Operations Conditions
1. The medium temperature should not be over 60oC, the density 1200Kg/m3, and the pH value within 5-9.
2. During running, the pump must not be lower than the permitted lowest liquid level.
3. Rated voltage 380 V, rated frequency 50 Hz. The motor can run successfully, only under the condition the deviations of both rated voltage and frequency are not over ± 5%.
4. The maximum diameter of the solid grain going through the pump has not to be larger than 50% of that of the pump outlet.

- Q: We have a private well with a 40 year old water pump that is rusting away, and sounds like a truck. It's a double jet well pump sitting on a tank, with a second tank to one side that it's also connected to (with a thick pipe). I don't quite understand why there are two tanks (there's a third which is obviously the hot water). I'm guessing one of these is to hold water, and the other to provide air pressure? In any case, the pump runs OK, it doesn't leak, and provides plenty of pressure. It is just unbelievably loud. I've been told that replacing the bearings might take care of this problem, but seeing how the tank the pump rests upon (with a thin tube connecting it to the pump) is rotting away, and the system is older than I am, should I just replace the whole thing?
- It sounds like you have two pressure tanks. I am going to guess that the one under your pump probably went out and instead of taking it out and re-plumbing everything they just spliced in a new tank. You can get a re-build kit for most pumps but it sound like your pump is pretty old and probably being held together with faith and rust and taking it apart might cause more problems. What I would do is price out what the re-build cost and what labor might be against what a new system might be. If you decide to go with a new system I would suggest looking into getting a submersible pump, using the same tank but making sure it is in a good location and plumbed with a union. when your pressure tank finally goes out it is going to weigh a ton and trying to move it around plumbing can be difficult. good luck and happy holidays.
- Q: I just replaced my starter on my mustang and i when i took it out for a test drive i noticed the engine temperature rising. i drove for maybe 2 minutes max and when i parked the car it had a small amount of white smoke coming out of the engine so i let it cool down, and when it cooled down i checked the radiator, it had absolutely no anti-freeze, which is weird because i had just put a gallon of 50-50 anti-freeze maybe a week ago. So to test it i put 3 cups of water in the radiator turned her on and water was spilling from the water pump. So me and my dad have concluded we have to replace the water pump. I called up Autozone and they have a water pump replacement kit for $70. We don't have money too pay for the labor so can some1 please give me a step by step guide to replacing the water pump.

- No that crap plugs other little water ways that are needed to cool your engine. Things get old and it don't take much for them to start leaking. Changing this is not that difficult I would check out a couple more shops before thinking that would be the cost. Stay away from the dealers they charge the most.

- a water pump circulates the coolant thru the radiator to keep the engine cool. Some are outside of the engine and fairly easy to replace. others are stuck in at rediculous places and require special tools and dynamite to remove. It better be an awful nice car but at least the seller was honest about it so maybe he would be honest about th rest of the car. Its not a BIG expense but maybe you sould get an estimate so you know and can add that to what you will have to pay for the car. and get it fixed right away so you don't have to replace the engine too.

- Q: I have a '97 Grand Prix with a 3800 V-6. There is a single bolt on the left side of the water pump that is directly behind the power steering pump pulley. How do you get the PS pump pulley off? I pulled a tricep trying to get this thing loose, and I'm no further now than when I started on it. Can anybody give me a tip on removing the pulley or the whole PS pump? - here is a step by step on how to re move the pump is a lot easier than tring to pull off the pulley plus it will not come off when it on the engine there is no room for thr puller.

- Most of the time when you use water a large amount the pump will come but should shut off after a reasonable amount of time. When the set pressure is achieved it will shut off. And when the pressure drops it will turn on and the pressure will drop when using water.

He said it would cost about $400 to $500 for the whole job. Is that correct? Were is a good place to go get one? I live in Staten Island New York. Is sears a good place for that job? - well first off you dont mention what size engine. if you have the 3.0 l v-6, then that price will be fair if they are replacing the timing belt and tensioners when they are replacing the water pump. as for a good place it depends on the mechanics and there certifications if they have any ase certified master tech. 20+ years exp.
