The rotation direction
Viewed from motor, the direction of the pump is anti-clockwise,that is the suction in the left, the discharge in the right.
The rotating direction of the type pump is clockwise, that is the suction in the right, the discharge in the left.
Also can move the driver to another edge according to the user’s requires. Then, the rotating direction, the suction and discharge direction is in the opposite as the described above.

- The best thing you could do is maybe run to a library and they might have a Chiltons or Haynes repair manual you can make some copies of, check it out and decide for yourself, but a timing belt is a pretty involved process, not so much for a water pump.

- That part in the picture is a high limit control with manual reset. It has nothing to do with the pump. You will need more than a thermostat to control the added pump. When you have more than one pump the system is zoned .You need a switching relay panel (Taco SR502) that not only turns on the pump , but also the burner. There is a lot to know here and it's best left to a heating contractor.

- I agree with Scott.Truth is though the water pump is a completely different issue than a thermostat.The only relation they have is both are part of the cooling system.If it had been me doing the water pump i wouldn't have changed the thermostat either

- If you are sure you have power to the unit, go to the pressure tank. There should be a pressure control switch with wires going in and out. It may have a reset switch that you can try to reset. - Q: the question i have is can the pump be turning and not leaking but not pump water??? i know the olden days (the good ole days) as long as the impeller was turning it would pump water! leaking seal is when it went bad,or locked up..like a box fan blade as long as it is turning its moving air...
