- Q: How does it hold up to the weather elements and is it easy to scratch/damage on the road from debris?
- Stainless is the most durable exhaust system you can buy. Good quality stainless will not rust and is not easily damaged or scratched.
- Q: i just dont know what the best ones are. many people have suggested the flowmaster T 40. any thoughts?
- Maybe. You *must* check with your dealer to make sure. Or you could actually put in your question the make/model of bike.
- Q: I want to get some idea because I was thinking about buying a V6 mustang and upgrading the exhaust to something that rumbles. I know it wont probably be as loud as the GT but something that rumbles. maybe rumble just a little bit. I only like the GT‘s because their loud and their dual exhaust. Other then that I would want a V6 with the same features at a GT minus the motor and BAD gas mileage lol
- I just beefed up my '01 v6 with magaflow products. Go to local exhaust shops (or buy the following parts if you have the mechanical skill) and get pricing for an X pipe after the cats with two magnaflow mufflers. Mine cost $450 for parts and labor and since exhaust flows through an X pipe rather than gathering in a stock Y pipe, back pressure is reduced significantly. My car has a nice, deep rumble (no ricer lawnmower sound) especially between 2-3k on the tachometer. It also has better gas mileage (less work on the engine pushing exhaust out) and I saw around a 10-12 HP (even more with a cold air intake) gain in performance. Not to mention, the car just looks better with two, shiny tailpipes opposed to one rusty one. Be sure to ask about emissions testing if it applies in your area. Happy hunting, you won't be disappointed.
- Q: Would like to ask about the modified exhaust system to pay attention to things, I just want to change the appearance of four or double out of the exhaust pipe, do not affect the performance of the car, fuel consumption. But also to achieve the street car sound effect. Where should I change? What about changing? Simply answer it
- Exhaust pipe should be changed for drums, increase the two-way dual-exhaust muffler or four-way exhaust muffler. Double out just cut off the back section on it, the middle cut a knife, into a two-way, so that can be out of 4 out of the exhaust left, from the rear of the vehicle cut, change the double, Performance has no effect.
- Q: What could cause a constant electrical current in my exhaust system. When the key is turned, it becomes hot. No bare wires touching the exhaust.Already screwed up my rear 02 sensor. Need to find this, fast.
- O2 sensors have a heater in them, so they have power. Any wiring harness that touches the exhaust manifold and rubs through could do that. Pull fuses one at a time to find which circuit is feeding it.
- Q: What is the best exhaust pipes to put on an 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa for max horsepower gain slipon & full system?
- The top of the line most bad azz system is hands down the Akrapovic Evolution Full Exhaust Systems with a Power Commander III and Custom Map. That will give the best horse power results. If money is not the issue and power is, this is the best of the best!! As for the sound they are also incredible. The have a nice deep sound that is great. I not only sell this system it is what I have on my 04 GSXR1000. As a dealer I can get any system and as a DynoJet Certified Service Center I see the horse power results of all the systems. For me, the performance was the most important aspect of any system too and I selected the Akrapovic. The full system for your bike runs –$1657.95 Get the full system at $1657.95 and I will throw in a Power Commander III USB Free. The PCIII USB retails for $339.95. So $1657.95 Full System Power Commander III USB. If you want some prices on other less expensive systems I have them. I like the Yosh systems second to the Akra systems. 1-866-204-0942
- Q: I have a 5.0L V8 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. I already got a KN FIPK Cold-Air Intake that worked WONDERS. Sometime in the future I would like to put a cat-back exhaust system on it. The catch is, there are tons of companies (edelbrock, gibson, magnaflow, flowmaster, dynomax, etc.) and I don‘t know a whole lot about cat-back exhaust systems. I‘m not looking for SOUND at all, I‘m looking for performance gains like I accomplished with installing the cold-air intake. I want a cat-back exhaust that is going to help my car function easier/better and therefore improve power and fuel economy and all that other good stuff. I‘m not concerned with how it looks or sounds, I‘m concerned with the health and performance of my car. Which company is the best for that in regards for my vehicle, or how could I figure it out on my own? Some of those companies don‘t even have something for my particular vehicle, but I know that they can pretty much finesse whatever you want. THANKS
- Magnaflow usually has the best model coverage and they have a mellow muted tone, performance wise they're all pretty close. For longevity, pay the extra for the stainless steel system.
- Q: my system is apparently rotten form the end all the up to the catalytic converters, so would it be cheaper to get stock exhaust or aftermarket, any suggestions and if i buy a new system where does is start because the mechanic said i needed everything from the catalyitic converter back.it s a 1990
- There is roughly 10-13 laps of rubber on there
- Q: I was originally look at the 2.5 exhaust system APS made, but then I came across this one.
- In art class we did a project with paper mache. Basically we got a piece if cardboard, cut into the shape we wanted, and then we balled up pieces of newspaper taped them to the cardbord so that the whole thing was covered. Then after that we nade our mix which consisted of simply flour water, and we dipped strips of newspaper in the mix covered the object. You wanna do 5 layers in all so do like 2 layers a day. ( this way it has time to dry harden properly) but um yea our projects turned out pretty awesomely by using this method. Hoped i helped (:
- Q: I really need to find out! I am doing a story for my Drivers ED class, and there are no good answers on the internet! And really, I hardly know anything about cars, so if you have to use words such as differential, or muffler, please at least tell me what they are. Thank you! :)
- Depending on where in the exhaust the hole is located. If it is before or in the catalytic converter that will make it illegal. The catalytic converter you could say filters some of the unwanted emission to the air (its doesn't really filter it is done thru chemical reaction). And if the hole is located before or on the muffler it might be illegal. Muffler muffles the exhaust sound and over a certain loudness (Db) it is illegal.
