FAQ

One day, all of a sudden my amp stopped working. I inspected the battery terminal and noticed their was corrosion on both terminals, cleaned it off, and I inspected the fuse in my positive wire for my amp and noticed the fuse was blown, replaced it and the amp would still not power on, I reinspected the fuse again and it had already blown, I replaced it once more and it did the same thing.
Theres a short either in the power cable or in the amp internally. Make sure theres in no portion of the cable thats rubbed through. Its more than likely a short to ground, or something internal to the amp. Make sure the fuse has the proper amp rating too. good luck
How would I go about stripping 4 gauge power battery cable for my amp? oh and how would i screw the fuse holder down? with what kind of screws? thank you!
I use a knife to strip that wire, just be careful not to nick the wire. Drill a hole and use sheet metal screws to screw the fuse holder down.
can we install power 480 VAC and control 120 VAC cables,,, each one in different conduit but in parallel and adjacent ?also for two control cables ,,,, can they installed in one conduit ?
it isn't the final thank you to do it. there may well be some capacitive or inductive coupling between the 480 and one hundred twenty circuits that would adversely influence the controls. An unintentional short between the 480 and one hundred twenty circuits may well be a disaster on your controls.
i lost my power cable (GRAY CORD IN THE BACK THAT WILL POWER IT) and i need the first version power cable.please make sure its under 110$ and can be bought at a store or website!
its great for stuff like that
Do you know what type of power cable fits this ?
I have never seen anything like it. Consider replacing the fitting with a more common three-prong unit.

Hi all, I'm moving into a new apartment August 1, and I'm wondering how far in advance I need to call the power company, cable company, etc to set up service. I know this is probably a dumb question, but throughout college I moved into apartments where at least one of the other roommates was staying (I took over someone's lease who was moving out, but the other girls stayed so I was the only new resident). But I'm moving into a one bedroom, and I've never had to set these things up before so I just thought I'd ask what the standard time frame is. Is a month enough advance notice--should I start setting this stuff up in early July? Or sooner? Again, I know this is probably dumb but I have no experience so I wanted to ask some people who've been there and done that what the procedure is. Thanks in advance!
You okorder to compare electricity and cable or satellite rates. The cheaper the rate the less you pay :) I have personally never had to pay a deposit even when I was in college. They check your credit for outstanding balances on utility bills and base your deposit if any on that.
i hooked up all my 4 gauge power ground cable from the batteries of my truck i passed both of them thru the fire wall but what i was wondering is will i have a problem since its the power ground coming thru the same hole thru the fire wall or will i be all good ? somebodyy help
Make sure the edges of the hole aren't sharp or rough, to prevent the wire insulation being damaged. Usually, the ground wire on the amp is mounted to nearby metal instead of running a line all the way to the engine. Then, you can beef up the wire from the battery to frame in the engine compartment if necessary.
