Armored Power Cable

High quality Armored Power Cable with a good price

Introduction

Steel Tape Armored (STA) Cable could bear certain mechanical force, but it could not bear great pulling force. It is suitable o be laid underground. STA cable not only has excellent electric, mechanical properties, but also has powerful resistance against heat aging, environmental stress and chemical corrosion. Its structure is simple and convenient to use and can be laid with no restriction of different elevation. The permissible maximum operating temperature is 90℃. Steel tape armored cable (STA Cable) produced by Gongyi Cable Wire Co., Ltd can be produced according to our company standard which is equivalent IEC60502. Gongyi Cable Wire Co., Ltd can design and manufacture other Specification and armored type upon request.

Features

Steel Wire Armored (SWA) Cable commonly abbreviated as SWA cable, is a hard-wearing power cable designed for the supply of mains electricity. It is one of a number of armored electrical cables – which include 11kV Cable and 33kV Cable – and is found in underground systems, power networks and cable ducting. The typical construction of an SWA cable can be broken down as follows:

Conductor: consists of plain stranded copper (cables are classified to indicate the degree of flexibility. Class 2 refers to rigid stranded copper conductors as stipulated by British Standard BS EN 60228:2005)
Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is used in a number of power cables because it has good water resistance and excellent electrical properties. Insulation in cables ensures that conductors and other metal substances do not come into contact with each other.

Bedding: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bedding is used to provide a protective boundary between inner and outer layers of the cable.

Armor: Steel wire armor provides mechanical protection, which means the cable can withstand higher stresses, be buried directly and used in external or underground projects. The armoring is normally connected to earth and can sometimes be used as the circuit protective conductor ("earth wire") for the equipment supplied by cable.
Sheath: a black PVC sheath holds all components of the cable together and provides additional protection from external stresses.

The PVC version of SWA cable, described above, meets the requirements of both British Standard BS5467 and International Electrotechnical Commissionstandard IEC 60502. It is known as SWA BS5467 Cable and it has a voltage rating of 600/1000V. SWA cable can be referred to more generally as mains cable, armored cable, power cable and booklet armored cable. The name power cable, however, applies to a wide range of cables including 6381Y, NYCY, NYY-J and 6491X Cable.

