a blue/white cable. In the pioneer diagram it says blue/white is for Connect to system control terminal of the poweramp or auto-antenna relay control terminal . However on the mitsubishi harness, there is no blue/white cable. There is only a blue wire that says for antenna power. These sound like two different things, so if they are not used, then how will the antenna get power? Also on the harness are two orange wires labeled dimmer and dash illumination. However, on the pioneer connector nothing is mentioned nor in the diagram, so I am guessing these are to be taped off and not used.Still confused about the antenna power though.help!
Go ahead and connect the blue wire to the blue/white. Some head units have both a blue and blue/white wire. A blue wire is the true power antenna wire; it's active only when the tuner function is selected on the head unit. A blue/white wire is active whenever the head unit is turned on. Most Pioneer head units have only the blue/white wire, so that's the best connection for your power antenna. You are correct about the orange and orange/white illumination wires; just tape them off and don't use them. Some head units have a feature where they'll dim the display when you switch the headlights on. Your head unit doesn't have that feature, so there's no need to connect an illumination wire.
Q: I can't seem to find a wiring harness for my 2005 chevy malibu (also known as a classic during this year) aftermarket car stereo head unit. Can anyone help out?
The battery is drained, but it may not be that the battery is the problem. If a circuit sticks open, anything that's left on could drain it. Get a jump start, take it to a mechanic and have the voltage regulator checked as well. Hopefully, all that happened was a door wasn't shut tight and your dome light drained the battery. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
