While DISCONNECTED from the amp, I accidentally touched the power cable with the ground cable. Sparks went flying and I smelt a funny odor. Since then, when I go to turn on my radio, my amp only lights up for a second and then looses power. Unfortunately, I feel I've fried my ground wire (upon close inspection, the power/battery cables fuse is still good along with amp signal wire and RCA's) My question is simply this: When replacing my ground wire, can I use left over power/battery cable? I have about 3 feet left over from the install. Thank you for your help!!

Yes just make sure to have a way to tell them apart like wrapping the insulation of the ground with black tape.

I got a XFX radeon 5750 graphics card and after a lot of trouble I realized that I hadn't plugged in the 6 pin PCIe power cable, but I don't see any slots on my power supply, does anyone know how to fix this problem? I really don't wanna buy another power supply :(

Image provided in source. Basically, it is a power connector made specifically for pci-e graphics card, which comes from a power supply unit. A molex does not provide enough energy for modern graphics card, so the 6 pin was invented. There is an 8 pin pci-e power connector, which is an upgrade of the 6 pin, and it provides the graphics card with more energy. Most modern power supplies come with 6 pin connectors.

I have a 2003 Honda Accord. I'm trying to put an amp and sub in it. My problem is, I'm not sure how to get the power cable from the batter to the inside of the car. I know it needs to go through the firewall, but I need to know exactly where. I couldn't find any unoccupied holes. I also need to know where the other side of the hole will be so that I can grab the wire from the other side. Pictures would be really great if you have them.

The simplest way to run a wire through the firewall is to look for a rubber grommet where the steering column, brake pedal rod, clutch pedal,etc. go through. You can make a small slit here, or slide the wire along side this component.

NE1 have a surge protector and power filter for there home theatre stuff? If so what is the model and did it make a difference? I have RF grounding problem through my cable and was wondering if the moster cable boxes would help clean up the signal. I have to wrap a wire around the coax cable and ground it to something to make SOME not all of the noise dissappear. A power conditioner should be a part of any home theater products you want to keep. Monster makes a fine product and backs it up with a connected equipment warranty. But your issue is not power line noise it is a ground problem, get the cable fixed with the appropriate ground clamps,etc.. If you don't have a monster or one that is equivalent you need to get one. I had a lightning strike, not a near strike but a direct one. Took out everything that wasn't hooked up to a monster power center. A few of those fried but monster replaced them, they did exactly what they were designed to do not pass on a surge or die to prevent it. Calling monster was not a problem, and my replacement centers were there within a few days.