Q: My cousin gave me his old xbox but hes lost the cables so i asked one of my friends for his xbox cables to see if it still works and when i tried plugging it in the power wouldn't go in the xbox my cousin has is a halo 3 limited edition which is either an arcade or hes taken the hardrive and my question is, do all xbox-es have the same Cables for power etc and if not were can i get the right power cable for this console preferably bought in the uk
The 360's power supply is actually 2 parts. First is the cable that actually plugs into the wall. This is identical across all 360s, however the wall plug differs from country to country. Normally you can just get an adapter from the electronics store for this. However, the second part (the brick) is very different. First it differs depending on the country you're in, and then it differs depending on the specific model of 360 your have. Newer models don't need as much power, so their bricks output a lower amount of DC current. Also, the electrical system differs from country to country. In the US for instance, the power system runs on 120V but in most of Europe (including the UK) it's 220V. I do not know if the bricks are capable of adapting to both power systems. If not, plugging power brick from the US into the wall in the UK will damage the power brick and maybe even the 360. The Halo3 360 is one of the older models, while the Arcade is one of the newer ones. You may have damaged your 360 because the power brick sent too much power into the 360. You'll have to call Microsoft's support line so you can read the exact model numbers off the 360 and power brick to determine if they're compatible. They can probably also help you with obtaining a new cable or brick as well.
Q: I ordered this recently only to find that it was just the HDD, no cords whatsoever. I've never had to buy cables for an HDD before, and I'm especially not used to SATA (I didn't make the jump from IDE to SATA until this year.)
You will need to buy a data transfer cable to connect to the hard drive at one end and onto your motherboard at the other end to carry data to and from the hard drive to your computer. The cable is simply called a SATA cable and they are about 18 inches long or so. They are usually either red, orange, blue or yellow in colour and they are about half an inch wide or so. You can buy them from your local computer store for about $ 4.00 or so Canadian. They do however come with your motherboard (you usually get two of them included in the box when you buy it). For the power end of it you will need to find an empty non-connected Molex connector coming from your power supply unit in the computer. Just simply connect this Molex power supply cable to the hard drive at the back of it where indicated. That is all there is to it. Good luck
Q: ...suction cup mount? There is a port on the side of the device that the vehicle power cable fits into, but the manual says the vehicle power cable is designed to plug into the suction cup mount. What happens if I plug the vehicle power cable directly into the gps unit? Does the unit operate, but not charge? Does it not operate at all? Does it operate and charge? Before trying it, I'd like to know so I don't harm the device.
According to the Nuvi 370 instruction manual - this unit appears to be designed to receive power only through the suction cup mount. In other words - the vehicle power adapter connects to the suction cup mount, and when you attach the device to the mount - it receives the power it needs to operate. Looking at the photo in the owner's manual and the identified ports and controls - the device does not appear to have a direct connect power/charge port to which the vehicle power cable can directly connected. If your device does in fact have a charge/power port on its side that the vehicle power cable can directly connect to, then you should be able to make that connection without any problem. It should operate and charge your device just fine. Note: Your unit has a USB port for connecting the device to a computer for updates and for charging (via the USB port). If you want to charge the device without using the suction cup mount (and therefore the vehicle power cable to which it connects), you have the option of buying a vehicle USB power converter/adapter that plugs into your vehicle's 12V power outlet. Then you would simply connect a USB cable from the USB power adapter to your device to charge it. Update: Reading the instructions in the owner's manual a little more closely - it would appear that you can certainly plug in the AC power adapter directly to the unit, although they are not really clear about it. (The manual could have been written a little more clearly in my opinion.) So again, I will reiterate that if the vehicle power adapter connector will mate directly to the device - then it will power and charge the device without having to use the suction cup mount, if that is your desire. BTW, congrats on your new Garmin 370 GPS unit. Really nice!
Q: The hard drive is: Western Digital Caviar SE WD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM, I'm getting from Newegg OEM. I know that OEM's don't come with a SATA cable which is fine but where can I find a compatible power cable? If it comes with one already please let me know. Thank you in advance.
An internal drive would be powered by your power supply. If you don't have any additional SATA power cords in your PC, I believe you can by a 4 prong to SATA converter. Otherwise you may have to look at getting a new power supply for your PC that has more SATA power adapters
Q: Can I use a standard 12 volt power cable on an Elmo projector?
Possibly on the BoxiT-200 that takes 12 to 19 volts at 3 amps, positive center. Read the printing on user manual, it gives the requirements. Most other Elmo projectors are plugged into an ac outlet.
Q: high effency double shielded transmission power cable?
What is your question? Does such a cable exist? Probably but you'll have to be more specific. High efficiency = low loss or low resistance per foot? Double shielded = is the shielding (in dB) critical? Transmission = What frequency, 60 Hz, 1 MHz, 100 MHz, ? Power = Watts, KW, MW Is weight or cost important?
Q: i have the computer powersupply 400w and i dont know what cable to connect to the car stereo???
If is an aftermarket head unit , connect the thick yellow (continuous power) and red (accessory power) wires together to the positive red wire of the power supply 12V. Next connect the black wire (ground) with the black wire of the power supply. You should be ready now.
Q: I have my Clearwire modem but have lost the power cable. Does anyone know what I would look for in a replacement power cable.
I would probably call Clearwire's tech support or customer service line for that.
Q: What is the distance between the power cable and the thermal pipe when it is laid above the thermal pipe?
Cabinets Half Week + Line (Horizontal + Vertical) + End Range Cabinets Half Week Long or Longer to Equipment Reserve + Quota Total Length * 2.5%
Q: Question says it all.
Yes that is good the bigger your power cable the better. If it is bigger it will cause less resistance and energy will flow much more freely and this will mean your music will sound much clearer i personally run 1 guage to all my amps.
