Q: Hi well I'm wondering if I can by those 8 pin 6 pin power cords what goes in to your graphics card to plug in to a power socket on the wall. Because I only have 500 wats and at the moment I have the 4850 and already I'm thinking about getting the GTx 295 or something can't remember. But it needs more then 500 wats lmao.I don't wont to upgrade my PSU so will I be able to plug the GTx in to the the wall like as a sprite power cable what goes in to the AC power cable in the wall?BTW I live in Australia so could could you tell me where you are like USA London ect just in case Australia doesn't have it. =)And where can I buy this transfer as well.: pair it with some external 4 pin converters but i would recomend just buying a proper psu

I have a Beyer MCE-81 that requires phantom power and it takes an XLR cable. As for why it's called phantom power, the term refers to a power source external to the microphone, usually either in the form of a phantom power module or a power source built into each channel of a mixing console. Some mikes, by contrast, require a battery for their power source--I used to have a Sony mike that took a C battery.

Q: I mean like the power connector cables. All power supplys have the same cables to supply power from the PSU to components right?: not all PSUs have the same cables but they do all come with the same standard connectors. for example all PSUs regardless of wattage and brand will have the 4 pin molex conectors but not all will have the 6 pin and the 8 pin PCIe connectors and the higher end models will also come with 2 CPU 4 pin power connectors. which PSU you get depends on wattage demand of your system, amperage demand if you have a video card requireing extra power and the number of molex/sata power cables and PCIe 6/8 pin connectors you need.

Q: the contant power cables go to my car alarm, led lights, siren, power locks, power windows, and alarm bypass... they are very small thin awg wires... the ignition and constant power cables under ignition housing are alot thicker... is this possible with no problems?: I wouldn't tap into any wires where your alarm is.. If you have any issue, it could arm your alarm, and you might not be able to start your car, until the wiring was fixed...

Q: So i left my xbox on over night (i know i know) and during the night there was either a power outage or surge, cuz all the electronic clocks had been reset. So i went to my xbox, and the light on the power cable box was red and my xbox wouldnt turn on. I havent tried unplugging it yet cuz the wires are behind my tv and a pain in the *** to get to, but i have a feeling this wont help.do i need to get it repaired?: Unplugging the power brick should sort it out. You can just unplug the end of the wire which goes itno the brick itself rather than the plug socket if that makes it easier.

Q: I have a simple 400watt amp going to a single 10inch kicker sub, nothing crazy. I need to know what gauge of power cable would be safe. An 8 gauge for example...: Hi . 8 gauge is fine for now . Just some advise its better to invest a little more and get a 4 gauge cos with sound u always want more if later u want to upgrade then you have already got your 4 gauge cable installed .

Q: I'm new to PCs and I recently bought a Dell Optiplex 745 desktop PC but it came without cables. I thought I had the correct power cord but it turns out I gave it away to friends. I have the power cable that you plug into the wall which has the standard PC kettle plug (the correct one for PCs not an actual kettle plug) that you'd usually plug into an adapter then into your PC but I'm not sure if you can just plug it in without the correct adapter. I have Googled but cant make head nor tail of it all. And by adapter I mean the cable with the little box that you usually plug into a device such as a PC, laptop or Xbox 360 before you connect the cable to the mains.Thanks.: It all comes down to the amount of output that the pc is set to take. I would think that you would be fine without the adapter, assuming it already works. If you do decide to do this make sure you set up a surge protector, dont just plug it into the wall. A power surge could fry the internals and brick the pc.

Q: how do i run my power cable wire through the firewall, to my battery in my 1995 Monte carlo?please help?: find a big group of wires that go through and just push the power cable through wit the rest of them and if u cant find i group of wires then just drill a hole for it but check wats behind it before drilllin o ya thanks i forgot to tell them that my bad
