Single Stage Double Suction Split Case Pump is used for conveying water or the physical and chemical properties similar to water and other liquids suitable for factories, mines, urban water supply, power stations, agricultural irrigation and water conservancy.

The rotation direction
Viewed from motor, the direction of the pump is anti-clockwise,that is the suction in the left, the discharge in the right.
The rotating direction of the type pump is clockwise, that is the suction in the right, the discharge in the left.
Also can move the driver to another edge according to the user’s requires. Then, the rotating direction, the suction and discharge direction is in the opposite as the described above.

- Q:What things in my car could the seizing of my water pump cause? As I stated in another question, the power steering went, the red battery light came on and it over heated. The mechanic said it seized and i'm lucky the engine didn't seize. He has to look into it more. I'm just really curious as to what kind of damage i've done and the possibilities! thanks in advance.
- well... depending on how severe the problem is, it could be many things. You could simply have to change the water pump, and be on your way. That's the best case scenario. Though, in really bad cases, I've heard of the whole engine having to be replaced. When the water pump stops working, the engine doesn't get cooled properly. So it heats up a ton, and things start to expand. The pistons can start to gouge the cylinder walls, and ultimately they will get so tight that things can't move. That's what the mechanic was talking about. Also, the water expanding could cause some internal gaskets to blow out. So there are a lot of variables at play here. Best case, it's nothing serious. Maybe as little as $100 for a new water pump (depending on the type of car). Or worst case, you fried the engine and need a new one. That can get quite expensive obviously. Hopefully, it's nothing serious.

- I don't think you wouldn't necessarily know if the pump is leaking. It would just make the car overheat because the coolant wouldn't get circulated. The reason it costs so much to have a water-pump replaced is because it is buried deep in the engine bay near the timing belt and it takes several hours to replace it. The actual cost of the water pump is probably under $100.

- The water pump will not spray coolant over the engine bay area. This is a sign of a heater hose split, which is far easier and less expensive to repair. But, call your manager and tell you you wont be in until the car is repaired. Driving it this way will overheat the engine and cause even more potential and expensive problems. See if any neighbor can help until you can get to the repair shop or just tow the car, this will save your engine to last many more useful years. good luck.......

- I'm not clear on what is happening. Surging water pressure can mean that there is no air cushion in your water tank and the pump suddenly is overloaded. This would be indicated if the pump turns on and off in rapid sequence. If you have 50 psi then the system is certainly pressurized and it would appear that the pump is working. If there has been a loss of air cushion then depending on the type of system you have you may have to replace the expansion tank or drain and refill it to get the air cushion back. If there is a tank on your system that has a fitting that looks like the air fitting on a bicycle tire then that is where you can pump in air to restore the air cushion. If the pump constantly runs, and then blows a breaker you may also want to check the pressure switch that turns the pump on and off.

- the water pump will be leaking if it's about to go. you shouldn't hear dripping but should be able to hear the bearings going, kind of like a griding noise. The only way you'd hear water dripping is it were running out lots and you'd have a puddle under the car. It is was over heating was the thermostat checked? shifting has nothing to do with a water pump. check under the car while running to see where the leak is. If you can hear it you should be able to see it. could be an easy fix like a radiator hose.
