Q: Does anyone know if churches rent out chairs for private weddings ?: I assume you are talking about renting chairs for the reception, and the answer is, it depends. Each church is different. But usually, if you rent the hall, chairs and tables are included in the price. Otherwise, if you have a caterer, they can arrange for the chairs as well. If you use the church for the ceremony, there will be chairs (of course) in the sanctuary. If you have the ceremony in the reception all, then again, the chairs usually come with the space. If for some reason you have to rent chairs, however, the cost is not too bad. We needed to do it for a big party in my family (not in a church), and the rental company arranged to deliver the chairs and pick them up. I don't remember the price right now, but I remember being surprised at how reasonable it was. There are so many big expenses for a wedding. Chairs are going to be only a minor part. Q: Imagine a typical chair, with legs perpendicular to the seat. It must support 135kg. The two front legs act as two supports. Instead of the back two legs, there is one support. This one support must be between the middle of the chair and where the two back legs would be. What calculations could I carry out to work out the load on each support for when the back leg is in different positions? Thanks!: Can we look at the cautions and exceptions to this model? First of all the back legs in a normal chair are not at the back of the seat but extend out further so they are under the top of the back of the chair or further. In addition, the center of mass of someone sitting in a chair is not in the center of the chair but is close to the bottom of the tilted back where the hip bones support the upper half or more of the body weight. Having said that, change the specifications so the 135kg is centered on the chair seat and the single support is moved in various locations from that center away from the front legs (and the chair itself has no weight) The distance from the front legs to the middle is D and the seat is 2D deep. The distance from the middle to the rear support is X and varies from 0 to D. When X is 0, then entire weight is on the rear support. When X is D, then half the weight is on the front legs and half on the support. Therefore the amount of weight in any position is F = 135 * (D / (D + X)) When X =0, D/D+0 = 1 When X =D, D/D+D = 1/2

Q: Where can I fix a woobly chair? I love my dining chairs, but they are all woobly.: I just fixed a wobbly stool and now it is all tight again. I used a product from the hardware store and it has a name that is something like Chair-fixer or chair-tight. It is on the glue aisle. It turned out to be a big bottle of superglue! But it worked! I used it on every leg and rung and I used up the whole bottle, but it was worth it! Just be sure to follow the directions, mainly so that you won't spill the superglue on the surrounding areas. Q: I've had one for a couple of weeks now and use it for a couple of hours a day. I've always sat with my lower back causing me to hunch over.Will i notice a difference to my posture when i sit in normal chairs over the next few weeks/months?: I gave up on my kneeling chair last year. I tried the ball chair also, and it was about the same. I finally bought a standard desk chair which was designed to support the lower back. I trained myself to sit with my back snugly against the back support and my feet strait down at a 90 degree angle. Then I limited my desk work time to 30 minute intervals, taking a 5 minute break between, in which I would walk around. My back problems have been mostly eliminated. My opinion, for what it's worth is that the Ball Chair and the Kneeling Chair are not the answer to solving low back pain.
