Q: Is it cheaper to run an electric water pump or a furnace?
heat water/pump. not sure what that is but I know what a heat pump is. If that whats your talking about thean the answer is well...yes and no. depending on cost of gas and electric typical a heat pump is better to run for heat as along as its above freezing outside. It will still work and put out heat all winter but it won't be much heat for what your paying for, at which point your better with gas heat.
Q: I was driving when my temp gauge shot up all the way so i pulled off the next exit and my car shut off and started smoking i noticed the water pump belt was in shreds and what seemed to be anti freeze fluid and water was everywhere. I'm curious what could have broke maybe a gasket or the waterpump it's self besides just the belt?
The bearings within the pump, or the belt tensioner pulley bearings, or even the alternator could have gone bad. Any one of the components that draw from the serpentine belt may be the origin.Once the engine cools it may be determined which component caused the failure. If the water pump turns freely then it's not the source and can be ruled out. Same with the tensioner pulley.
Q: How to remotely control submersible pumps?
This is relatively easy to implement, to a remote control within the specified scope control, and use mobile phone SMS or ringing control, you make a phone call or Clockwork SMS can control the submersible pump switch, the switch is not used since a ran. This remote control switch products, in the Alibaba, my family has used, it is convenient, not expensive, more than 100.
Q: I think my water pump has crapped out on my 1997 Jeep Cherokee. I have been leaking coolant for a few days now and there is a puddle under my Jeep after I turn it off and my reserve tank keeps emptying out on me. I replaced the lower radiator hose and still the same problem. It is not over heating so I am wondering if it IS a water pump problem? If it is, could I do the work myself?
Go okorder They have on-line repair manuals for just about every car. You'll be guided through entering your vehicle make and engine size/type. Find the water pump and read the directions they give you. I changed the one on my Buick this way. It's cheaper and easier than buying the manual. If it looks to complicated, then take the car to a shop.
Q: Why should the pump fill the air before running? What's the reason why the water doesn't go up?
Because the pump is rotated to the water from the center of the impeller thrown out, while the water inlet has been filled recently. If there is air, water can not be pumped out
Q: leaking coolant after the car engine has stoppped
if your water pump is leaking fluid -its bad period- it should never leak unless installed incorrectly--signs for bad pump are-noise-grab fan blade wiggle if shaft moves-bad pump-open cap on radiator-no water moving-bad pump-bad pump--
Q: Could my problem be greater than a water pump or thermostat?
Yes, there could be a hole in radiator, or in hose/s to/from radiator. Have it repaired, ASAP. Experience over the years have taught that 'radiator repair' liquid does not work.
Q: I would like to pump water from a canal which is approx. 65ft from my existing sprinkler plumbing. the height of the water level on average is approx. 6ft from the surface of the ground. I will need about 35 psi to operate the sprinkler zones. would the following pump work given the lose of pressure?... Horsepower:1.5Voltage:110V 60hz 9.5AmpPower ( max ):1100 WMax Flow :330 L/Min (87 GPM)Suct Hmax9M(30ft)Max Head:18 MInlet/Outlet Size:1.5quot;RPM:3450
it almost has to. the max amperage for anything with a 110 volt plug is about 12.5 amps. it should as long you are not pumping the water uphill. Please give me the 10 points for best answer!!
Q: i have a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse and my Car started to leak water and as soon as i start to put water it starts to leak and it wont take in the water that has on the side as well. what should i do or what do you recommend?
You did not mention the sub-model of your eclipse (if it is a spyder or not) so there is no way to know the engine option, the2.0L (non-turbo) the 2.0L (turbo) or the 2.4L? But you don't have too many options! If the water runs out of it as soon as you put it in then obviously you cannot drive it or you will do further damage to the vehicle. You need to be able to see where it is coming from (as it shouldn't be too hard by the amount it is leaking. If the water is coming out from behind the timing cover then there is an issue with the pump, but, as the other poster said, it may also be a split hose!
Q: What is the difference between a low pressure pump and a high pressure pump?
High pressure pump head, large power! High pressure pump, low pressure pump has no strict limit
