Q: I just currently purchased a 2012 Chevrolet Impala (6-Cylinder) with Dual-Exhausts. I had previously owned a 2004 Pontiac Vibe in which I had only installed a performance Muffler, it made it sound almost like a Rice Burner when it was cold, but once the Exhaust had a chance to warm up, it would actually bring it‘s full effect and sound deep, and throaty like intended, my guess is because of the fact the stock pipes were 2 1/2 Inches in Diameter, and the new muffler was 3 Inches in Diameter, correct me if I‘m wrong, please. To get to my question, I was wondering if I would have the same problem if I only installed the two new performance tuned mufflers, or if I should get a cat-back exhaust and do the full exhaust system? If I just get Mufflers, will it, at any point, rattle, or sound like a Rice Burner, or will it keep its throaty sound whether the engine (exhaust) is cold or warm? I just want to avoid any noise that makes it sound cheap.Thank you in advanced!
It's time to lay down the old pipe my friend, for your own good.
Q: Does the 07-08 civic si sedan skunk2 exhaust system fit for the 2009 civic si sedan?
I don't understand why you are in such a hurry to turn your expensive new car into ricer junk.
Q: I want to get a F1 exhaust system. I found I video on youtube and I guy put it on his honda s2000. Where can I buy one?
I would say cotton. It's very soft to the touch and wool can tend to be scratchy. If wool itches adults, imagine how uncomfortable it is to a baby.
Q: thinking about getting a magnaflow catback exhaust system for my jetta, what do you think? also need a good set of rims and tires
No nonmetals are not magnetic and cannot be unless combined with a metal
Q: I have a vortex high performance muffler already installed on my truck. Now is that considered,cat-back exhaust also? The muffller performs very well and has good hp gain‘s and sounds like a souped up iroc or something. If it is the case, that it is not cat-back,then I need to get a good cat-back system. Please, give me your professional output. Thanks Axelbeast
the amount of pollution that all the cars produce together can create big problems. To solve those problems, cities, states and the federal government create clean-air laws that restrict the amount of pollution that cars can produce. Over the years, automakers have made many refinements to car engines and fuel systems to keep up with these laws. One of these changes came about in 1975 with an interesting device called a catalytic converter. The job of the catalytic converter is to convert harmful pollutants into less harmful emissions before they ever leave the car's? exhaust system. Catalytic converters are amazingly simple devices, so it is incredible to see how big an impact they have. If the catalytic converter is not working it will cause the 02 sensors to not work properly causing the car to adjust wrong for the air fuel mixture. If that happens it will either dump too much and cause it to run rich or not put in enough and thus causing it to bog down and run lean.
Q: for a 06 subaru wrx.is it the tailpipe where it comes out, then the mid-pipe which is the piece behind that, then is it the downpipe next? and then up-pipe, then headers
First suspect would be the bearings in the front forks. Next would be something like cables or windshield brackets interfering with free movement of the handlebars. You need to get this bike to a dealer and get it repaired before you become a widow.
Q: Are there any real benefits to having a dual exhaust system rather than a single exhaust? (especially on a truck)
Less back pressure on the engine. Better mileage and horsepower.
Q: i want to put a aftermarket exhaust system on my car but is it illegal in san francisco, california? and do the chp pick on cars that look jdm more??
that would be a bonit or a boot
Q: i own a 2002 chrystler concorde 2.7, now i know all of you are like oh thats a crappy car, but the thing is i love it its roomy but also has power, its a newly rebuilt engine, so it purrs like a kitten you cant even hear it, now dont get me wrong, i love the nice soothing sound. but what i want is a nice performance sound, now im not talkin about what you see on these honda civics, cherry bombs all that, i just want a mellow sound, kind of drowning noise, that still packs a punch when i accelerate, i want it to sound internal, not like its the tip thats makin the sound, so i was wondering what exhaust should i consider, for my car, i dont want to be a poser, and have no 4 exhaust, so anybody got any ideas?
Try an exhaust system from Borla or Flowmaster. Even if they don't make a cat-back system specific to your car (they may not), you can buy the muffler(s) and have a good exhaust shop fab up some custom fit cat-back pipes for you and put the mufflers in the stock location for not much more (if any more) money than a pre engineered cat-back system costs. From what I've experienced, Borla exhausts typically have a nice deep mellow sound (I had a Borla exhaust on an older Ford Focus and liked it). The Flowmasters I've heard (mostly on V8s) seemed to have a little more bark than Borlas when run wide open but also have a nice deep sound at idle or part throttle. Neither should have that overly brassy fart-can ricer sound, especially since you've got a V6 not a 4cyl.
Q: How much is a decent single or duel exhaust system that will be loud and make a suv sound fast?
i would think a good exhaust system like flowmaster and new 3 inch pipe to the rear a good shop 500-750 dual exhaust system with cat back and x pipe
